INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A control device for an internal combustion engine is configured to carry out a lean combustion of which excess air factor is 2.0 or more by injecting fuel for creating a homogeneous air-fuel mixture from a first fuel injection valve into a combustion chamber of an engine main body, injecting ignition fuel for creating an ignition air-fuel mixture near an electrode portion of a spark plug from a second fuel injection valve, and igniting the ignition air-fuel mixture, and when occurrence of knocking is detected based on a detection value of a knock sensor during the lean combustion, apply retard correction to each of an ignition timing of the spark plug and an injection timing of the ignition fuel set corresponding to an engine operating state, and apply increase correction to an injection amount of the ignition fuel.
Engine system
An engine system is provided, which includes a cylinder block, a cylinder head, a piston, a main combustion chamber, a subchamber, an injector that injects fuel into the main combustion chamber, a main spark plug that ignites a mixture gas inside the main combustion chamber, a subspark plug that ignites the mixture gas inside the subchamber, and a control device. In a low-speed high-load range, a fuel injection timing is set in compression stroke and the main ignition and the subignition are performed after the fuel injection timing, and the fuel injection timing under a low-speed condition becomes later than that under a high-speed condition, and the ignition devices are controlled so that the subignition timing is retarded from the main ignition timing and an ignition phase difference that is the retard amount of the subignition timing becomes larger under the low-speed condition than under the high-speed condition.
Abnormality detection device for engine control device and abnormality detection method for engine control device
An abnormality detection device is mounted on an engine control device that calculates a target load factor by using a target torque, converts the target load factor to a target throttle opening, calculates a target ignition timing by using a target efficiency, and controls an engine based on the target throttle opening and the target ignition timing. In the abnormality detection device, a target efficiency for monitoring is calculated by using the target ignition timing, a target torque for monitoring is calculated by using the target efficiency for monitoring and the target load factor, a torque deviation between the target torque for monitoring and the target torque is calculated, and the presence or absence of an abnormality is detected by using the torque deviation.

Hybrid vehicle
If a vehicle speed is less than a predetermined value when a hybrid control mode is a series mode and a charge mode is selected (S10-S14), it is determined whether an SOC of a high voltage battery is less than a predetermined value or not (S16), and when the SOC of the high voltage battery is less than the predetermined value, ignition timing is corrected to be retarded (S18).

Controlling an internal combustion engine operated on gaseous fuel
A method for controlling an internal combustion engine operating on at least partly gaseous fuel is disclosed. The method may include providing a desired burn rate profile corresponding to a desired operation of the internal combustion engine. The method may further include selecting first operating parameters such that an operation of the internal combustion engine with a first gas composition produces a first burn rate profile that corresponds to the desired burn rate profile. The method may also include operating the internal combustion engine with the first operating parameters using a second gas composition. The method may include determining that the second burn rate profile differs from the desired burn rate profile. In addition, the method may include adjusting an operating parameter from among the first operating parameters of the internal combustion engine to approach the desired burn rate profile.
