Apparatus and method for an articulating inner structure of an engine chamber
An apparatus and a method comprises a housing comprising at least a recessed area and an inner wall. A plurality of plates are disposed within the housing and configured to form a structure. The structure has an outside surface. The structure is capable of being articulated between a first configuration and a second configuration and a third configuration. A plurality of connecting rods are joined to the plurality of plates to form the structure and to at least in part articulate the structure. The connecting rods are movable to form the first configuration to enable a gas to flow from the recessed area to the outside surface. The plurality of connecting rods are further movable to form the second configuration, wherein at least a portion of the gas is compressed between the outside surface and the inner wall and then to the third configuration.

Adaptive linear linked piston electric power generator
A load adaptive linear electrical generator system is provided for generating DC electrical power. The electrical generation system includes one or more power generation modules which will be selectively turned on or off and additively contribute power depending on the DC power demand. Each power generating module includes a pair of linear electrical generators connected to respective ones of a pair of internal combustion piston based power assemblies. The piston in the internal combustion assembly is connected to a magnet in the linear electrical generator. The piston/magnet assembly oscillates in a simple harmonic motion at a frequency dependent on a power load of the electrical generator. A stroke limiter constrains the piston/magnet assembly motion to preset limits.
Apparatus for Increasing Efficiency in Reciprocating Type Engines
A reciprocating internal combustion engine is disclosed having co-axially aligned cylinder blocks within a housing, each cylinder block having a piston structure comprising a piston head and a connecting rod. The piston heads are adapted to reciprocate within their respective cylinder blocks. The connecting rods are connected to opposite ends of a central yoke structure, pivotally, with the ability to angularly deviate from a longitudinal axis during a cycle of motion. The central yoke structure consists of a roller gear disposed within a void of the central yoke structure, and the linear motion of the piston structure is translated into the rotary motion of the roller gear.

Reciprocating internal combustion engine
A reciprocating internal combustion engine includes at least one piston, which is operatively connected by two connecting rods having two crankshafts rotating in opposite directions and running parallel to each other, which crankshafts are oriented in an upright manner to a horizontal water line of a boat, and an internal combustion engine housing of the internal combustion engine is composed of at least a cylinder crank housing and a cylinder head, having inlet and outlet valves, and is bounded by an upper end face and a bottom end face. To optimize the internal combustion engine, a joint ventilation system has an oil separating device provided with an oil pre-separator and a main oil separator, via which, when operating the internal combustion engine, a mixture of oil and leaking gas, resulting in a crankcase of the cylinder crank housing, reaches, by way of a discharge line extending adjacent to the upper end face, the oil pre-separator, from where the mixture of oil and leaking gas is led into the main oil separator and there is separated into the components of oil and leaking gas. The oil flows into an oil pan connecting at the bottom end face and the leaking gas near the upper end face flows into an intake system of the internal combustion engine.
