Cooling control system

A system including a cooling fan, an actuator with an actuator temperature sensor, and a controller is disclosed. The controller may be configured to receive temperature data from the actuator temperature sensor. The temperature data may include information relating to an actuator temperature of the actuator. The controller may be configured to compare the actuator temperature with a temperature threshold associated with the actuator, and control the cooling fan to adjust the actuator temperature based on determining that the actuator temperature satisfies the temperature threshold.

The spacer may include an aperture configured to receive a fastener that secures a screen assembly of the cooling assembly to a frame of the cooling assembly. The fastener may simultaneously secure the diverter assembly to the frame of the cooling assembly.

An engine cooling system comprising an exhaust enclosure formed in an engine compartment of a work machine. An exhaust processing system is situated within the exhaust enclosure. The exhaust enclosure is bounded in part by spaced upper and lower panels that are exposed to the ambient environment. At least one opening is formed in each panel. When an engine and fan also contained within the engine compartment are shut down, ambient air flows into the exhaust enclosure through the opening in the lower panel. The air flows around the exhaust processing system and back into the ambient environment through the opening formed in the upper panel.

An engine module for a mixer vehicle includes an engine, a cooling system, and a hood. The cooling system includes a radiator fluidly coupled to the engine and a fan assembly. The fan assembly includes a fan. The hood includes a housing and a door. The housing has a first end configured to be positioned proximate a mixer drum assembly and a second end configured to be positioned proximate a rear end of a chassis of the mixer vehicle. The housing defines an internal cavity within which the engine and the cooling system is disposed. The first end defines an inlet airflow cavity having a bottom surface and an air inlet. The second end defines an opening. The door is pivotally coupled to the second end and positioned to selectively enclose the opening.

A control unit controls operations of the fan and the shutter, an index acquisition unit acquires a heat radiation index showing a magnitude of a radiation amount required in the heat exchanger unit, and a fixing determination unit determines whether the shutter is closed and fixed. The control unit performs a control in which the fan is driven while the shutter is closed, when the heat radiation index is equal to or lower than a predetermined threshold.

The plurality of ducts may redirect cooling fluid from a cooling fan package to the engine compartment to remove debris from within the engine compartment.
