Bag/valve/mask resuscitator stabilizer arm and method of use
11033701 · 2021-06-15 · ·

A stabilizer arm for a BVM resuscitator and method of use is disclosed. The stabilizer arm provides the necessary support to the reservoir bag to enable the user to exert downward pressure on the BVM resuscitator while simultaneously squeezing the reservoir bag, and creates force that is focused, directed, and realized at the mask of the assembly. Due to the presence of the stabilizer arm, this pressure pushes the facial mask downward to assist in forming a tight mask to face seal. The stabilizer arm may be internal, external or integrated into the reservoir bag wall of the BVM resuscitator and may be retro-fitted or original equipment manufactured. The external stabilizer arm may be designed to engage the outlet port neck of the BVM resuscitator with an open collar or a closed collar. The internal stabilizer arm may be configured to fit BVM resuscitators having single piece or multiple piece outlet valve design.

PRESSURE REGULATING VALVE

A pressure regulating or pressure relief device comprises an inlet and an outlet chamber with an outlet. The inlet is in fluid communication with the outlet chamber. A valve seat is located between the inlet and the outlet. A valve member is biased to seal against the valve seat, and displaces from the valve seat by an inlet pressure at the inlet increasing above a pressure threshold to allow a flow of gases from the inlet to the outlet via the outlet chamber. The flow of gases through the outlet causes an outlet pressure in the outlet chamber to act on the valve member together with the inlet pressure to displace the valve member from the valve seat.

MANUALLY-OPERATED NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY (NPWT) BANDAGE WITH IMPROVED PUMP EFFICIENCY, AUTOMATIC PRESSURE INDICATOR AND AUTOMATIC PRESSURE LIMITER

A new and improved NPWT bandage which is simple, inexpensive, easy-to-use, small in size (including having a low profile), is atraumatic to the wound during use, has improved pump efficiency, incorporates an automatic pressure indicator for indicating the level of negative pressure created, and provides an automatic pressure limiter for limiting the level of negative pressure created.

AIRWAY INHALANT NEBULIZER DEVICE
20210162161 · 2021-06-03 ·

A nebulizer device aerosolizes (or vaporizes) liquid drawn from a liquid reservoir via a fluid flow path into a nebulization chamber. An inlet port is coupled to an external air supply and leads through a check valve and Venturi nozzle (e.g. a duckbill valve) into the chamber to direct an air stream across an opening of the fluid flow path. A discharge port leads from the chamber to a user mask, mouthpiece or canula, where the aerosol or vapor mixture can be inhaled. A filtered outlet port isolates exhaled material from the external environment. Multiple discrete heating elements may be placed around the fluid flow path to preheat the liquid. If the liquid is sufficiently volatile, heating may vaporize the material which can condense back into an aerosol after mixing with the air stream. A set of check valves direct one-way fluid flow and prevent leakage or spillage of material from the device.

Negative-pressure therapy apparatus with push-to-release actuator
10973963 · 2021-04-13 · ·

Example embodiments may include an apparatus for providing negative-pressure therapy with a push-to-release actuator. The actuator may be a key insertable through a keyway in the apparatus to engage a movable barrier, such as a piston. The actuator may also be used to lock the barrier in a primed position. Pressing on the actuator can release the barrier and activate the apparatus for negative-pressure therapy. In some examples, the actuator may comprise a shaft, a latch, and a spring biasing the latch toward the shaft. The latch may comprise an opening toward a proximal end of the shaft. The apparatus may comprise a receptacle for receiving the actuator, and a keeper may disposed within the receptacle for coupling to the latch. In some embodiments, the keeper may comprise a base protruding from the wall, and a ledge extending from the base toward the second aperture.

Ink supply unit for a tattooing device
11850389 · 2023-12-26 · ·

A unit for supplying ink to the needles of a tattooing device includes a handling unit, in which the following can be found: a grip; a removable tip provided at one end with one or more tattooing needles; a coupling element configured to connect the grip and the tip to each other; a driver operatively associated with the grip to move the needles by imparting a reciprocating rectilinear motion to them; one or more tanks for containing the ink, operatively associated with the handling unit. The ink supply unit includes an air movement unit driven by the driver and mechanically connected to the handling unit. The air movement unit is configured to push the air moved by the driver toward the tank, the tank for containing the ink communicating with the air movement unit by a valve. Once conveyed into the tank by the valve, the air forces the ink to be dispensed from the tank onto the needles.
