Mounting interface for exhaust gas treatment assembly
10422268 · 2019-09-24 · ·

An exhaust gas treatment assembly comprises a housing which is radially inwardly deformed in a clamping region to retain a block of ceramic or other material which may be arranged as a filter or catalyst within the housing. The clamping region is deformed to a first surface level and includes local protuberances which extend radially outwardly to a second surface level and support a mounting surface for mounting the assembly in a mounting connector. The first surface level may vary to accommodate the dimensions of each individual block while the second surface level is fixed so that the mounting surface can fit in a mounting assembly with standardized dimensions.

COMPOSITIONS AND USES THEREOF

Provided are solid dispersions, solid molecular complexes, salts and crystalline polymorphs involving propane-1-sulfonic acid {3-[5-(4-chloro-phenyl)-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine-3-carbonyl]-2,4-difluoro-phenyl}-amide.

SHEET METAL TUBE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME

A method includes providing first and second half-pipe sections. Each of the first and second half-pipe sections includes a first curved portion and defines a first outer edge length. Third and fourth half-pipe sections are provided. Each of the third and fourth half-pipe sections includes a second curved portion and defines a second outer edge length. The second outer edge length is longer than the first outer edge length. The first half-pipe section is welded to the third half-pipe section so as to form a first half-pipe subassembly. The second half-pipe section is welded to the fourth half-pipe section so as to form a second half-pipe subassembly. The first half-pipe subassembly is welded to the second half-pipe subassembly so as to form an exhaust tube section.

High efficiency mixer for vehicle exhaust system

A vehicle exhaust component assembly includes an inlet module configured to receive engine exhaust gas, a mixer housing defining an internal cavity that receives engine exhaust gas from the inlet module, and an injection component defining an injection axis and positioned within the internal cavity. The injection component has a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet to direct injected fluid into the internal cavity to mix with the engine exhaust gas. The injection component comprises at least a first curved sheet and a second curved sheet that cooperate with each other to surround the injection axis, wherein the second curved sheet is offset from the first curved sheet by a radial gap to create a swirling gas flow within the injection component to mix with fluid injected via the fluid inlet. An outlet module directs a mixture of engine exhaust gas and fluid to a downstream exhaust component.

SILENCER INSERT, SILENCER COMPRISING THE SAME AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A SILENCER INSERT

A silencer insert (10) for a silencer of an exhaust system includes a first and a second partition wall (11, 12) and a connecting wall (13) arranged therebetween. The first partition wall (11) defines a first plane (E1), the second partition wall (12) defines a second plane (E2), and the connecting wall (13) defines a third plane (E3). At least one of the first partition wall, the second partition wall, and the connecting wall includes at least one perforated area (15). The connecting wall (13) is formed in one piece with the first partition wall (11) and the second partition wall (12). The first plane encloses with the second plane an angle of not more than 60, the first plane and the second plane being particularly in parallel. A silencer is provided including a housing (1) receiving the silencer insert (10). A method is provided for manufacturing the silencer insert.

Exhaust system for a motor vehicle and corresponding motor vehicle

An exhaust system for a motor vehicle, with an exhaust pipe for discharging exhaust of a device that produces an exhaust. A heat accumulator, which surrounds the exhaust pipe in the peripheral direction with respect to a longitudinal central axis of the exhaust pipe, is present, at least in regions thereof, and, in the radial direction between the exhaust pipe and the heat accumulator over at least a portion of the longitudinal extension the heat accumulator, a cross-section adjusting element for adjusting a passage cross section is arranged between the exhaust pipe and the heat accumulator. The cross-section adjusting element has a first holed pipe, which surrounds the exhaust pipe, and a second holed pipe, which surrounds the first holed pipe. The first holed pipe and the second holed pipe can be shifted in position relative to each other for adjusting the passage cross section.

Component of an exhaust system

A component of an exhaust system for a combustion engine has a wall in which at least one opening is provided, and a perforated cover which is associated with the opening. A support is provided by which the perforated cover is mounted to the wall of the component. Further, a clearance is provided between the support and the cover such that the cover can shift parallel to the wall of the component.
