TANGENTIAL TURBOFAN PROPULSION SYSTEM
The present invention is a turbofan propulsion system, based on a tangential gas turbine that is structurally a part of the propulsion system's centrifugal compressor, wherein the gas turbine's combustion chambers with nozzles are placed to rotate around a larger radius circle at a supersonic circumferential speed, and the fan blades are placed to rotate around a smaller radius circle at a subsonic circumferential speed, therefore increasing the efficiency of the propulsion system.

GAS TURBINE ENGINE
An aircraft gas turbine engine comprises a high pressure compressor driven by a high pressure turbine via a high pressure shaft, a first combustor provided downstream of the high pressure compressor and upstream of the high pressure turbine, a low pressure compressor driven by a low pressure turbine via a low pressure shaft, the low pressure compressor being configured to provide air to the high pressure compressor and to a bypass flow. The low pressure turbine comprises at least first and second turbine stages. The engine further comprises a second combustor provided downstream of the first stage of the low pressure turbine and upstream of the second stage of the low pressure turbine. The engine comprises a shaft coupling arrangement configured to transfer power between the high and low pressure shafts.
CO2 POWER GENERATION SYSTEM
A CO.sub.2 power generation system includes a furnace to burn fuel, a turbine operated by a working fluid supplied thereto, the working fluid being heated by heat generated in the furnace, a recuperator exchanging heat with the working fluid passing through the turbine, a cooler to cool the working fluid passing through the recuperator, and a compressor to compress the working fluid passing through the cooler, wherein the working fluid passing through the compressor is circulated to the furnace, and the working fluid is supercritical CO.sub.2.
INSTALLATION TOOL AND SYSTEM FOR ASSEMBLING A GAS TURBINE COMBUSTOR
An apparatus and system for assembling a combustor comprises a push bar including a first end portion that is laterally opposed from a second end portion. A first alignment block and a second alignment block are adjustably coupled to the push bar. A first threaded rod extends through the push bar proximate to the first end portion and a second threaded rod extends through the push bar proximate to the second end portion. The first alignment block and the second alignment block extend outwardly from an aft side of the push bar and are positioned between the first threaded rod and the second threaded rod. The installation tool includes a first nut and a second nut for applying axial force to the push bar.
