AEROSOLIZATION SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUSES
Systems, methods and apparatuses for aerosolizing all or substantially all plant matter, medications, flavors, smells, liquid and/or other material to be aerosolizing are disclosed. Embodiments of the invention comprise an aerosolization chamber sealed except for two or more conduits, a first conduit coupled to a source of fully or almost fully oxygenated gas, a heating element capable of heating the aerosolization chamber to a temperature above a combustion temperature, a second conduit configured to transport aerosolized gases and elements out of the chamber and, in one implementation, at least one valve positioned in the second conduit preventing the flow of atmospheric air into the vaporization chamber. In some instances, the first gas substantially clears the vaporization chamber of atmospheric air prior to reaching combustion temperature. A second gas containing oxygen may be intermixed with the vaporization gases and vaporized elements proximal to the combustion chamber.
DISPENSING DEVICE WITH MEMBRANE BASED TRIGGER
A device may be configured with a housing having a reservoir and an outlet separated by a heat rupturable membrane. The membrane may serve to separate a material held within the reservoir from the outlet until the membrane is ruptured. The membrane may include a heater configured to selectively rupture the membrane when actuated. The heater may be physically removed and/or thermally insulated from at least one of an environment surrounding the device and the reservoir.
THERMALLY CONTROLLED FACE ENGAGING DEVICE
A face engaging device such as a nozzle, facemask, etc., may include a housing including a fluid channel extending through the housing to an opening configured to be placed in fluid communication with the mouth of a user. The housing may include a first surface configured to be placed in contact with the skin of the user and a second surface exposed to the fluid channel. The face engaging device may also include a thermal actuator supported by the housing and including a first heat transfer surface position on the first surface, where the first heat transfer surface is configured to apply a thermal profile to the skin of the user when the opening is placed in fluid communication with the mouth of the user.
Treadmill having sensors
A treadmill may include two separate left and right belts rotating around two sets of rollers, four legs having an adjustable height via air suspension to customize an inclination of the treadmill, a thermoelectric assembly, a fragrance assembly having a rotating fragrance cartridge to emit various smells toward a user of the treadmill, a display on which exercise programs are played, and an attachment module having a dispensing tray on which treats are dispensed. A handle of the treadmill may have a sensor to sense a height and front-rear position, and a belt divider provided between the left and right belts may have position or proximity sensors to sense a left-right position. An inclination of the treadmill may be automatically adjusted according to positions detected by the sensors, and the fragrance assembly, attachment module, and inclination may be automatically operated in accordance with an exercise program played on the display.
Ultra low-leakage silicone-based heater thermally coupled to a heat transfer body
Systems and methods include a heat transfer body with opposing major surfaces formed from a thermally conductive substrate in intimate thermal interaction with an alumina exterior surface that extends across the major surfaces of the body. In an illustrative example, the heat source may be a substantially planar, silicone-based heater source (P-SBHS). The heat transfer body may be configured to thermally interact, for example, heat from a heat source proximate a first of the major surfaces to a second of the major surfaces. A temperature sensor module may be located, for example, proximate to the first major surface such that a temperature sensor thermally interacts with the first major surface. The temperature sensor module may, for example, insulate the temperature sensor from the P-SBHS.
Drug delivery device, system comprising a drug delivery device, and associated method
A drug delivery device is provided, the drug delivery device comprising a thermal coupling surface which is arranged and configured to transfer thermal energy, and a thermally controlled member, which is thermally conductively connected to the thermal coupling surface, wherein the thermally controlled member is configured to operate in response to thermal energy transferred through the thermal coupling surface, and wherein the drug delivery device is configured to perform a drug delivery operation.
Heating and cooling system for intravenous fluids
An intravenous fluid conditioning system includes a housing having a first chamber and a second chamber. A volume of heat transfer medium is located in the first chamber and the second chamber. A first intravenous fluid line extends through the first chamber and a second intravenous fluid line extends through the second chamber. One or more thermoelectric devices are located in the housing, such that a first side of each of the one or more thermoelectric devices is in thermal communication with the first chamber and a second side of each of the one or more thermoelectric devices opposite the first side is in thermal communication with the second chamber. The one or more thermoelectric devices exchange thermal energy with a volume of intravenous fluid selectably flowed through the first intravenous fluid line or the second intravenous fluid line to condition the intravenous fluid.
HEATED RESPIRATORY HOSE CONNECTION
Unwinding a portion of a support helix that comprises a heating wire from a wall of a hose at an end of the hose; sleeving a length of heatshrink tubing at least partly onto the unwound portion of the support helix; heating the heatshrink tubing to shrink onto at least part of the unwound portion of the support helix; and at an end of the unwound portion, directly connecting the heating wire to an electrical contact of an electrical connector.
Medical treatment system and methods using a plurality of fluid lines
A medical treatment system, such as a peritoneal dialysis system, may include a control system and other features to enhance patient comfort and ease of use. For example, the peritoneal dialysis system may include the control system that can adjust a volume of fluid infused into a peritoneal cavity to prevent an intraperitoneal fluid volume from exceeding a pre-determined amount. The control system can adjust by adding one or more therapy cycles, allowing for fill volumes during each cycle of the one or more therapy cycles to be reduced. The control system may continue to allow the fluid to drain from the peritoneal cavity as completely as possible before starting the next therapy cycle of the one or more therapy cycles. The control system may also adjust a dwell time of the fluid within the peritoneal cavity during the one or more therapy cycles in order to complete a therapy within a scheduled time period. A cycler may also be configured to have a heater control system that monitors both a temperature of a heating tray and a temperature of a bag of dialysis fluid in order to bring a temperature of the dialysis fluid rapidly to a specified temperature, with minimal temperature overshoot.
VIBRATION PRODUCING DEVICE WITH SLEEP CYCLE FUNCTION AND TRANSDUCER
A device is described for delivering a therapeutic vibration to a body. The device may include at least two motors in a housing with unbalanced masses coupled to their axles, such that vibration of the masses causes the two motors and housing to vibrate at a beat frequency 80. The motors and housing may be coupled to the body via a platform which places the motors and housings at or near a resonant structure in the body, creating a coupled oscillation between the platform and the body. The vibration may be based on the input signal, such that the system applies the vibration based on the input signal to the user, wherein the signal may be an audio or video signal. The system may be configured to measure and manipulate the flow of cerebral spinal fluid.
