Blow-by gas device of supercharger-equipped engine
A blow-by gas device of a supercharger-equipped engine includes a blow-by gas passage that introduces blow-by gas into an intake passage via a positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve. A supercharger has a supercharger rotor provided integrally with a rotation shaft rotatably supported on a bearing part. A space communicating with the bearing part is connected to a communication passage. The communication passage guides the blow-by gas into the space.

Stratified scavenging engine and portable work machine
Provided is a stratified scavenging engine and a portable work machine that suppress THC sufficiently. A stratified scavenging engine includes: a cylinder having a cylinder bore; and a piston stored in the cylinder bore to be movable in a reciprocating manner. The cylinder has an intake port to intake leading air and a scavenging port to scavenge combustion gas, the intake port and the scavenging port being open to the cylinder bore. The piston has a peripheral surface including a piston groove to guide leading air from the intake port to the scavenging port, and the piston groove has a recess near the intake port.
Structure of engine intake duct
An engine intake duct includes an upstream side linear portion, a bend portion, a downstream side linear portion, and a fin that rises from an inner surface of the bend portion on an inner side in a bend direction. A fin tip portion is located in the bend portion, and a fin rear end portion is located in the bend portion or the downstream side linear portion, and the fin includes a tip side inclined surface, a rear end side inclined surface, and a rear end surface that is a steep wall extending from a rear end of the rear end side inclined surface to the fin rear end portion. At least a part of a top of the tip side inclined surface of the fin is formed along an extension line of an inner surface of the upstream side linear portion toward the bend portion.
Engines and pumps with motionless one-way valve
Embodiments of apparatus for controlling the movement of matter, including but not limited to one-way fluid valves, are disclosed. The apparatus may include a transition nozzle, a funnel nozzle, and a reverse flow blocker arranged in series in a case. A counter-flow area may be disposed about the funnel nozzle. The apparatus may permit matter to flow in a first direction, and discourage or prevent flow in a direction reverse to the first direction. Control over the flow of matter also may enable matter to be harvested, sorted, separated or combined with injected matter.
ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICS OF A TURBOCHARGER SYSTEM
A turbocharger system (1) of a combustion engine (4) comprises a turbocharger turbine (5) operable by exhaust gases, a valve (7) configured to control gas flow of pressurized gas from a pressurized gas reservoir (6) to the turbocharger turbine (5), and a sensor (8). Turbocharger system operation comprises injecting a test pulse of pressurized gas from the pressurized gas reservoir (6) to drive the turbocharger turbine (5) by means of controlling the valve (7), detecting an impact of injected pressurized gas on the turbocharger turbine (5) by means of the sensor (8), collecting data from the sensor (8), and diagnosing the turbocharger system (1) by evaluating an operational response of the turbocharger turbine (5) as a result of the injected test pulse of pressurized gas, based on the collected data.

INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE INTAKE POWER BOOSTER SYSTEM
An internal combustion engine includes an intake conduit fluidically coupled to ambient fluid and having an internal cross-sectional area and an engine cylinder fluidically coupled to the intake conduit. A fluidic amplifier is disposed within the intake conduit and is fluidically coupled to the ambient fluid and engine cylinder. The amplifier is further fluidically coupled to a source of primary fluid and is configured to introduce the primary fluid and at least a portion of the ambient fluid to the engine cylinder.
