Aftertreatment module
An aftertreatment module is disclosed. The aftertreatment module may include a housing. The aftertreatment module may include a mounting plate within the housing that forms an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber. The aftertreatment module may include an inlet for exhaust gas from a combustion engine to flow into to the inlet chamber. The aftertreatment module may include an outlet through a top plate of the housing. The inlet and the outlet may be located on opposite sides of the housing and at opposite ends of the housing from each other. The aftertreatment module may include a set of catalysts mounted to the mounting plate. The aftertreatment module may include a diffuser plate within the inlet chamber that forms a lower portion of the inlet chamber and an upper portion of the inlet chamber. The diffuser plate may diffuse the exhaust gas through the lower portion.
SINGLE MODULE INTEGRATED AFTERTREATMENT MODULE
A selective catalytic reduction system may include a single housing defining a single centerline axis. The selective catalytic reduction system may also include a diesel particulate filter disposed within the single housing and having a DPF center axis aligned with the single centerline axis. The selective catalytic reduction system may also include an SCR catalyst disposed within the single housing and having a center axis aligned with the single centerline axis. In some implementations, the diesel particulate filter may include one or more SiC filters. In some implementations, the SCR catalyst may include one or more extruded SCR catalysts.
Adjustable Mounting for Exhaust Treatment Component
An exhaust treatment component may be mounted in brackets, each bracket having a clamping surface which in a use orientation is arranged in parallel with a corresponding mounting surface of a fixed mount, the mounting surfaces defining adjustment planes which are spaced apart along a length axis of the mount. Each bracket may be adjusted independently in its use orientation to define a variable clamping position in the adjustment plane. In another aspect, the component may be mounted in one or more brackets, each bracket comprising curved contact surface, each surface being defined by an arc of a respective circle, each arc being contained in the circle of the other respective arc, whereby the centre points of the respective circles are spaced apart in the reference plane so that each arc is contained in the circle of the other respective arc. The component can be clamped to the bracket irrespective of its diameter.
Exhaust tail pipe/emissions filter
An exhaust tailpipe/emissions filter employs a reusable/replaceable insert and is configured to slide into and/or onto the exhaust tailpipe of an automobile to reduce air pollution.
Catalytic reactor and ship provided with same
A catalytic reactor including: a first opening located in a side surface of a catalytic reactor; a plurality of catalytic cassettes charged into the catalytic reactor through the first opening toward a side surface opposed to the first opening so that the plurality of catalytic cassettes is arranged adjacent to each other; and a fixing member configured to be urged by a first lid member closing the first opening and to press upper surfaces of the plurality of catalytic cassettes. The fixing member is disposed to extend along a direction from the first opening to the side surface opposed to the first opening.
Selective catalytic reduction process and off-line regeneration of deactivated catalyst of the process
Presented is a process for the off-line regeneration of a deactivated nitrogen oxide decomposition catalyst of a selective catalytic reduction system that is a component of a flue gas treating system. The selective catalytic reduction system is isolated to allow for removal and replacement of deactivated SCR catalyst. The removed SCR catalyst may be regenerated off-line from the flue gas treating system. The off-line regenerated SCR catalyst can be used as a replacement SCR catalyst.
Autonomous auxiliary DEF supply system with purge control
An auxiliary system with purge control automatically supplies diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) to an onboard DEF tank of a diesel engine to enable prolonged unattended operation. The system includes an auxiliary DEF tank, an auxiliary DEF supply line, a controller, a pump, an air inlet, and a three-way valve configured to switch the pump inlet between the auxiliary DEF tank and air. In response to low-level DEF, the pump delivers DEF through the supply line to replenish the onboard DEF tank. The controller may automatically calculate onboard DEF tank volume based on the delivered volume of DEF, and DEF level data received from an ECM, to enable replenishment control regardless of engine make and model. In response to high-level DEF, engine stoppage, or other system fault, the controller switches the valve to air and runs the pump for a predetermined time to purge DEF from the supply line. The auxiliary system may be skid-mounted, portable, and configured to supply DEF to multiple diesel engines.
CATALYSED FILTER SYSTEM FOR TREATING PARTICULATE-CONTAINING EXHAUST GAS FROM STATIONARY EMISSION SOURCES
A catalysed filter system for treating particulate-containing exhaust gas from a stationary emission source comprises an elongate filter element comprising porous walls which define a hollow section and a substrate material supporting a catalyst component disposed within the hollow section, the arrangement being such that gas entering the hollow section of the elongate filter element from across the porous walls thereof must contact the substrate material supporting the catalyst component before exiting the hollow section of the elongate filter element.
