Distributed HHO Precision Injection System
Injection of HHO gas to plural injection points about an internal combustion engine is controlled based on combustion timing parameters.
HHO Gas Distribution System
HHO gas is distributed proximate combustion chambers of a diesel engine and to a diesel particulate filter regeneration system.
Ultra Low HHO Injection
An ultra low quantity of HHO gas is introduced to an internal combustion engine to improve fuel economy and/or reduce engine-out emissions, for example in a vehicle or generator.
AMMONIA GENERATION FROM ENGINE EXHAUST AT AMBIENT CONDITIONS USING WATER-GAS SHIFT AND AMMONIA SYNTHESIS CATALYSTS
Systems and methods described herein relate to generating ammonia from engine exhaust instead of or in addition to using on-board storage tank(s) and/or doser(s) to provide the necessary chemical reagents for purification of the exhaust stream. Systems and methods for generating ammonia and/or hydrogen from engine exhaust in exhaust aftertreatment systems under ambient conditions comprise at least one water-gas shift (WGS) catalyst and at least one ammonia synthesis catalyst (AMS catalyst) positioned downstream of the WGS catalyst. The WGS catalyst is configured, using the engine exhaust gas as an input, to generate hydrogen used by the AMS catalyst as inputs to generate ammonia and/or hydrogen. The ammonia and/or hydrogen thus generated are used downstream in ammonia- and/or hydrogen-based selective catalytic reduction catalysts (SCR).
Explosion Safe Electrolysis Unit
A multi-chamber assembly safely stores enhancement gas for efficient and complete combustion of a carbonaceous fuel is presented. The multi-chamber assembly safely stores the enhancement gas, for example, for use by the internal combustion engine such as an internal combustion engine of a vehicle and/or a generator.
PURIFICATION SYSTEM
A purification system for purifying exhaust gas from an engine includes a separation part that separates oxygen and nitrogen contained in air, an ozone generation part that generates ozone from oxygen separated by the separation part, and a supply part that supplies ozone generated by the ozone generation part to an intake pipe and an exhaust pipe of the engine. The purification system includes a supply control device that adjusts an amount of ozone supplied to the intake pipe and an amount of ozone supplied to the exhaust pipe according to a purification rate of exhaust gas of the engine.
Ultra Low Enhancement Gas Injection
A system for efficient combustion of a carbonaceous fuel is presented. An ultra low quantity of enhancement gas may be introduced to an internal combustion engine to improve at least one operating metric of the internal combustion engine such as fuel economy and/or reduce engine-out emissions, for example in a vehicle or generator.
ENGINE SYSTEM
An engine system may include an engine, an intake line, a cylinder deactivation (CDA) device mounted at a portion of combustion chambers, a first exhaust manifold connected to combustion chambers mounted with the CDA device, a second exhaust manifold connected to combustion chambers without the CDA device, a first exhaust line flowing exhaust gas exhausted from the first exhaust manifold, a second exhaust line flowing exhaust gas exhausted from the second exhaust manifold, a main exhaust line to which the first exhaust line and the second exhaust line are joined, an exhaust gas processing device at which the main exhaust line is installed, a turbocharger mounted at the first exhaust line, an electric supercharger installed at the intake line to supply supercharged air to the combustion chamber and an electric compressor, and an air injection device supplying the fresh air to the second exhaust manifold or the second exhaust line.
Additive for cleaning SCR systems
The present disclosure relates to the use of a polar solvent as an additive to a solution containing a component that releases ammonia at above 200 C. for the removal of deposits or impurities in a selective catalytic reduction system, wherein the polar solvent has a boiling point at 101.3 kPa of at least 140 C. The present disclosure further relates to a method of removing deposits or impurities in a selective catalytic reduction system and a method of operating a selective catalytic reduction system.
