OUTBOARD MOTOR
An outboard motor includes a first case accommodating an engine and an upper housing below the first case. At least a portion of an exhaust passage is in the upper housing and extends downward from the engine. A second case is below the upper housing. The second case includes a torpedo portion, an exhaust inlet, an exhaust outlet, and an exhaust chamber. The torpedo portion includes an internal space and a rear end. A propeller shaft is in the internal space of the torpedo portion. The rear end of the torpedo portion is forward of at least a portion of the exhaust passage as seen in a side view. The exhaust passage is connected to the exhaust inlet. The exhaust outlet communicates with the internal space of the torpedo section. The exhaust chamber communicates the exhaust inlet with the exhaust outlet.
OUTBOARD MOTOR
An outboard motor includes a first exhaust passage connected to an exhaust port and extending downward from the exhaust port through a support frame on a lateral side of a cylinder head. A first case accommodates an engine. A second case accommodates a propeller shaft. A third case is between the first case and the second case in a vertical direction. An exhaust pipe is between the first case and the second case in the vertical direction. The exhaust pipe is connected to the first exhaust passage. At least a portion of the exhaust pipe is outside the third case as seen in a side view of the outboard motor. An exterior cover is between the first case and the second case in the vertical direction. The exterior cover covers the exhaust pipe.
EXHAUST GAS HEATING ELEMENT
An exhaust gas heating element comprises a wafer that is substantially cylindrical with an axis and is made of metallic foam. A flexible, electrical insulating sheet covers an edge of the wafer with an overlap on each face of the wafer. A rigid assembly ring, a housing, and two electrodes are also provided. The rigid assembly ring is made from a cylinder trunk, at least a first edge of which is serrated in such a way as to be able to immobilize the wafer and the flexible, electrical insulating sheet in the rigid assembly ring by folding teeth, substantially at 90°.
Exhaust Isolator Bracket with Alignment Feature
An isolator for supporting an exhaust component from a portion of a vehicle via a hanger includes elastomeric isolator element having at least one aperture adapted to receive the hanger and an isolator or bracket for receiving and supporting the elastomeric isolator element. The isolator bracket includes a mounting structure including a first aperture and a second aperture. The isolator bracket is adapted to be fixed to the vehicle by a single fastener extending through the first aperture. The second aperture extends through the isolator bracket and includes an internal wall shaped as a polygon. A target orientation of the isolator bracket relative to the vehicle is obtained when the internal wall of the second aperture is angularly oriented and coaxially aligned with a corresponding aperture in the portion of the vehicle having an internal surface with the same polygon shape as the second aperture.
EXHAUST MUFFLER SUPPORTING STRUCTURE
An exhaust muffler supporting structure includes left and right vehicle body-side hangers, left and right muffler-side hangers, suspending hooks, suspended hooks, and left and right cushion members. The vehicle body-side hangers extend from a bottom of a vehicle body. The muffler-side hangers are fixed to an exhaust system body. The suspending hooks are disposed respectively on the vehicle body-side hangers. The suspended hooks are disposed respectively on the muffler-side hangers. The cushion members each have first and second hook holes into which a corresponding one of the suspending hooks and a corresponding one of the suspended hooks are inserted respectively. The first and second hook holes are disposed on respective sides of each of the cushion members in a main axis direction. An elastic main axis obtained based on characteristics of the cushion members is set on a gravity center position of the exhaust system body.
Exhaust aftertreatment sensor table mounting apparatus and method of installing the same
A sensor table mounting system includes an insulating blanket assembly and a senor table. The insulating blanket assembly is configured to surround an external housing surface of an exhaust aftertreatment component housing. The insulating blanket assembly includes an inner blanket surface, an outer blanket surface, and a first restraint. The outer blanket surface is opposite the inner blanket surface. The first restraint includes a first restraint first end that is fixed to the outer blanket surface. The sensor table includes a platform, a first standoff, a second standoff, a first footing, and a second footing. The first footing is offset from the platform by the first standoff and configured to be coupled to the first restraint. The second footing is offset from the platform by the second standoff and configured to be coupled to the first restraint.
Device for safely re-directing carbon monoxide exhaust from generators
A device for safely re-directing carbon monoxide exhaust from generators includes a base, a holding mechanism, at least one support, and an exhaust tube. The base is configured to be positioned on a grounding surface. The holding mechanism is suspended at an elevated height from the base. The at least one support is connected between the base and the holding mechanism. The at least one support is configured to support the holding mechanism at the elevated height in a vertical orientation. The exhaust tube is configured to be connected to an exhaust outlet of the generator on a first end. The exhaust tube is configured to extend from the exhaust outlet of the generator vertically through the holding mechanism to a safe exhaust height above the exhaust outlet of the generator.
Muffler filter
A muffler filter includes a housing including an aperture, a cartridge holder, at least one activated filter, an attachable lock associated with the activated filter, and a plurality of clamps. The muffler filter is configured to be securely affixed to a muffler of a vehicle allowing the activated filter to sieve noxious fumes from emissions from the muffler.
