ELECTRIC IMMERSION HEATER FOR DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID RESERVOIR
An immersion heater including an encapsulated, semi-conductive, heating element. The heating element may be a non-metallic, carbon-based material in the form of a monofilament, a yarn or bundle of semi-conductive fibers which may be twisted, braided fibers or yarns, or the like. The encapsulation may be in the form of a tube of one or more layers of encapsulation material(s) with the heating element inserted therein. Alternately, the heating element may be thermoplastic with semi-conductive carbon additive, and the heating element may be coated with one or more external layers of insulating encapsulation material(s). The encapsulation material may be a rubber or thermoplastic material with sufficient chemical resistance to be immersed in a reservoir of fluid subject to freezing or thickening at low temperatures, such as DEF. The heater may be thermoformed into a predetermined fixed shape.
Tempered SCR-line and tempered SCR-line bundles
The invention relates to an SCR line for treatment of exhaust from an internal combustion engine and including a first hose to carry a reducing agent, a second hose to carry a tempering agent and a pipe enclosing the two hoses. The two hoses are arranged in the pipe so as to run side by side in parallel. Each of the same-side ends of the first hose and of the pipe are connected to a reducing agent coupling housing. The ends of the second hose are each connected to a tempering agent coupling part separate from the reducing agent coupling housing. At least one of the reducing agent coupling housings has a through-opening at the outer perimeter. The second hose runs from the interior of the pipe through the through-opening to the outside. Furthermore, the invention relates to an SCR line bundle with an SCR line.
HEATABLE CONTAINER FOR LIQUID
A heatable liquid container made of plastic material include a container wall that defines an interior of the container. The container wall at least partially consists of the plastic material which contains inductively heatable additives. An electrically actuatable magnetization unit is associated with the liquid container and operable to generate a magnetic alternating field such that the inductively heatable additives are inductively excited by the magnetization unit so as to directly heat a liquid held in the interior of the container via the container wall.
Suction Tube for a Urea Sensor
A suction tube for a urea sensor installed in a urea tank comprises a suction pipe and a cover. The suction pipe has a suction opening and a hole extending through a wall of the suction pipe. The cover is disposed on an outside of the suction pipe and covers the hole. When there is an under-pressure in the suction pipe compared to the urea tank, the cover abuts the suction pipe and seals the hole. When there is an overpressure in the suction pipe compared to the urea tank, the cover deforms and allows an excess urea solution to escape through the hole and flow back into the urea tank.
APPARATUS FOR DOSING A UREA SOLUTION TO A SELECTIVE CATALYTIC REDUCTION (SCR) CATALYST
Apparatus for dosing a urea solution to a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst in the exhaust of an internal combustion engine, the apparatus comprising an injector for injection of the solution in the exhaust and a tube (1) for transporting the solution to the injector, wherein a heating element (2) is in contact with the tube, which heating element is a Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) heating element, comprising at least two parallel wires (4.1, 4.2) embedded in a body (3) of a composition, which composition comprises a polymer and an electrically conductive filler.
Exhaust Tip
A decorative automotive exhaust comprising cut outs on an exterior portion to expose a decorative plate. The depth of the decorative plate relative to the cut outs creates a 3D perspective.
Continuous Fiber Molded Part
Continuous fiber molded part for silencers or mufflers comprising a continuous fiber and a coat of inorganic binder, wherein the coat encloses the continuous fiber.
EXHAUST SILENCER
An exhaust silencer for a motor vehicle is provided. In one example, the silencer comprises a noise-reducing structure and a heat sink to transfer heat from exhaust gases to the exterior of the silencer, the heat sink comprising two regions of fins which define a plurality of flow channels through the heat sink, the flow channels directing the flow of exhaust through the silencer from an inlet passage to an outlet passage. In this way, a temperature of the exhaust is reduced, and the silencer and downstream components of an exhaust system may be constructed of materials of a lower thermal tolerance.
EXHAUST HEAT RECOVERY DEVICE STRUCTURE
An exhaust heat recovery device structure that includes: an exhaust heat recovery device main body that is disposed at an inner side of a floor tunnel formed at a vehicle transverse direction central portion of a floor panel, the exhaust heat recovery device main body carrying out heat exchange between cooling water and gas that is generated at an internal combustion engine of a vehicle; and a metal pipe that extends-out from the exhaust heat recovery device main body, the metal pipe being connected to one end of a resin hose whose another end is connected to the internal combustion engine, the connected portion that connects the metal pipe with the resin hose being provided to the metal pipe further toward a vehicle lower side than the exhaust heat recovery device main body, is provided.
Synthetic Resin Tank
A synthetic resin tank can prevent being damaged when it expands or contracts by the change of ambient temperature, though it can be easily fixed on the vehicle with fastener such as bolts, without the belts for securing the vehicle. The synthetic resin tank includes a body which defines a storage space for fluid and fixing means which is attached to the body. At least one recess is formed on the surface of the body. The fixing means includes at least one elastically deformable plate portion which covers the recess partially and which has a through hole.
