POST-TREATMENT SYSTEM, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING POST-TREATMENT SYSTEM, AND VEHICLE
A post-treatment system includes two SCRs, a second SCR is connected to a booster in parallel, and a three-way valve is arranged before the second SCR and the booster, such that whether an exhaust gas flows through the second SCR or the booster is controlled by means of controlling the three-way valve. In the case of a low temperature, the three-way valve is controlled to close a branch of the booster, such that the exhaust gas flows through the second SCR and a first SCR that are connected in series, thereby reducing the energy loss caused by the exhaust gas flowing through the booster, and improving the NO.sub.x conversion efficiency in the case of a low temperature. In a case of a high temperature, the three-way valve is controlled to close a by-pass line, such that the exhaust gas flows through the booster and the first SCR.

EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT DEVICE, A MARINE VESSEL AND A GENSET
An exhaust gas after-treatment device in a driveline application, which device comprising a casing having an upper surface, a lower surface and side surfaces connecting the upper and lower surfaces to form an enclosed volume. The casing is provided with an exhaust inlet opening and an exhaust outlet opening wherein exhaust gas is supplied to and discharged from the casing through the upper surface. At least one of the exhaust inlet and outlet openings is operatively connected to its corresponding inlet or outlet pipe by a pipe connector having a first opening facing the casing and a second opening facing away from the casing. The at least one pipe connector is arranged to be rotatable about the central axis of its associated inlet or outlet opening in the casing into a predetermined angular position relative to the opening in the casing.
Systems for a fastening device of an exhaust-gas aftertreatment system
Systems are provided for a coupling element. In one example, the coupling element comprises a rotating element configured to rotate an aftertreatment device relative to a section of an exhaust passage in response to a force greater than a threshold force.
System and method for exhaust gas aftertreatment of an internal combustion engine
The invention relates to an exhaust gas aftertreatment system for an internal combustion engine (10), in particular for an internal combustion engine (10) which is charged by means of a turbocharger (30) and spark-ignited by means of spark plugs (16). A particulate filter (24) and an electrically heatable three-way catalytic converter (26) downstream of the particulate filter (24) are arranged in a position close to the engine in an exhaust gas system (20) connected to an outlet (12) of the internal combustion engine (10). A further three-way catalytic converter (28) is arranged in the underbody position of the motor vehicle downstream of the electrically heatable catalytic converter (26). According to the invention, the electrically heatable three-way catalytic converter (26) is heated electrically after engine start, and the particulate filter (24), the electrically heatable three-way catalytic converter (26) and the further three-way catalytic converter are additionally heated by the exhaust gas flow from the internal combustion engine (10). The electric heating of the electrically heatable three-way catalytic converter (26) is switched off when the electrically heatable three-way catalytic converter (26) has reached its light-off temperature.
Vehicle
A vehicle includes a turbine engine. The turbine engine is mounted on a frame member on a front side of the vehicle and has a turbine engine body and an exhaust pipe coupled to a rear side of the turbine engine body in a front-rear direction of the vehicle. A fragile part configured to be crushed more easily than another part of the exhaust pipe is formed in the exhaust pipe on the turbine engine body side.
EXHAUST AFTERTREATMENT COMPONENT WITH DIRECTIONAL VALVE
An exhaust system includes a first aftertreatment substrate configured to receive exhaust gases from an engine and a second aftertreatment substrate downstream of the first aftertreatment substrate, wherein the first aftertreatment substrate is smaller than the second aftertreatment substrate. A multi-way valve is configured to direct exhaust gas through the first aftertreatment substrate prior to entering the second aftertreatment substrate when an exhaust gas temperature is below a predetermined temperature and is configured to allow exhaust gas to bypass the first aftertreatment substrate and enter the second aftertreatment substrate when the exhaust gas temperature is above the predetermined temperature.
Exhaust system for engine
An exhaust system is provided to an engine having an output shaft extending in a vehicle front-and-rear direction. The system includes an exhaust passage including a first passage part extending forward from a turbine housing of a turbocharger, a fourth passage part extending in the front-and-rear direction below the turbine housing, a second passage part disposed so that it extends vertically and its center axis inclines forward and upward, and a third passage part having a downstream connecting part extending forward from a front end of the fourth passage part, and an upstream connecting part extending forward and upward from an upper part of a front end of the downstream connecting part. The downstream part has, at a lower part of its front end, an attaching part extending downwardly from a lower edge of the upstream part, and to which a sensor or an injector is attached.
EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION SYSTEM FOR A GASOLINE ENGINE
Subject of the invention is an exhaust gas purification system for a gasoline engine, comprising in consecutive order the following devices:
a first three-way-catalyst (TWC1), a gasoline particulate filter (GPF) and a second three-way-catalyst (TWC2),
