FUGITIVE GAS DETECTION SYSTEM
A fugitive gas detection system is provided. The system includes a cloud service, a plurality of reach-based components, a plurality of wireless gas sensors. The reach-based components comprise backhauls and gateways. The wireless gas sensors are acted as nodes to acquire sensor data in a local mesh network and the nodes are connected to the cloud service through the reach-based components, one node can transmit the sensor data to other sensor nodes of the local mesh network. The system measures flammable gas levels with speed, economy and accuracy.
Engine with control unit for lean burn operation
An internal combustion engine includes an engine block including a cylinder a piston positioned within the cylinder and configured to reciprocate in the cylinder, an electronic throttle control system comprising a motor and a throttle plate, a fuel system for supplying a controlled amount of fuel to the cylinder including a fuel injector, and an engine control unit coupled to the fuel system and the electronic throttle control system. The engine control unit is configured to determine engine speed data comprising a current engine speed, a previous engine speed, and a desired engine speed and control a fuel injection duration based on the engine speed data.
Controller and control method for internal combustion engine
A controller is configured to perform a process of obtaining an exhaust pressure upstream of a filter inside an exhaust passage and an intake air amount detected by an air flowmeter, when the filter in which a deposition amount of particulate matter is a specified amount is referred to as a reference filter, a calculation process of calculating an exhaust pressure rate that indicates a ratio of the obtained exhaust pressure to an exhaust pressure at the reference filter for the obtained intake air amount, and a setting process of setting the exhaust pressure rate that is maintained at a specific value during engine operation.
Control apparatus for electric vehicle
Closing timing of an intake port is changed without using a variable valve timing mechanism. An electric vehicle includes an engine for electricity generation in which closing timing of an intake port maximizes intake air charging efficiency in a specific revolution speed region, a sensor which outputs a signal related to a revolution speed of the engine, a controller which drives the engine at a revolution speed based on the signal of the sensor, a requested electricity generation amount being satisfied at the revolution speed, and a motor which applies a positive or negative torque to the engine. When the engine is driven in a revolution speed region other than the specific revolution speed region, the controller uses the motor to apply a positive or a negative torque to the engine in an intake stroke to change the closing timing of the intake port to increase intake air charging efficiency.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DEICING AN ENGINE
Methods and systems for deicing an engine air intake filter and an engine throttle are described. The methods and systems may include activating an evaporative emissions system heater and a pump to de-ice the engine air intake filter and the engine throttle. The deicing may be performed when an engine of a vehicle is not operating.
Data processing method
A data processing method of variable measurement data in an electronic control unit (ECU) is provided. The ECU that processes the data processing method calculates a filtering frequency based on a delay time frequency based on a transmission timing cycle of the measurement data and a processing timing cycle of the measurement data in the ECU, and also based on a pulsation frequency of the measurement data, and removes, from the measurement data, a component of the filtering frequency calculated in the calculation of the filtering frequency.
Method and device for regulating the pressure of the combustion gas and/or exhaust gas of a machine
A method and a device for regulating the pressure of the combustion gas and/or exhaust gas of a machine, in particular an internal combustion engine. The combustion gas is supplied to the machine via a supply line and is discharged via an exhaust gas line, and the supply line and/or the exhaust gas line has a regulating device, the regulating device delimiting a pressure-regulated section of the supply line and/or the exhaust gas line, and wherein the pressure in each pressure-regulated section is measured at more than one point.
Engine system and method of controlling the engine system
In an engine system including an engine, and an exhaust gas recirculation device including a communicating pipe that communicates an exhaust pipe of the engine with an intake pipe, and a valve provided in the communicating pipe, and an electronic control unit, and its control method, the electronic control unit estimates the pressure in the intake pipe as an estimated intake pressure, and performs a jamming diagnosis to determine whether foreign matter is stuck in the valve, by comparing an intake pressure difference between a detected intake pressure and the estimated intake pressure with a threshold value, when a diagnosis condition including an opening change condition that the target opening becomes equal to or larger than a first predetermined opening and then becomes equal to or smaller than a second predetermined opening that is smaller than the first predetermined opening is satisfied.
Engine assembly having a turbocharger
An engine assembly for a vehicle includes an engine and a turbocharger operatively connected thereto. A controller is configured to, based on at least one performance parameter associated with the vehicle, execute a pre-acceleration control sequence including: delaying ignition within the engine's cylinders to increase a temperature of exhaust gas discharged to the turbocharger and reduce a torque of the engine; deactivating at least one cylinder in a predetermined pattern to reduce the torque of the engine; actuating a throttle valve to increase air flow to the engine to (i) increase the torque of the engine, and (ii) increase a volume of exhaust gas discharged to the turbocharger; and increasing a volume of fuel injected by the fuel injectors into the cylinders so as to increase the torque of the engine thereby compensating at least in part reduction of the torque of the engine.
Method of controlling engine and transmission of hybrid vehicle
A method of controlling an engine and a transmission of a hybrid vehicle includes steps of: determining whether the vehicle starts, determining an engine RPM and a gear stage of a transmission if the vehicle has started, determining whether the engine RPM has reached an engine speed control point, determining an engine target RPM and an engine target RPM slope of the vehicle when it is determined that the engine RPM has reached the engine speed control point, controlling the engine RPM of the vehicle to follow the engine target RPM and the engine target RPM slope, determining whether the engine RPM has slipped compared to the target engine RPM, and performing PID control to follow the engine target RPM if the engine RPM slips compared to the engine target RPM.
