Work vehicle alcohol-based power system with on-board ether
A power system for a work vehicle includes an alcohol tank configured to store alcohol; a catalytic converter fluidly coupled to receive alcohol from the alcohol tank and configured to convert the alcohol into ether; and an engine including one or more piston-cylinder sets configured to selectively receive the alcohol stored in the alcohol tank and the ether converted by the catalytic converter and to combust the alcohol and the ether with air to produce mechanical power and exhaust gas.
Method and systems for active air fuel ratio control
Various methods and systems are provided for controlling emissions and a likelihood of engine knock during combustion in a multi-fuel engine. A method for an engine includes mixing an amount of a first fuel and an amount of a second fuel to combust a fuel mixture having a fuel ratio of the first fuel relative to the second fuel, the first fuel having a faster combustion flame speed relative to the second fuel, the fuel mixture having an air-to-fuel ratio with an amount of air delivered to the engine. The method further includes controlling either or both of a speed of combustion and a stability of combustion of the fuel mixture with the amount of air delivered to the engine by changing at least one of the fuel ratio, the air-to-fuel ratio, or both of the fuel ratio and the air-to-fuel ratio.
Methods and systems for a multi-pressure fuel injection system
Various methods and systems are provided for a method for a multi-pressure fueling system. FUEL TREATMENT SYSTEM AND PROCESS
The invention provides a fuel treatment system for cracking hydrocarbons in fuel for combustion engines. The system comprises a primary ducting component having an exhaust gas inlet zone, and a secondary ducting component which includes a fuel enrichment component and a processing chamber. The processing chamber may have an outlet zone connectable to the combustion engine. The inlet zone of the primary ducting component and the outlet zone of the processing chamber may be configured in a heat exchange relationship with each other and in a counter-current gas flow direction with respect to each other. During operation of the system, heat from hottest volumes of the exhaust gas flowing in a furthest upstream portion of the ducting arrangement may be transferred to fuel-enriched exhaust gas flowing in a furthest downstream portion of the processing chamber. The system may include turbulence-inducing formations, including vortex-inducing formations configured in accordance with mathematical sequences such as the Fibonacci sequence.
INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
In a combustion cycle in which fuel for forming a homogenized air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber is injected from the first fuel injector, ignition-use fuel for forming an ignition-use air-fuel mixture in the vicinity of the electrode part is injected from the second fuel injector, and lean combustion is performed by an excess air rate of 2.0 or more, the ignition-use fuel is injected by at least an injection rate of 1.0 mm.sup.3/ms or more for a duration of 250 μs or more in an interval from a crank angle advanced by exactly 20 degrees from an ignition timing of the spark plug to the ignition timing, and the quantity of the ignition-use fuel is 2.0 mm.sup.3/st or less.
Engine
An engine operable in a premixed combustion system and a diffusion combustion system. The engine includes a main fuel injection valve, a pilot fuel injection valve, a liquid fuel tank, a main fuel supply path, a pilot fuel supply path, a pilot fuel filter, a pilot fuel high-pressure pump, a pilot fuel tank, and a pilot fuel supply pump. The pilot fuel tank stores pilot fuel sent from the pilot fuel high-pressure pump and not injected by the pilot fuel injection valve. This pilot fuel is sent to an automatic backwash filter and a pilot fuel filter while not passing through the liquid fuel tank.
Engine

The engine includes a main fuel injection valve, a pilot fuel injection valve, a liquid fuel tank, a main fuel supply path, a pilot fuel supply path, a pilot fuel filter, a pilot fuel high-pressure pump, a pilot fuel tank, and a pilot fuel supply pump. This pilot fuel is sent to an automatic backwash filter and a pilot fuel filter while not passing through the liquid fuel tank.

A liquid ammonia phase-change cooling type hybrid power thermal management system. The system comprises an injector, a liquid ammonia hydrogen supply system, a liquid ammonia common rail pipe, a fuel oil common rail pipe and an oil tank, wherein the liquid ammonia hydrogen supply system comprises a liquid ammonia storage tank, an ammonia pumping system, a flow dividing system and an ammonia inlet and outlet system, the fuel oil common rail pipe is respectively connected with the oil tank and a one-way oil inlet of the injector, the liquid ammonia common rail pipe is respectively connected with the ammonia inlet and outlet system and a one-way ammonia inlet of the injector, an ammonia inlet pipe and an ammonia return pipe are arranged in the ammonia inlet and outlet system, the ammonia pumping system comprises a liquid ammonia storage flow divider, a low-pressure pump and a high-pressure pump.
