The invention relates to a delivery module (1) for a metering system for metering a reducing agent, in particular an aqueous urea solution, into an exhaust gas section of a motor vehicle, comprising a pump (2) which is connected or can be connected to a reducing agent storage tank (4) on the suction side via a suction line (3) and to a metering module (6) on the pressure side via a delivery line (5), wherein a return line (7) which leads back into the storage tank (4) branches off from the delivery line (5). According to the invention, a filter (8) is integrated into the delivery module (1) on the suction side. The invention additionally relates to a metering system comprising such a delivery module (1).

SCR DOSER

A SCR doser includes an electrical adapter extending from an inner end electrically connected to the pins of a solenoid to an outer end having electrical terminals. The outer end outwardly protrudes from an aperture provided in a base wall of the housing of the SCR doser.

Water ingress preventing structure for tailpipe

Disclosed is a water ingress preventive structure for a tailpipe which discharges exhaust gas outside of a vehicle at a terminal of an exhaust passage system. A curved shape is imparted to the tailpipe. A partition is mounted on an inner periphery of a curved portion outward of a curved direction so as to be gradually spaced apart from the inner periphery toward downstream in a direction of flow of the exhaust gas. Thus, a dead end portion is defined by the partition and the inner periphery of the curved portion outward of the curved direction.

CLAMP

A clamp for use in joining conduit segments comprising a ring sector and a radially projecting channel sector having first and second straps, first and second compression members, a central compression member, and a fastener wherein upon tightening the fastener, axial forces along the fastener are transferred into clamping forces around the clamp in order to seal the conduit segments.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONDUCTING ONBOARD ENGINE CLEANING ROUTINES IN A VEHICLE
20190136801 · 2019-05-09 ·

Methods and systems are provided for reducing carbon buildup in an exhaust gas recirculation system of an engine of a vehicle. In one example, a method comprises injecting a diesel exhaust fluid into an intake manifold of the engine, routing the diesel exhaust fluid into the exhaust gas recirculation system, and vaporizing the diesel exhaust fluid in the exhaust gas recirculation system. In this way, any carbon deposits associated with an exhaust gas recirculation valve and/or exhaust gas recirculation passage may be reduced, which may increase fuel economy and may reduce undesired emissions.

Internal combustion engine control apparatus and internal combustion engine control method

An internal combustion engine control apparatus includes a secondary air supply device having a secondary air supply passage that supplies secondary air pumped by an air pump into an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine and an opening/closing unit that opens and closes the secondary air supply passage. A controller provided in the internal combustion engine control apparatus sets the opening/closing unit in an open condition such that the secondary air is supplied to the secondary air supply passage, and then executes foreign matter removal control in which the opening/closing unit is opened and closed. As a result, foreign matter caught in an ASV during AI control is removed immediately. By implementing OBD after removing the foreign matter, detection of an open sticking abnormality caused by foreign matter caught in the ASV is suppressed.

EXHAUST COUPLING SYSTEM AND METHOD
20180363536 · 2018-12-20 · ·

A system and method including a non-metallic shell to prevent debris from contacting a component of an exhaust system is disclosed. The shell may be formed from silicone. The shell may also form part of an assembly including a metallic corrugated body, which may be positioned between two pipe sections of the exhaust system. The shell may be separate from an exhaust coupler and be secured separately to the two pipe sections connected to the exhaust coupler.

Air delivery system for a farm machine
10137768 · 2018-11-27 · ·

An air delivery system for a farm machine according to the present disclosure can include a first rotary blower and a first aftertreatment enclosure. The first rotary blower can include a housing and have a first rotor and a second rotor rotatably disposed in the housing. The first and second rotors can have meshed lobes for transporting air from an inlet port to an outlet port. A first aftertreatment enclosure can be configured on the farm machine and include a first inlet, a second inlet and an outlet. The first inlet can receive engine exhaust from an engine of the farm machine. The second inlet can receive air from the rotary blower. A temperature of the engine exhaust can be reduced upon exiting the first aftertreatment enclosure through the outlet.

DEPOSIT ESTIMATION DEVICE AND COMBUSTION SYSTEM CONTROL DEVICE
20180320624 · 2018-11-08 ·

A deposit estimation device includes an acquisition unit, a soot calculation unit, an adhesion index calculation unit, and a deposit amount estimation unit. The acquisition unit acquires the mixing ratio of each of a plurality of types of molecular structures contained in a fuel to be used for combustion of a combustion system. The soot calculation unit calculates a soot generation index, representing how likely a soot component is to be generated due to combustion, based on the mixing ratio acquired by the acquisition unit. The adhesion index calculation unit calculates an adhesion index, representing how likely a soluble organic component generated due to combustion is to adhere, based on a value detected by a sensor for detecting the property of a fuel or the mixing ratio acquired by the acquisition unit. The deposit amount estimation unit estimates a deposit amount of a soluble organic component that has adhered to a predetermined portion of the combustion system, based on the soot generation index calculated by the soot calculation unit and the adhesion index calculated by the adhesion index calculation unit.
