PUMPING CASSETTE
A pump cassette is disclosed. The pump cassette includes a housing having at least one fluid inlet line and at least one fluid outlet line. The cassette also includes at least one reciprocating pressure displacement membrane pump within the housing. The pressure pump pumps a fluid from the fluid inlet line to the fluid outlet line. A hollow spike is also included on the housing as well as at least one metering pump. The metering pump is fluidly connected to the hollow spike on the housing and to a metering pump fluid line. The metering pump fluid line is fluidly connected to the fluid outlet line.
Push connector for vape cartridges
The present invention provides a connector for push-connecting a cartridge containing vaporizable material, such as a 510-cartridge, to a power-supplying device. The connector includes a housing containing electrical contacts, a cartridge-receiving end for receiving a conductive end of the cartridge, and a flexible, preferably silicone, ring connected to the cartridge receiving end of the housing for retaining the conductive end of the cartridge inserted therethrough against the electrical contacts. The ring is preferably part of a silicon boot that houses the housing.
Autoimmune mechanical immunomodulation
The present disclosure describes a novel therapeutic apheresis system and, more specifically, methods and an apparatus for performing therapeutic apheresis. The present disclosure provides highly efficient methods for therapeutic apheresis that modulate the immune system, thereby resulting in treatment of one or more underlying immunological disease processes. In some embodiments, the disclosed methods return at least a portion of blood from an extracorporeal circuit to a patient in pulsatile flow, where the portion of blood that is returned is augmented. In other embodiments, the disclosed methods and apparatus use the central arterial system to exchange volumes of plasma to immunomodulate disease processes.
DIALYSIS SYSTEM AND APPARATUS WITH INLINE INDUCTIVE FLUID HEATING
An inductive inline dialysis fluid heater is disclosed. In an example, a dialysis fluid heater includes a cylindrical tube including an inner diameter that is between 4.00 millimeters (“mm”) and 12.7 mm. The dialysis fluid heater also includes a susceptor located within the cylindrical tube and an inductive coil extending around the cylindrical tube in a non-contacting arrangement. The dialysis fluid heater further includes power electronics in electrical communication with the inductive coil and configured to supply an electrical current to the inductive coil, causing the susceptor to heat.
POWER SUPPLY UNIT OF AEROSOL GENERATING DEVICE AND AEROSOL GENERATING DEVICE
A power supply unit of an aerosol generating device includes: an accommodating portion with a bottom and cylindrical shape, which is configured to accommodate a columnar cartridge that stores an aerosol source in a state in which the cartridge is rotatable 360 degrees in a circumferential direction of the cartridge. A rotation suppressing portion configured to generate a frictional force between the cartridge and the rotation preventing portion so as to suppress rotation of the cartridge in the circumferential direction is provided on a bottom portion of the accommodating portion.
CPAP DEVICE
An insertion-ejection opening opens in a housing case body of a housing case. A tank is inserted into and ejected from a housing space of the housing case body through the insertion-ejection opening of the housing case body. A portion of an upper-side internal surface of the housing case body forms a case slant surface slanted relative to a surface that is perpendicular to a height direction. In addition, the case slant surface faces toward a side of the insertion-ejection opening. A second discharge opening opens in the case slant surface. A portion of an external surface of the tank forms a tank slant surface slanted relative to the surface that is perpendicular to the height direction. A discharge tank aperture opens in the tank slant surface. In a state in which the tank is housed in the housing case body, the tank slant surface faces the case slant surface.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
An information processing device includes a control unit that generates a display image in which a profile and puff detection timing-related information are associated and displayed, the profile being information that relates to an operation performed by an inhalation device that uses a substrate to generate an aerosol, the operation generating the aerosol, and the puff detection timing being the timing at which user inhalation of the aerosol generated by the inhalation device was detected.
INLINE HEATER FOR A PERITONEAL DIALYSIS SYSTEM
Systems and devices are provided for heating an infusible liquid. The inline heater includes a fluid flow channel defined by a conduit for flowing an infusible liquid through a first portion of the conduit having a first cross-sectional dimension to a second portion of the conduit having a smaller second cross-sectional dimension. A nozzle is disposed in the first portion of the conduit. A heating element in thermal communication with an outer surface of the second portion of the conduit conducts heat through the conduit into the infusible liquid. The nozzle is positioned to spray the infusible liquid about a circumference of an inner wall of the second portion of the conduit to provide increased heat transfer from the heating element to the infusible liquid. The inline heater may be formed as a cassette for use in a dialysis machine.
AIR PREHEATER FOR HUMIDIFICATION TUB
An apparatus for providing a humidified flow of pressurized breathable gas includes a humidification chamber having a heatable base surface and a humidification tub configured to contain a supply of water. The humidification tub includes a thermally conductive base and is removably positionable at least partially within the humidification chamber and onto the heatable base surface in order to allow for heating of the water in the humidification tub. The humidification chamber is configured to receive the flow of pressurized breathable gas and output the flow of pressurized breathable gas with increased humidity. The flow of pressurized breathable gas is pre-heated before entering the humidification tub by being configured to, after entering the humidification chamber and before entering the humidification tub, flow along at least a portion of the perimeter of the humidification tub.
Adaptive systems and methods for delivery of a medicament
Methods and apparatuses for the therapeutic delivery of nicotine for smoking cessation, harm reduction and/or substitution. Furthermore, the devices and methods herein are useful as an alternative, general nicotine delivery system in place of tobacco combustion or high temperature (over 150 degrees C.) products. In addition, the methods and devices herein are useful for the therapeutic delivery of a drug, for reducing the cumulative drug dose and hence its potential toxic side effects, while increasing its neurophysiological and/or physiological effects. Moreover, the devices and methods herein are useful for addiction treatment or reduction. In certain embodiments, the methods are adaptable to a medicament delivery device that determines a sequence of drug doses to be delivered. Dose information may be used to control operation of the device.
