An engine system having a coolant control valve may include a cylinder head including an intake side head coolant jacket for cooling an intake side thereof and an exhaust side head coolant jacket for cooling an exhaust side thereof formed in the cylinder head, a cylinder block arranged on a lower side of the cylinder head and having an intake side block coolant jacket for cooling an intake side of the cylinder block and an exhaust side block coolant jacket for cooling an exhaust side cylinder block formed therein, and a coolant control valve arranged for independently controlling coolant flowing through the intake side head coolant jacket, the exhaust side head coolant jacket, the intake side block coolant jacket and the exhaust side block coolant jacket.

A cooling system for a vehicle may include a cooling water temperature sensor, a cooling circulation fluid passage including first, second and third fluid passages, wherein the cooling water exhausted from the engine may be branched into the first fluid passage provided with a heater core, the second fluid passage provided with a radiator, and the third fluid passage provided with an exhaust heat recovery apparatus, a fluid flow adjusting valve provided on a point at which the cooling water passing through the cooling water temperature sensor may be branched into the first fluid passage to the third fluid passage to adjust a flow of the cooling water, and a controlling part controlling the first fluid passage to the third fluid passage to be selectively opened or closed by operating the fluid flow adjusting valve depending on the temperature of the cooling water, in a heating mode and a non-heating mode.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR EXHAUST GAS HEAT RECOVERY
Methods and systems are provided for exhaust gas heat recovery at a split exhaust gas heat exchanger. Exhaust gas may flow in both directions through an exhaust bypass passage and the heat exchanger coupled to the bypass passage. Warm or cold EGR may be delivered from the exhaust passage to the engine intake manifold and heat from the exhaust gas may be recovered at the heat exchanger.
Pressure regulator warm up system for a transport refrigeration unit
A fluid circuit for a trucking vehicle having a transport refrigeration unit is provided. The fluid circuit includes a first regulator assembly defining a first fuel inlet that is arranged to receive fuel from a first fuel tank and a first fuel outlet that is arranged to provide fuel to a first engine. The first regulator assembly having a first heat exchanger assembly defining a first coolant inlet that is arranged to receive coolant from a cooling system associated with the first engine and a first coolant outlet that is arranged to provide coolant to the cooling system.
Waste heat accumulator/distributor system
A waste heat accumulator/distributor system for use in a vehicle. The system includes an engine coolant loop directing engine coolant through a power plant, a powertrain electronics coolant loop directing electronics coolant through a powertrain electronics system; and a transmission fluid loop directing transmission fluid through a transmission. The system includes a multi-fluid heat exchanger including an engine coolant inlet receiving the engine coolant from the engine coolant loop, an electronics coolant inlet receiving the electronics coolant from the powertrain electronic coolant loop, and a transmission fluid inlet receiving the transmission fluid from the transmission fluid loop; a first valve controllable to cause engine coolant to flow into the engine coolant inlet or to bypass the engine coolant inlet; and a second valve controllable to cause electronics coolant to flow into the electronics coolant inlet or to bypass the electronics coolant inlet.

The invention relates to an internal combustion engine comprising a combustion engine (10) and a cooling system, which has a coolant pump (40), a main cooler (38), a heating heat exchanger (36), coolant channels (28, 30) in the combustion engine (10), and a control device (20) having an actuator (26) for the closed-loop distribution of a coolant according to at least one local coolant temperature, characterised in that the control device (20) can be connected to a coolant compensation container (106) via a connection in line and, with an actuation of the actuator (26) in one direction, the control device (20): permits a coolant flow through the coolant channels (28, 30) of the combustion engine (10), and through the heating heat exchanger (36), and prevents same through the main cooler (38), and closes the connection line in a first primary position (80); releases the connection line in a second primary position (96); and also permits a coolant flow though the main cooler (38) in a third primary position (126).
Engine cooling system
An engine cooling system may include a main intake line for supplying external air to an intake manifold attached to an engine including a cylinder block and a cylinder head, a supplementary intake line branched from one side of the main intake line and joined to the other side of the main intake line, an intake route control valve in the main intake line, a main exhaust line for flowing exhaust gas from an exhaust manifold, an exhaust route control valve in the main exhaust line, a turbocharger, an intercooler mounted to the supplementary intake line on a downstream side of the turbocharger, an EGR cooler branched from the exhaust manifold for recirculating the exhaust gas and provided in an EGR line connected to the main intake line; and a cooling line for flowing a coolant supplied from a water pump to cool the EGR cooler, the exhaust route control valve and/or the turbine housing of the turbocharger.
