A cooling system is for cooling a marine engine having an engine block and a cylinder head, and a supercharger configured to provide charge air for combustion in the marine engine. The cooling system has a charge air cooler configured to cool the charge air prior to combustion in the marine engine. The cooling system is configured to circulate cooling water from a body of water in which the marine engine is operating to the marine engine and then back to the body of water. The cooling system is further configured to convey the cooling water in parallel to the marine engine and the charge air cooler. A sprayer is configured to spray the cooling water into exhaust gas discharged from the marine engine. The cooling system is configured to convey the cooling water in series to the charge air cooler and then to the sprayer.

The present invention relates to a gas heat pump system. The gas heat pump system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: an air conditioning module comprising a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, an expansion apparatus, an indoor heat exchanger and a refrigerant line; and an engine module comprising an engine for combusting a mixture of fuel and air, thereby providing power for driving the compressor. The engine module comprises: a mixer for mixing and discharging the air and fuel; a supercharging means for receiving the mixture discharged from the mixer, compressing same, and then discharging same; an intercooler for receiving the mixture compressed in the supercharging means, cooling same by a heat exchange method, increasing the density thereof, and then discharging same; an adjustment means for receiving the mixture discharged from the intercooler, adjusting the quantity thereof, and then supplying same to the engine; and an exhaust gas heat exchanger for exchanging heat between a coolant and exhaust gas discharged from the engine, wherein the exhaust gas heat exchanger is directly connected to an exhaust manifold of the engine.

A cooling system of an internal combustion engine includes a plurality of components in the form of heat sources, coolant pumps, actuator devices, and temperature sensors that are fluidically connected to one another via coolant lines, wherein a plurality of cooling circuits, each including at least one of the various components, is formed. The control device stores information concerning the association of the individual components with the various cooling circuits and their specific arrangement relative to one another in the individual cooling circuits, information concerning which of the coolant pumps during operation brings about a coolant flow in the individual cooling circuits, information concerning which actuator device(s) may be used to set a volume flow of the coolant by the individual heat sources, and information concerning a setpoint temperature that is stored for each of the heat sources, The control device also is designed to automatically set a volume flow of coolant through the heat sources that is required for reaching the setpoint temperatures, by appropriate control of the particular coolant pump(s) and actuator device(s).

A compression ignition engine with a supercharger is provided, which includes one or more valves configured to switch a state between a first state where intake air is boosted by the supercharger and a second state where it is not boosted, a fluid temperature adjuster configured to adjust a temperature of engine coolant to be supplied to a radiator from an engine body, and a controller. When the engine operates in a high-load range, the controller controls the combustion mode to be in a compression ignition combustion mode, and causes the valve(s) to be in the first state, and in a low-load range, the controller causes the valve(s) to be in the second state. In the high-load range, the controller outputs a control signal to the fluid temperature adjuster so that a target temperature of the engine coolant is lowered than that in the low-load range.
