ENGINE CONTROL DEVICE
20220136468 · 2022-05-05 ·

A device is provided, which controls a vehicle-mounted engine provided with an engine body with a plurality of cylinders, a plurality of independent intake passages, each connected to the engine body so as to communicate with a combustion chamber of each cylinder via an intake port, and a surge tank connected to an upstream end of each independent intake passage. The device includes a phase changer, an ambient temperature sensor, and a controller configured to acquire an amount of condensate water existing in the surge tank. When the engine is stopped in a situation where the ambient temperature is lower than a given reference temperature and the condensate water amount is above a given reference amount, the controller controls the phase changer so that a lift amount of an intake valve in each cylinder of the stopped engine becomes outside a given minute lift range.

Method of controlling opening speed of purge valve according to purge gas concentration and active purge system thereof

A method controls an opening speed of a purge valve according to the purge gas concentration implemented by an active purge system (APS). A purge controller varies, when a valve opening speed of a purge control solenoid valve (PCSV) is controlled, the valve opening speed of the PCSV using any one among a low concentration rate coefficient, a high concentration rate coefficient, a coolant temperature rate coefficient, and an ambient air temperature rate coefficient, and performs the purge control using a difference between the valve opening speeds, and thus dualizes the valve opening speed of the PCSV according to a hydrocarbon (HC) concentration, thereby stably controlling the air-fuel ratio, and simultaneously, securing the purge rate and relatively stably control an air-fuel ratio in a state of high concentration purge execution.

Method and system for rationalizing a temperature within an engine system

Systems and methods for determining whether or not a temperature sensor is degraded are presented. In one example, a determination of degradation of the temperature sensor is based on a difference between a temperature determined from output of the temperature sensor and an estimate of a temperature of a pressure sensor.

Methods and systems for improving fuel injection repeatability

Methods and systems are provided for balancing injector fueling. In one example, a method includes learning portions of a transfer function shape by firing a plurality of injectors at PWs of a set of PWs following a reference injection.

Vehicle control system

A method that may include obtaining environmental parameters related to one or more routes of a trip for a first vehicle system, and determining one or more expenditure sections and one or more charging sections of the one or more routes by predicting where the first vehicle system will consume energy and where the first vehicle system will generate the energy, respectively, during the trip based on the environmental parameters. A first trip plan may be obtained for the trip based on the one or more expenditure sections and the one or more charging sections, the trip plan designating one or more operational settings for the first vehicle system for travel during the trip.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC WAKEUP

Systems and methods for waking a controller from a sleep mode are described. In one example, the controller may be woke in response to an estimated amount of time that it will take for a temperature in an evaporative emissions system to be within a threshold temperature of ambient temperature.

ENGINE CONTROL DEVICE

An engine control device is provided, which includes a blowby gas passage connecting an engine body to an intake passage so that blowby gas leaked from a combustion chamber is recirculated to the intake passage, a boost pressure changer configured to change a boost pressure of a turbocharger, and a controller configured to set a target boost pressure and control the boost pressure changer. The turbocharger includes a turbine which is provided to an exhaust passage and driven by exhaust gas, and a compressor which is provided to the intake passage and rotary driven by the turbine to boost intake air. The blowby gas passage is connected to the intake passage near the compressor. The controller corrects the target boost pressure when an ambient temperature is below a given determination temperature, to be higher than the target boost pressure when the ambient temperature is at or above the determination temperature.

Control device for vehicle

A CPU prompts a user to drive a vehicle to a repair shop by operating a display when an amount of PM deposited in a GPF increases. When a regeneration request for the GPF is input from a shop-side terminal in the repair shop, the CPU performs a regeneration process in a state in which the vehicle stops. The CPU controls a temperature of the GPF such that the temperature at the time of execution of the regeneration process becomes lower when an opening/closing member is in a closed state than when the opening/closing member is in an open state.

METHOD FOR CONTROLLING POWER-TRANSMISSION GEAR, SYSTEM, AND FOREST MACHINE

A method and system for controlling a power-transmission gear in a forest machine having a harvester head includes measuring a selected property of at least two trees with aid of observation means on a basis of electromagnetic radiation at a distance from the trees being measured to create measurement data. The power-transmission gear is controlled by software on the basis of the measurement data to change a state of the power-transmission gear to optimize energy required to perform an operation of an operating device. The operating device uses the energy transmitted by the power-transmission gear (after the change in state of the power-transmission gear so that operation of the operating device create a change in the attitude, location, or state of the harvester head.
