Exhaust valve assembly for a two-stroke internal combustion engine and method for cleaning same
A method for cleaning an exhaust valve of a two-stroke internal combustion engine is provided. The method comprises: requesting an exhaust valve cleaning cycle if at least one of a first condition or a second condition is satisfied; initiating the exhaust valve cleaning cycle if at least one of a third condition or a fourth condition is satisfied; and aborting the exhaust valve cleaning cycle if at least one of the at least one of the third or fourth conditions is no longer satisfied. The first condition is a time elapsed since a previous cleaning cycle has been completed being greater than a predetermined time. The second condition is a rate of opening of the exhaust valve being less than predetermined rate. The third condition is a throttle valve being closed. The fourth condition is an engine speed being less than a predetermined engine speed.

Carburetor and method for operating an internal combustion engine having said carburetor
A carburetor has a housing wherein a control drum is rotatably mounted. A section of an intake channel is formed in the carburetor. A subsection of this section is formed in the control drum. The control drum controls the free flow cross section of the intake channel. A fuel opening is connected to a fuel chamber via an unbranched fuel channel which opens into the subsection of the intake channel. A simple configuration of the carburetor is achieved by the carburetor including an electrically actuated valve which controls the flow of fuel through the fuel channel. For a method for operating an internal combustion engine with a carburetor, a temperature (T) is determined before or during the starting of the engine and that the flow of fuel through the fuel channel during the starting of the engine is controlled in dependence upon the temperature (T).

PISTON ARRANGEMENT AND INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
As disclosed herein, a piston arrangement may include a cylinder, a piston head movable along a piston axis within the cylinder, a con rod, and a track. The con rod has a first end which is coupled to the piston head and a second end which is coupled to the track. The track is adapted to be moved relative to the cylinder and is shaped such that, as the track moves relative to the cylinder, the piston head moves in reciprocating motion along the piston axis in accordance with a path of the track. The path of the track may be shaped such that piston head displacement is non simple harmonic with respect to displacement of the track relative to the cylinder.

TWO-STROKE INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
The invention relates to a two-stroke internal combustion engine, in particular for a motor vehicle, with direct fuel injection, comprising at least one working cylinder (1) which comprises a bushing and in which a piston (6) can be moved in an oscillating manner; at least one outlet channel (2) which opens into the working cylinder (1) above the upper dead center of the piston (6); at least two inlet openings (5) which are distributed over the circumference of the bushing and which open into the working cylinder (1) above the lower dead center of the piston (6) such that a uniflow scavenging process of the working cylinder (1) is produced during the operation of the two-stroke internal combustion engine; and a slider which releases and closes the inlet openings (5), whereby the slider is designed as a tube slider (4) which surrounds the bushing of the working cylinder (1) and which comprises a closed casing. The slider releases or closes the inlet openings (5) in an oscillating manner in the longitudinal direction of the bushing during the charge cycle.
