HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE, EXHAUST GAS PURIFYING DEVICE AND EXHAUST SYSTEM
A pillar shaped honeycomb structure, including: a porous partition wall that define a plurality of cells, the plurality of cells forming flow paths for a fluid, the plurality of cells extending from an inflow end face to an outflow end face; and an outer peripheral wall located at the outermost circumference. The plurality of cells include: a plurality of first cells; and a plurality of second cells having a lower cross-sectional area than that of the plurality of first cells. An interior of each of the second cells is filled with a material comprising a magnetic substance. Each of the second cells are arranged adjacent to at least one of the first cells.
MUFFLER DEVICE
A lightweight and compact muffler device that can be installed in a limited space in an inside of a generator. A top cover and an undercover (end cover) provided on a top and a bottom of a vertically disposed casing are each formed in substantially trapezoidal shape. Thereby, an inner capacity of the casing can be secured to be large, as a result of which, a size of the muffler device can be made compact, and no extra component is required, so that reduction in manufacturing cost and reduction in weight can be achieved. Since the casing is disposed vertically, it is possible to install the casing even when an installation space is small in an inside of a housing of a generator, and it is possible to make the generator compact.
ACOUSTIC VOLUME AND INSULATION IN HOT-END OF EXHAUST SYSTEMS
A vehicle exhaust system includes a component housing defining an internal cavity and at least one exhaust gas treatment element positioned within the internal cavity. A resonator volume is connected in parallel with the internal cavity via at least one resonator element and insulating material is located within the resonator volume.
Two-Stroke Engine Exhaust Resonator With Exhaust Gas Catalytic Converter
A two-stroke engine exhaust resonator with an exhaust gas catalytic converter comprising an inlet opening, wherein the inlet opening is followed by the first end of a stabilizing tube with a catalytic converter mounted thereon, characterized in that the other end of the stabilizing tube is directed towards the primary reflective surface, the primary reflective surface is followed by the first end of a resonator casing, which is surrounding the stabilizing tube, wherein the resonator casing exceeds at least over a part of the catalytic converter on the stabilizing tube, wherein a resonator outlet opening is arranged in the resonator casing between its first and second end or in the primary reflective surface, and at least a part of the resonator casing surrounding the stabilizing tube is surrounded by a cooler.
PILLAR SHAPED HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE, EXHAUST GAS PURIFYING DEVICE, EXHAUST SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE
A pillar shaped honeycomb structure includes: a porous partition wall that defines a plurality of cells, the cells forming flow paths for a fluid, the cells extending from an inflow end face to an outflow end face; and an outer peripheral wall located at the outermost circumference. At least a part of surfaces of the partition walls has a surface layer, and the surface layer includes magnetic particles and has permeability.
Outlet for exhaust gas aftertreatment module
An aftertreatment module is disclosed. The aftertreatment module may include a housing and a mounting plate within the housing that forms an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber. The aftertreatment module may include an inlet for exhaust gas from a combustion engine to flow into the inlet chamber and an outlet through a top plate of the housing for the exhaust gas to flow from the outlet chamber, wherein the outlet comprises a plurality of perforations. The aftertreatment module may include an outlet sensor mounted on the outlet to obtain information relating to the exhaust gas as the exhaust gas flows from the outlet chamber and a set of catalysts mounted to the mounting plate to treat the exhaust gas as the exhaust gas flows from the inlet chamber to the outlet chamber. The aftertreatment module may include a drain port through a side plate of the housing.
AFTERTREATMENT SYSTEM INCLUDING NOISE REDUCING COMPONENTS
An apparatus includes a housing defining an internal volume and structured to house aftertreatment component for reducing constituents of an exhaust gas. A noise reducing component is disposed within the internal volume and structured to extend around at least a portion of the aftertreatment component.
EXHAUST GAS AFTERTREATMENT DEVICE
A device for the aftertreatment of exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine, having at least one catalytic converter, through which exhaust gas can flow, and at least one muffler formed by a closed volume and through which exhaust gas can flow along an inflow section to an outflow section. The catalytic converter is formed by a honeycomb body that has a plurality of flow channels through which exhaust gas can flow. The honeycomb body is accommodated in a casing tube, which surrounds the honeycomb body, and is connected to the casing tube in a materially bonded manner. The catalytic converter is arranged in the interior of the muffler.
EXHAUST GAS HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM AND EXHAUST SYSTEM
An exhaust gas heat recovery system for an internal combustion engine has a pump for conveying an operating fluid, an evaporator for converting the operating fluid from the liquid state to the gaseous state, and a condenser for liquefaction of the operating fluid, and having an expansion engine through which the gaseous operating fluid can flow. A sensor is arranged on the expansion engine with which a function of the expansion engine can be monitored. An exhaust system may have such an exhaust gas heat recovery system, and a method for the diagnosis of such an exhaust heat recovery system.
EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION DEVICE
An exhaust gas purification device includes a pre-oxidation catalyst disposed in an exhaust gas passage and a muffler that is provided in such a manner as to surround the pre-oxidation catalyst, and discharges exhaust gas while reducing noise. The muffler has an inlet which is connected to an upstream side exhaust pipe and an outlet which is connected to a downstream side exhaust pipe. The exhaust gas purification device includes a downstream side purification device that is disposed in the exhaust gas passage, and accommodates a second oxidation catalyst and a particulate matter removing filter. The exhaust gas is discharged to the atmosphere after the exhaust gas flows through the downstream side purification device.
