Exhaust aftertreatment arrangement for cleaning exhaust gases
An exhaust aftertreatment arrangement for cleaning exhaust gases includes a fluid channel for providing a fluid pathway for the exhaust gases, a selective catalyst reduction, SCR, catalyst, arranged in or downstream the fluid channel, a heating arrangement for heating the exhaust gases, the heating arrangement being arranged upstream of the SCR catalyst and comprising an electrical heating element, a first fluid pathway for guiding the exhaust gases to the electrical heating element, and a second fluid pathway for guiding the exhaust gases to bypass the electrical heating element, wherein the heating arrangement is removably arranged relative the fluid channel.
EHC line leakage diagnosis method and vehicle exhaust system thereof
An EHC line leakage diagnosis method can operate a heater of an oxygen detector when satisfying one or more conditions of an engine off time, a coolant temperature, and an outside air temperature by a diagnosis controller upon the key-on of the non-operation of an engine, and then, determine the normality or abnormality of a temperature drop using a change in a temperature value of a signal value and the temperature value detected by the oxygen detector after an air pump is driven, and then confirm the leakage of an exhaust line and a line on the rear end portion of an EHC valve of an air line using the number of times of the occurrence of the abnormality of the temperature drop, and can perform the failure diagnosis without generating the exhaust gas by not operating an engine.
Vehicle control device
A vehicle includes an internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine includes an exhaust passage, and a filter for collecting particulate matter contained in the exhaust gas. The vehicle includes a cooling fan for circulating air around a radiator and the filter. A control device of the vehicle executes an accumulated amount calculation process for calculating a particulate matter accumulated amount. The control device executes a regeneration process under a condition that the particulate matter accumulated amount exceeds a specified amount. The regeneration process is a process for regenerating the filter when the particulate matter collected on the filter is combusted. The control device executes a fan drive process for driving the cooling fan. When the regeneration process is being executed, the control device executes the fan drive process regardless of a coolant temperature under a condition that a vehicle speed is smaller than a specified speed.
INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE WITH EXHAUST GAS AFTERTREATMENT AND CONTROL OF THE NITROGEN OXIDE EMISSIONS
An internal combustion engine, with an engine regulating device and an exhaust gas aftertreatment device with an SCR catalytic converter for the reduction of at least one NO.sub.x component, and with a catalytic converter regulating device, wherein the engine regulating device is prescribed a target value for an NO.sub.x mean value of the NO.sub.x component of the exhaust gases, which mean value results at an outlet point of the exhaust gas aftertreatment device in relation to a predefinable time period, and the engine regulating device is configured at least in one operating mode to continuously calculate an NO.sub.x reference value for the catalytic converter regulating device with consideration of No.sub.x components which have already been emitted and the predefined target value, which reference value is selected in such a way that the predefined target value results at the outlet point of the exhaust gas aftertreatment device at the end of the predefinable time period when the calculated NO.sub.x reference value of the catalytic converter regulating device is fed as NO.sub.x setpoint value to the regulating means.
Holder for an electric heating disk in an exhaust gas aftertreatment device
An exhaust gas treatment device for arranging in an exhaust gas section of a motor vehicle that includes a heating disk which is assigned to an exhaust gas aftertreatment component. The heating disk is configured by way of a flat heating element and a holder which is coupled to the former. The holder extends over the cross-sectional area of the heating element, and the holder itself is of disk-shaped configuration. The inner face of the heating disk is configured by way of arcuate spokes which are coupled irregularly to one another.
Holder for an electric heating element in an exhaust-gas aftertreatment device
An exhaust-gas treatment device for arrangement in an exhaust system of a motor vehicle, having a heating element, which is assigned to an exhaust-gas aftertreatment component, for example, a catalytic converter. The heating element is formed by a heating conductor and by a holder coupled to said heating conductor, wherein the holder extends over the cross-sectional area of the heating element, and the holder is formed by a lattice-like structure, wherein the lattice-like structure is formed by arcuate spokes which are coupled to one another in an irregular manner, wherein the heating conductor and the holder have a basin-like configuration as viewed in longitudinal section in an exhaust-gas flow direction.
EXHAUST GAS PROCESSING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system for removing dust from exhaust gas, comprising a dust removing system inlet, a dust removing system outlet, and an electric field apparatus (1021). The electric field apparatus (1021) comprises an electric field apparatus inlet, an electric field apparatus outlet, a dust-removing electric field cathode (10212) and a dust-removing electric field anode (10211). The dust-removing electric field cathode (10212) and the dust-removing electric field anode (10211) are used to generate an ionizing electric field for dust removal. When a certain amount of dust has accumulated on the electric field apparatus, the electric field apparatus performs a black carbon removal process, thereby avoiding a reduced electrode gap resulting from an increased thickness of black carbon.
Control system for vehicle having CO2 capturing device
A control system for a vehicle having a CO2 capturing device configured to capture CO2 certainly from gas streams. The CO2 captured by the CO2 capturing device is desorbed from the CO2 capturing device by an energy available in the vehicle. A controller is configured to discharge the CO2 captured by the CO2 capturing device into the recovery station by energy delivered from the recovery station to the CO2 capturing device when the energy available in the vehicle is less than a predetermined value.
ELECTRICAL POWER CONTROL METHOD
Systems and methods are described for electrical power control of a hybrid vehicle. A change in an electrical load of an ancillary component of the vehicle is determined. In response to determining the change in the electrical load of the ancillary component, an electrical load of an electrically heated catalyst of the vehicle is adjusted.
