LIVE CYANOBACTERIA AS A BINDING AGENT IN HUMAN AND ANIMAL FOODS
A method and system for using live cyanobacteria as a binding agent in human and animal foods. A method includes growing live cyanobacteria in closed bio-reactors, harvesting the grown living cyanobacteria in a filtration system to create a pudding-like consistency, mixing the harvested living cyanobacteria with dry and wet ingredients to create a batter, forming the batter into a desired shape, and dehydrating the shaped batter using low heat.
INCLUSION OF SEAWEED IN RUMINANT FEEDSTOCK FOR REDUCING METHANE PRODUCTION AND INCREASING CONSUMER PRODUCT QUALITY
A feed additive is provided for adding to a ruminant feedstock, the feed additive comprising a dried, powdered mixture of at least two macroalgae selected from the group consisting of ocean farm-grown Egregia menziesii, Neoagarum fimbriatum, Saccharina latissimi, Alaria marginate, Macrocystis pyrifera, Hedophyllum sessile, Callophyllis species, Opuntiella californica, Sarcodiotheca gaudichaudii, and Mazzaella splendins. A method of manufacturing the feed additive is also provided as is use of the feed additive.
ANIMAL FOOD AND METHOD FOR PREPARING SAME
A method to prepare an animal food by dehydrating animal meat, such as poultry, fish, beef, and lamb, and separately dehydrating a mixture of fruits and vegetables, each dehydration step using low heat and a high velocity air flow. Subsequently mix the dehydrated meat and the mixture of fruits and vegetables together to produce an animal food that complies or exceeds pet food standards established by the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) and produce a complete and balanced animal food for pets at any life stage.

MEAT DEWATERING ASSEMBLY
A meat dewatering assembly (10) includes a support frame (12), a twin screw dewatering unit (14), a drive assembly (16) coupled with the unit (14), and a perforated housing (60). The unit (14) has a pair of tapered, non-parallel, intermeshed, helically flighted screws (52, 54) presenting nip clearances (59) between the fighting (55). The drive assembly (16) serves to counter-rotate the screws (52, 54). In use, emulsified meat is passed into the housing (60) during counter-rotation of the screws (52, 54), in order to compress the meat within the clearances (59) and thereby express water from the meat. Adjustment collars (38) permit selective size alteration of the nip clearances (59).

FEEDSTUFFS FOR RUMINANTS
The present invention aims to provide a technique for preparing feedstuffs for ruminants with high nutritional value or feed efficiency.
A process for preparing a feedstuff for ruminants of the present invention comprises: suspending a lignocellulosic material as a raw material in a liquid to give a pulp; processing the resulting pulp in a pressure type solid-liquid separator; and preparing a feedstuff containing the pulp subjected to solid-liquid separation.

ADDITION OF EDIBLE FAT (LIPIDS) TO HAY FOR ENHANCING THE NUTRITIONAL VALUE AND DIGESTIBILITY AND REDUCING THE TOXICITY RISK
A method for improving the nutritional value of hay used for livestock feed is disclosed. The methods includes the application of one or more lipids to the hay prior to feeding to animals. Additional components may also be added such as vitamins, minerals, nitrogen, amino acids and the like.
Apparatus for producing fermented soybean meal
An exemplary embodiment of the present invention provides an apparatus for producing fermented soybean meal, which produces fermented soybean meal for monogastric animals and ruminant selectively or together. An apparatus for producing fermented soybean meal according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a solid-liquid separating part, which mixes raw material soybean meal and an extraction solvent and extracts the soybean meal, and separately produces a remaining soybean meal and a soybean meal extract; a lactic acid bacteria culturing part, which produces the lactic acid bacteria by putting inoculum into the soybean meal extract, and supplies the lactic acid bacteria to the solid-liquid separating part; a solid substrate fermenting part, which is selectively supplied with and mixes at least two of the remaining soybean meal supplied from the solid-liquid separating part, the raw material soybean meal supplied through bypass, and lactic acid bacteria supplied from the lactic acid bacteria culturing part to produce a mixed material, and solid-substrate ferments the mixed material to produce primary solid substrate fermented soybean meal; and a drier, which dries the primary solid substrate fermented soybean meal supplied from the solid substrate fermenting part to produce secondary solid substrate fermented soybean meal.
