Method for charging coolant in cooling system for vehicle

A method for charging coolant in a cooling system for a vehicle may include determining a vehicle-diagnostic apparatus connection that determines whether a diagnostic apparatus configured for charging coolant has been connected to a vehicle; starting a coolant charging mode for charging the coolant by the diagnostic apparatus; and determining whether a coolant charging mode release condition has been satisfied after starting the coolant charging mode.

HEATING SYSTEM FOR ENGINE

A heating system for an engine includes a heater and a heat exchanger. The heater increases the temperature of an engine coolant and circulates the engine coolant into the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is located with an oil pan. The heat exchanger received the heated engine coolant and transfers heat from the engine coolant into engine lubricant in the oil pan. The engine coolant flows from the heat exchanger into an engine block of the engine. The engine coolant transfers heat to the engine block and flows back to the heater to be heated again.

Air cleaner

An air flow controller for an air cleaner and an air cleaner are provided. The air flow controller may include a fan, and a housing, the fan being provided in the housing and the housing being movable from an initial horizontal position in which the air flow controller directs air flow in a vertical direction to an inclined position in which the air flow controller directs air flow in a diagonal direction.

Vehicular cooling device

A vehicular cooling device includes a heat medium circuit, a waste heat supply device, a heat exchanger, and a heater. A heat medium circulates in the heat medium circuit. The waste heat supply device is configured to generate a waste heat in accordance with operation of the waste heat supply device and supply the waste heat to the heat medium. The heat exchanger is configured to exchange heat between the heat medium and a lubricant lubricating a transmission of a vehicle. The heater is configured to heat the lubricant that is inside the heat exchanger. According to this vehicular cooling device, since the heater heats the lubricant, the transmission can be warmed up early, and thereby friction in the transmission decreases to improve fuel economy.

Internal combustion engine cooling system

An internal combustion engine cooling system, including: an internal combustion engine; a cooling circuit in which cooling fluid for cooling the internal combustion engine is circulated; a radiator for cooling the cooling fluid; a radiator circuit that branches from the cooling circuit to guide the cooling fluid to the radiator and return the cooling fluid having passed the radiator to the cooling circuit; a thermostat that is provided in a portion where the cooling circuit and the radiator circuit are connected to each other and that opens and closes a path between cooling circuit and the radiator circuit; a heater for heating the thermostat; and a control device for controlling the heater.

The invention relates to a system that is added to a standard vehicle installed air-conditioning system that allows the standard vehicle installed air-conditioning system to cool and condition the air inside the vehicle without operating the engine of the vehicle. This allows the vehicle to be air-conditioned without polluting the air via continuous operation of the vehicle's (usually) diesel engine. Also, a thermal heating tank is included to warm the electrical components of the system and to ensure improved morning starting of the vehicle's engine.

COMPRESSION IGNITION ENGINE WITH SUPERCHARGER

A compression ignition engine with a supercharger is provided, which includes one or more valves configured to switch a state between a first state where intake air is boosted by the supercharger and a second state where it is not boosted, a fluid temperature adjuster configured to adjust a temperature of engine coolant to be supplied to a radiator from an engine body, and a controller. When the engine operates in a high-load range, the controller controls the combustion mode to be in a compression ignition combustion mode, and causes the valve(s) to be in the first state, and in a low-load range, the controller causes the valve(s) to be in the second state. In the high-load range, the controller outputs a control signal to the fluid temperature adjuster so that a target temperature of the engine coolant is lowered than that in the low-load range.

INTAKE-AIR TEMPERATURE CONTROLLING DEVICE FOR ENGINE

An intake-air temperature controlling device for an engine is provided, which includes an engine body, an intake passage, an air intake part, an intake air temperature adjuster configured to adjust air temperature taken in through the air intake part to the passage, and a controller. An operating range in which the CI combustion is performed has a lean operating range in which A/F of mixture gas formed inside the cylinder, or G/F that is a relationship between the total weight G of gas inside the cylinder and a weight F of fuel fed to the cylinder is relatively low, and a rich operating range in which the A/F or G/F is relatively high. When the engine is in the lean operating range, the controller outputs a control signal to the intake air temperature adjuster so that the air temperature is increased, as compared in the rich operating range.
