CONTROL SYSTEM OF FLOWING AIR INTO VEHICLE ENGINE ROOM AND METHOD FOR THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to a system for controlling an air flow rate into a vehicle engine room. The system includes: an air intake port receiving an exterior air at a front portion of the vehicle and supplying the air into the engine room; air ducts formed at both sides of the air intake port and introduce the exterior air into a wheel side in order to improve aerodynamic characteristic; a control valve configured to selectively convey the air flowed in the air intake port into the air ducts; a radiator disposed between the air intake port and the engine room; and a control portion configured to control the control valve based on an operating state of vehicle. The air ducts are selectively communicated with the air intake port and disposed at upstream of the radiator.
219-0200 Advanced thermostat system for an internal combustion engine with boost pressure depending control function
Methods and systems are provided for a valve for controlling the flow of a fluid medium in a coolant circuit of an internal combustion engine. The valve is configured to react to the temperature of the coolant via an expansion element and to the charge pressure in the intake tract via a pressure-sensitive actuator.
THERMAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR TRANSFERRING HEAT BETWEEN FLUIDS
A thermal management system for transferring heat between fluids includes a thermal transport bus through which a heat exchange fluid flows. Additionally, the system includes a heat source heat exchanger arranged along the bus such that heat is added to the fluid flowing through the heat source heat exchanger. Moreover, the system includes a plurality of heat sink heat exchangers arranged along the bus such that heat is removed from the fluid flowing through the plurality of heat sink heat exchangers. Furthermore, the system includes a bypass conduit fluidly coupled to the bus such that the bypass conduit allows the fluid to bypass one of the heat source heat exchanger or one of the heat sink heat exchangers. In addition, the system includes a valve configured to control a flow of the fluid through the bypass conduit based on a pressure of the fluid within the bus.
SMART TWO-PUMP APPARATUS, CONTROL AND METHOD
An apparatus includes two pumps and a circuit-changing valve connected to two cooling circuits, with the valve being controlled by a pressure differential created by the pumps. This simplifies controls, reduces components of the pumping system, and also provides a backup pump for each system. The valve's spool is controlled so that when the first pump is started before the second pump (or it generates a higher fluid pressure), the valve causes the two pumps to be connected in a serial arrangement with fluid being pumped through the first circuit and then through the second circuit. But when the second pump is started before the first pump, the valve causes the two pumps to be connected in a parallel arrangement so that the first pump moves fluid only through the first circuit, and the second pump moves fluid only through the second circuit. The valve includes an anti-dithering device.
Methods and system for a coolant circuit valve
Methods and systems are provided for a coolant circuit. In one example, the coolant circuit comprises high and low-temperature radiators, where only one pump is configured to conduct coolant through the entire coolant circuit.
Agricultural system
An agricultural system including an agricultural baler and a control unit. The baler includes a driveline including at least one heat generating component; a rotatable flywheel; a rotary input shaft connectable by the driveline to the rotatable flywheel; and at least one pump for supplying cooling fluid at a cooling fluid pressure to the at least one heat generating component. The control unit is configured to: receive baler-data indicative of one or more operating conditions of the agricultural baler; receive cooling-pressure-data indicative of a flow of the cooling fluid supplied by the at least one pump; set a threshold-condition based on the baler-data; and provide a control-signal to the agricultural baler based on a comparison between the cooling-pressure-data and the threshold-condition.
PASSIVE PISTON COOLING NOZZLE CONTROL WITH LOW SPEED HOT RUNNING PROTECTION
Systems and devices are disclosed for controlling fluid flow to piston cooling nozzles with a fluid flow control device configured to open when an internal combustion engine requires piston cooling at high speed but remains open for a period of time after the engine speed drops below a threshold to prevent heat soak damage to the pistons.
System and method for thermal management
A system is provided that may include a pressure sensor coupled to a radiator. The pressure sensor may determine plural pressure readings of a radiator fluid in the radiator. The system may also include a vehicle controller of a vehicle system that includes one or more processors. The one or more processors may repeatedly determine the plural pressure readings of the radiator fluid, and determine a pressure variance of the plural pressure readings that is repeatedly determined. The one or more processors may further be configured to identify a pressure condition based on the pressure variance that is determined.
System and method for monitoring coolant system integrity in engines
The present disclosure relates to improved systems and methods for use in connection with maintaining the coolant system of a vehicle. Specifically, the present disclosure relates to improved systems and methods for monitoring the integrity of the coolant system in an engine, including capabilities for diagnosing leaks, degradation of coolant, open and/or loose radiator caps, and other sources of potential malfunctions. Early diagnosis and continuous monitoring of an engine coolant system results in earlier repairs and less vehicle downtime.
