ELECTRONIC BREATH ACTUATED IN-LINE DROPLET DELIVERY DEVICE WITH SMALL VOLUME AMPOULE AND METHODS OF USE
A droplet delivery device with a small volume drug ampoule and related methods for delivering precise and repeatable dosages to a subject for pulmonary use is disclosed. The droplet delivery device is configured to facilitate the ejection of small, e.g., single use, volumes of a therapeutic agent. The droplet delivery device includes a housing, a mouthpiece, a small volume drug ampoule, an ejector mechanism, and at least one differential pressure sensor. The delivery device is automatically breath actuated by the user when the differential pressure sensor senses a predetermined pressure change within housing. The droplet delivery device is then actuated to generate a plume of droplets having an average ejected particle diameter within the respirable size range, e.g, less than about 5-6 ?m, so as to target the pulmonary system of the user. The small volume drug ampoule may include a reservoir which comprises an internal flexible membrane separating two internal volumes, a first background pressure fluid volume and a second drug volume.
NASAL ASPIRATOR
An aspiration device is described, including a bulb aspirator including a bulb body, a first collar and tip, the bulb body includes an upper portion configured for receiving one end of the first collar and lower portion configured for receiving in a first configuration a stop and in a second different configuration a second collar associated with a suction tube, the tip is configured for insertion into a passageway; the stop being configured for detachable connection to the lower portion of the bulb body when in the first configuration; and the suction tube including the second collar, a tube portion and an adaptor, the second collar is disposed at a first end of the suction tube and being adapted to be coupled to the lower portion of the bulb body, the adaptor is configured to adapt to a human mouth to enable suction to be applied at the adaptor.
Hiccup relieving apparatus
The hiccup relieving apparatus includes a body with a first end having a mouthpiece, a second end having a restriction in the body between the first end and the second end. The restriction makes it difficult to draw fluid through the body to the user's mouth. The fluid can be air or the body can be immersed in water or other potable liquid in a container. The restriction requires an adult user, using the mouthpiece, to produce a threshold suction of for example water before water can flow from the water in the water container, through the body, through the mouthpiece, and to the user.
Powder Delivery Devices
A nasal delivery device for delivering substance to a nasal cavity of a subject, the delivery device comprising: a substance supply unit for supplying a dose of substance to be delivered to the nasal cavity of the subject, the substance supply unit including an inlet and an outlet; a nosepiece unit including a nosepiece for fitting to a nasal cavity of the subject and being in fluid communication with the outlet of the substance supply unit; and a mouthpiece unit including a mouthpiece in fluid communication with the inlet of the substance supply unit and through which the subject in use exhales such as to entrain substance from the container chamber and deliver the same through the nosepiece, and at least one temperature modifier for reducing a temperature of the exhaled air flow such as to reduce the absolute humidity thereof.
Nasal douche with valve that can be actuated by respiratory air
A nasal douche having a valve, container part and cap part, wherein the container part serves to receive irrigation liquid and carries cap part. The cap part has a nose attachment with an outlet opening for irrigation liquid connected fluidically to interior of container part via discharge channel, wherein nose attachment is intended to be attached to a nostril of the user. The container part or cap part is assigned a mouthpiece for controlling the valve, wherein the valve is closed in a rest position and flow of irrigation liquid out through the nose attachment is thus suppressed, and wherein the valve can be brought to an open position, under the action of respiratory air when the user blows into the mouthpiece, and irrigation liquid thus flows out through the nose attachment, wherein respiratory air or ambient air flows into the container part to allow the outward flow.
Dry powder drug delivery system and methods
A pulmonary drug delivery system is disclosed, including a breath-powered, dry powder inhaler, with or without a cartridge for delivering a dry powder formulation. The inhaler and cartridge can be provided with a drug delivery formulation comprising, for example, a diketopiperazine and an active ingredient, including, small organic molecules, peptides and proteins, including, hormones such as insulin and glucagon-like peptide 1 for the treatment of disease and disorders, for example, diseases and disorders, including endocrine disease such as diabetes and/or obesity.
EMERGENCY CPR SANITATION SEPARATION DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
A rescue device for a heart attack victim and a method of rescuing a heart attack victim is provided. The device includes a first tube that is configured to be inserted into the victim's mouth so as to assist in performing CPR and restoring normal breathing by creating a high-pressure environment within the victim's mouth and thus inflating the victim's lungs. The device further includes a second tube that is configured to allow a rescuer to create the high-pressure environment in the victim's mouth by blowing into a second tube of the device. A filter is positioned between the first and second tubes to reduce sanitary concerns and to prevent foreign objects from traveling between mouths of the victim and the rescuer.
DUAL VAPORIZER
A dual vaporizer is provided. The vaporizer has: a vaporizing assembly including a first chamber with a plant matter compartment for holding dry plant matter and a first heating element; a vapor cooling chamber in fluid communication with the compartment; a second chamber comprising a second heating element, the second chamber in fluid communication with the vapor cooling chamber; an e-juice chamber; a wick in fluid communication with the second chamber and the e-juice chamber, the wick coupled to the second heating element; a mouthpiece in fluid communication with the second chamber; and a power source for providing electrical power to the first heating element and the second heating element, whereby suction at the mouthpiece draws air and any vapor from the vapor cooling chamber through the second chamber.
