SILENCER FOR FUEL CELL VEHICLES
Disclosed is a silencer for fuel cell vehicles. The silencer for fuel cell vehicles includes a housing having an inlet configured to receive air and hydrogen flowing into the housing therethrough, an outlet, and a condensation water drain hole configured to discharge condensation water to the outside therethrough, a distribution plate disposed in the housing and having distribution holes to distribute air and hydrogen flowing into the housing, a rotary plate disposed in the housing closer to the outlet than the distribution plate, a motor connected to the rotary plate to rotate the rotary plate, and an anti-freezing unit extending from one end of the rotary plate to the condensation water drain hole.
Compact Selective Catalytic Reduction System
A selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system for treating exhaust gas from a diesel engine is provided, along with a method of assembling such a system. The system comprises a frame, a SCR catalyst contained within a SCR canister, and an ammonia oxidation catalyst contained within an ammonia oxidation canister. Each of the SCR and ammonia oxidation canisters is removably attached to the frame.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FILTERING
Apparatus and methods for selectively transmitting objects of interest from a first reservoir to a second reservoir are disclosed. The apparatus includes electromagnetic focusing apparatus configured to interact with objects of interest to induce a change in a property of the objects of interest so as to increase the probability that the objects of interest through a throat diffusively coupling the first reservoir and the second reservoir.
System and method for assembling an exhaust aftertreatment assembly
A system for assembling an exhaust after-treatment assembly having a plurality of exhaust after-treatment blocks is described. Each of the plurality of exhaust after-treatment blocks is disposed adjacent to at least one other exhaust after-treatment block. Each exhaust after-treatment block has one or more catalyst substrates. Each catalyst substrate includes a first face, a second face, and a plurality of side faces. The system includes at least one flange member to surround the one or more catalyst substrates about the side faces. The system further includes a locking arrangement including one or more clips on the flange member and a bracket member configured to engage with the one or more clips in the flange members of the adjacent exhaust after-treatment blocks.
Muffler and/or exhaust apparatus and method of manufacture
Mufflers with unique configurations which, in certain (but not all) embodiments, improve engine performance. In other embodiments, improved manufacturing processes and methods for making mufflers. In particularly preferred embodiments, methods for making motorcycle mufflers with swaging techniques. In still other preferred embodiments, swaged motorcycle mufflers with improved exhaust flow. In still other embodiments, aftermarket mufflers which can be assembled to a variety of engine exhaust systems utilizing a universal coupler.
MUFFLER FOR SINGLE-CYLINDER DIESEL ENGINE
A muffler for single-cylinder diesel engines with an integrated oxidation catalyst is provided, such that the muffler is connected to the cylinder head of the engine, that the muffler housing is divided into two chambers, that is, an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber, by means of an intermediate wall and that the oxidation catalyst is secured in the intermediate wall such that it fludically connects together both chambers.
Exhaust handling systems for marine vessels and related methods
An embodiment of an exhaust handling system for a marine vessel includes a cap connected to a top end portion of an exhaust stack of the marine vessel to form an enclosure at least partially surrounding an outlet of an exhaust pipe extending through the exhaust stack. In addition, the exhaust handling system includes a collection pipe in fluid communication with the cap such that the collection pipe is to receive exhaust from the enclosure, and a coupling connected to the collection pipe that is to connect to an exhaust cleaning assembly. The exhaust cleaning system includes a tank to receive the exhaust. The cap at least partially defines a first flow path for the exhaust that extends from the enclosure to the atmosphere. The collection pipe at least partially defines a second flow path for the exhaust that extends from the enclosure to the coupling via the collection pipe.

MUFFLER
A muffler includes an inner pipe and an outer pipe which, along with the inner pipe, forms a double-wall pipe. A cavity is provided between the inner and outer pipes. A first end of the double-wall pipe is closed between the inner and outer pipes, and a second end of the double-wall pipe has an opening between the inner and outer pipes. The cavity communicates with an exhaust channel via the opening. The cavity is formed as a result of the inner pipe being shaped in a manner such that a portion of an outer-circumferential surface of the inner pipe is positioned on an inner-circumferential side relative to a reference, the reference being a position of an outer-circumferential surface of the outer pipe.
