CONTROL VALVE
A control valve includes: a second inner circumferential portion capable of holding a first spring, in a first communication passage provided at a first discharge opening of a housing; and a recessed portion recessed in a radial direction, at a position that is a part of a region in a circumferential direction of the second circumferential portion and overlaps a second communication passage opening in a biasing direction of the first spring. Therefore, when inserting the first spring into the first communication passage, it is possible to hold the first spring with the inner circumferential surface of the second inner circumferential portion. Consequently, the first spring is appropriately mounted in the second circumferential portion, thereby preventing a mounting defect of the first spring.
CONTROL METHOD, CONTROLLER, AND CONTROL PROGRAM FOR CONTROLLING LUBRICATING SYSTEM, COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM CARRYING CONTROL PROGRAM, LUBRICATING SYSTEM, AND VEHICLE
A lubricating system of an engine equipped with an idle reduction system includes an oil cooler, a remotely operable valve configured to open and close a bypass passage that bypasses the oil cooler, and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to perform the steps of: controlling the valve so that a temperature of lubricating oil approaches a target temperature; and lowering the target temperature when an average torque of the engine is less than a predetermined threshold.
Flow control device for a cooling system
Methods and systems are provided for a flow controller for an engine cooling system is provided. The flow controller comprises a chamber for receiving coolant flowing through the engine cooling system; a first aperture for coolant to flow into or out of the chamber; a first valve for controlling the flow of coolant through the first aperture according to a pressure of the coolant to flow through the first aperture; a second outlet for coolant to flow into or out of the chamber; and a second valve for controlling the flow of coolant through the second outlet according to the pressure of the coolant to flow through the second aperture, wherein the first and second apertures are inlets, for coolant to flow into the chamber though the first and second apertures, or the first and second apertures are outlets, for coolant to flow out of the chamber though the first and second apertures.
HOT WATER PRESSURE WASHER
A hot water pressure washer employs an internal combustion engine with a drive shaft having an exhaust manifold fluidly connected to an exhaust water heat exchanger. The engine is driveably connected to a hydrodynamic heater, and a high-pressure pump for generating a stream of high-pressure fluid. The hot water pressure washer captures 80-90% of the thermal energy generated during combustion processes of the engine for heating water.
Engine cooling system
An engine cooling system is provided, which includes a water jacket through which coolant flows, a heat exchanger that cools the coolant, a first bypass passage that bypasses the heat exchanger and recirculates the coolant to the water jacket, a radiator passage that recirculates the coolant to the water jacket via the heat exchanger, and a flow control device that is installed at a location where a coolant passage branches into the first bypass passage and the radiator passage and performs a water flow control to adjust a coolant amount flowing into the water jacket by adjusting a coolant amount flowing through the first bypass passage. A thermally-actuated valve connected with the radiator passage via a second bypass passage is provided to the first bypass passage, and when this valve opens, the coolant flowing through the first bypass passage flows into the radiator passage through the second bypass passage.
Temperature-controlling water valve
A temperature-controlling water valve is provided. An adjusting assembly is assembled within the water valve and includes an adjusting member, a first elastic member, a blocking member and an abutting member. The first elastic member biases the abutting member, and the blocking member is fixed to the adjusting member to block the abutting member from detaching from a receiving hole of the adjusting member. A temperature-controlling assembly includes a valve member and a second elastic member biasing the valve member. Thermal expansion or contraction of a rod member of the valve member drives the valve member to move so that an overlapping area of the valve member and a first passageway of the water valve and an overlapping area of the valve member and a second passageway of the water valve change.
GDCI engine with accelerated oil warm-up
A piston oil squirter is selectively opened when an oil temperature is below a threshold oil temperature to transfer heat from the combustion chamber and heat the oil more rapidly when the engine is cold.
Oil, coolant, and exahust gas circulation system, elements and kits
A system for circulating coolant including a coolant manifold and a coolant filter hosing. The oil cap and the oil transfer tube act in conjunction to redirect the oil flow. The coolant manifold is able to redirect coolant to the coolant filter and back into the system. The coolant filter is able to filter coolant in the system.
Engine cooling system
An engine cooling system is provided, which includes a water jacket through which coolant flows, a heat exchanger that cools the coolant, a bypass passage that bypasses the heat exchanger and recirculates the coolant to the water jacket, a first radiator passage that recirculates the coolant to the water jacket via the heat exchanger, a flow control device installed at a location where a coolant passage branches into the bypass passage and the first radiator passage, a second radiator passage that bypasses the flow control device and is connected to the first radiator passage, and a thermally-actuated valve installed in the second radiator passage. The flow control device performs a water flow control to adjust a coolant amount flowing into the water jacket by adjusting a coolant amount flowing through the bypass passage. The coolant flows into the first radiator passage through the second radiator passage, when the valve opens.
Heat exchanger arrangement, screen, and method for protecting a heat exchanger arrangement
A heat exchanger arrangement includes a heat exchanger having a front, a rear, and a side between the front and the rear, a fan arranged to direct an airflow from the front to the rear of the heat exchanger, and a screen disposed over at least the front and side of the heat exchanger and attached to a structure at or behind the rear of the heat exchanger.
