RESPIRATORY THERAPY SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATING A RESPIRATORY THERAPY SYSTEM

The present invention relates to a respiratory therapy system having two respiratory therapy devices operable separately and independently of one another. The respiratory therapy devices each have a control unit and each have a device component controllable by means of the control unit for providing a device function. In this case, a coupling unit is provided for establishing an operational connection between the respiratory therapy devices. The coupling unit is designed for the purpose of controlling the control units of the respiratory therapy devices when the operational connection is established.

A vision protection method is provided to ensure a viewer to rest his/her eyes after viewing on an electronic device for a certain period, wherein the eyesight protection method includes the steps of detecting at least one of eye activities of the viewer and working parameter of the electronic device in a working mode of the electronic device during the viewer is working on a current work displaying by the electronic device; switching the working mode of the electronic device to a resting mode when an abnormal eye activity of the viewer is detected; and switching the electronic device from the resting mode back to the working mode to resume the display of the current work of the electronic device. Therefore, the viewer is enforced to rest his/her eyes after every certain period.

Inhalation training device and system for practicing of an inhalation process of a patient

An inhalation training device and inhalation training system for practicing of an inhalation process of a patient. The inhalation training device has a that is housing attachable to and detachable from a mouthpiece of an inhaler designed to provide a drug to the patient and a microphone adapted to measure the airflow occurring in the mouthpiece of the inhaler during an inhalation process of the patient. The inhalation training system includes the inhalation training device, an inhaler and an electronic device configured for evaluation of a signal received from the inhalation training device and for visual and/or audio feedback to the patient.

System, method, use and information storage medium for practicing of an inhalation process

An inhalation training system and a method for practicing of an inhalation process and a method of operating a portable communications device in this respect and to an information storage medium are improved. An air flow during inhalation is converted into an acoustic signal, especially a whistling tone. The acoustic signal is picked up by a microphone of a portable communications device, such as a smartphone, and is electronically evaluated. The inhalation training system has a mouthpiece and a converter apparatus for converting the air flow into the acoustic signal and in addition has a holding apparatus for especially detachable holding of the communications device.

Method and apparatus for improved ventilation and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
10201474 · 2019-02-12 ·

A cardio-pulmonary resuscitation apparatus and method that provides mechanical compressions and oxygen delivery to a patient. The delivered oxygen quantity is based on the anterior to posterior distance of the patient. Tidal volumes of the delivered oxygen are calculated from the anterior to posterior distance. The compressions and oxygen may be delivered in sequences that enhance the circulation of the patient. The compressions may be sensed by a sensor to effect such sequences. Oxygen delivered based on the anterior to posterior distance may be further adjusted by airway pressure. Embodiments may include a tube with lumens to deliver oxygen, monitor airway pressure, and contain wires to activate the airway valve and monitor airway pressure. Embodiments may also include a carbon dioxide sensor and may use two tidal volumes, the larger one to sample the end tidal carbon dioxide. Also included in some embodiments is a safety relief valve.

ENHANCING MUSIC FOR REPETITIVE MOTION ACTIVITIES
20190022351 · 2019-01-24 ·

A method of providing repetitive motion therapy comprising providing access to audio content; selecting audio content for delivery to a patient; performing an analysis on the selected audio content, the analysis identifying audio features of the selected audio content, and extracting rhythmic and structural features of the selected audio content; performing an entrainment suitability analysis on the selected audio content; generating entrainment assistance cue(s) to the selected audio content, the assistance cue(s) including a sound added to the audio content; applying the assistance cues to the audio content simultaneously with playing the selected audio content; evaluating a therapeutic effect on the patient, wherein the selected audio content continues to play when a therapeutic threshold is detected, and a second audio content is selected for delivery to the patient when a therapeutic threshold is not detected.
