Fluid Management Systems and Methods
Fluid management systems are disclosed that include software-controlled, electro-mechanical devices used in combination with single-use or multi-use tubing sets. Functions of the fluid management systems can include fluid pressurization, fluid warming, fluid deficit monitoring (including flow-based and weight-based), suction, fluid collection, and fluid evacuation (including indirect-to-drain and direct-to-drain options). The systems can be configured based on the surgical environment (e.g., operating room or physician office) as well as other user needs and/or preferences.
Humidification of respiratory gases
A system for humidifying respiratory gases has a humidification apparatus, a humidification chamber, a heating apparatus and a sensor. The sensor is configured to determine a characteristic of the gases flow and communicate this to a controller which controls the power supplied to the heating apparatus with respect to information regarding the characteristic of the gases flow. A structure partially encloses the humidification chamber and allows energy loss through a wall of the humidification chamber. The humidification chamber may have features to promote heat loss through the wall of the chamber.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR EXTRACTING AND ASPIRATING ACTIVE SUBSTANCES, ESPECIALLY FROM THE CANNABIS PLANT
The invention relates to a capsule for use in a vaporizer, having at least one first cavity formed at least in part by a lid, side walls and bottom of the capsule, and a vaporizable active substance accommodated in the first cavity of the capsule, wherein the side walls and/or the bottom are at least in sections double-walled with an inner wall facing the first cavity of the capsule and an outer wall facing the outside of the capsule, so that at least one second cavity is formed between the inner wall and the outer wall of the capsule, inner wall facing the first cavity of the capsule and an outer wall facing the outside of the capsule, so that at least one second cavity is formed between the inner wall and the outer wall, wherein an auxiliary substance, preferably a further active substance, a chemical reactant and/or a flavoring agent is accommodated in the second cavity. A corresponding vaporizer as well as a corresponding vaporizer system are further described.
Compact portable oxygen concentrator
A method of operating a compressor system includes determining an efficiency of a compressor configured to operate at a plurality of output flow settings, including one or more of measuring, calibrating, calculating, or modeling motor efficiency over a range of supply voltage and pulse width modulation duty cycle combinations, each combination including a supply voltage of a plurality of supply voltages and a pulse width modulation duty cycle of a plurality of pulse width modulation duty cycles. The method further includes selecting a supply voltage and a pulse width modulation duty cycle for use at at least one output flow setting of the plurality of output flow settings based on the determined efficiency of the compressor, generating the selected supply voltage by maintaining, reducing, or increasing a nominal supply voltage, and applying the selected pulse width modulation duty cycle.
Holder to Secure an Auto-Injection Device
Holder devices are described herein that are configured to secure auto-injection devices to a smartphone or a protective phone case. In some implementations, the device may include a body portion configured to secure an auto-injectable device and a coupling mechanism coupled to the body portion and configured to attach to one or more of a smartphone or a protective case associated with the smartphone.
DEVICE FOR TABLETING A POWDER, LIQUID, PASTE, ENCAPSULATED OR GRANULAR ACTIVE INGREDIENT COMPOSITION
The invention relates to a device for tabletting a powdered, liquid, pasty, encapsulated or granular active ingredient composition, having a magazine which has a plurality of active ingredient containers each with an individually controllable dosing device and a nozzle for the active ingredient outlet, wherein the magazine is adjustable between a plurality of setting positions relative to at least one die chamber, wherein in each of the setting positions at least one of the nozzles faces an opening of the die chamber. A corresponding method is further described.
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A GASEOUS ACTIVE INGREDIENT OR A GASEOUS ACTIVE INGREDIENT MIXTURE, KIT FOR USE THEREIN AND GASEOUS COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to a kit comprising: a) a bag having an outlet, the outlet being closable and openable; b) a solid and/or liquid active agent precursor; and c) means for releasing a gaseous active agent or a gaseous active agent mixture from the active agent precursor; a method for producing a gaseous active agent or a gaseous active agent mixture comprising the steps: a) providing the kit; b) providing the solid and/or liquid active ingredient precursor in the bag; and c) releasing the gaseous active ingredient or the gaseous active ingredient mixture from the solid and/or liquid active ingredient precursor with the aid of the means for releasing a gaseous active ingredient or a gaseous active ingredient mixture, and a gaseous composition obtainable by the process.
BLOWER FOR BREATHING APPARATUS
This invention relates to a blower for a breathing apparatus. The blower comprising a bottom support with a stub axle, a top support with a stub axle, a motor core comprising a motor stator and rotor, and an impeller coupled to the motor core via a shaft, the shaft is rotatably coupled at a first end to the stub axle on the top support and at a second end via the stub axle on the bottom support.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TREATING NEUROLOGICAL DISORDERS
Caloric stimulation and pressure stimulation can be applied to the ear for treatment of neurological disorders, such as migraine, pain, and headache. Heat can be applied first to increase the sensitivity of the mechanoreceptors in the ear. The pressure can be applied after heating to produce a stronger neurological response than would occur without the heating. In some cases, cooling can be used. Valves can be used to direct fluid flow to a right ear, a left ear, or both. Valves can be used to transition the system between an irrigation or caloric mode and a pressure mode. Green eyewear can be used for therapeutic relief.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OXYGEN PRODUCTION
An oxygen production system (100) may include a main control module (120) and a molecular sieve module (140). The molecular sieve module (140) may include a molecular sieve and a molecular sieve information unit. The molecular sieve information unit may be configured to store information of the molecular sieve. The main control module (120) may be configured to read, write and/or update the information of the molecular sieve stored in the molecular sieve information unit. When reading, in response to at least part of the information of the molecular sieve exceeding a preset range, the main control module (120) may control the oxygen production system (100) to perform a corresponding operation. The oxygen production system (100) may occupy small space, have good performance and a high oxygen production efficiency, and enable a user to obtain a more user-friendly experience.
