Method for controlling an internal combustion engine, a computer program, a computer readable medium, a control unit, an internal combustion engine, and a vehicle
The invention relates to a method to control an internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine comprises a cylinder, an exhaust guide arranged to guide an exhaust flow from the cylinder through a turbine, and a bypass guide arranged to bypass a bypass flow from the cylinder past the turbine. The method comprises the step to determine a value of at least one engine operation parameter. The method is characterized by the step to determine a target value of an exhaust performance parameter depending on the determined engine operation parameter value. Further, the method comprises, depending on the determined target exhaust performance parameter value, the step to control the exhaust flow through the exhaust guide and the step to control the bypass flow through the bypass guide.
REMOTE CONTROLLED ENGINE REVVING
Methods and systems are provided for user controlled engine revving. In one example, the engine may be revved to a peak speed according to a target revving sequence in response to a user-initiated command. A revving sound may be provided in response to an input device, without demanding manual depression of an accelerator pedal.
Engine idle reduction control apparatus
An engine idle reduction control apparatus includes a first data acquiring unit, a detecting unit, a first determining unit, a control unit, and a second determining unit. The detecting unit is configured to detect a traffic circle, on the basis of traveling environment data acquired by the first data acquiring unit. The control unit is configured to execute an idle reduction, in a case where the first determining unit determines that a control condition for a pre-stop idle reduction control is satisfied. The second determining unit is configured to determine whether a prohibition condition for the pre-stop idle reduction control is satisfied, in a case where the traffic circle is detected. The control unit is configured to prohibit the idle reduction even in a case where the control condition is determined to be satisfied, on a condition that the prohibition condition is determined to be satisfied.
Control method for hybrid vehicle and control device for hybrid vehicle
A hybrid vehicle control method for a hybrid vehicle is provided for a drive system including an internal combustion engine, a generator that is driven by the internal combustion engine, and a battery that is charged with electric power generated by the generator. A target power generated by the generator is set and the target engine output is calculated for the internal combustion engine according to the target generated power. The air density in the environment in which the vehicle travels is detected. The target engine output is corrected based on the detected air density with respect to the decrease in air density, and the generated power of the generator is made to follow the target generated power. The execution of air density correction is permitted or stopped depending on an operating state of the drive system.
ENGINE SYSTEM
An engine system, includes a bypass line branched from an intake line upstream of an intercooler and joining the intake line downstream of the intercooler; a condensed water separation line branched from the intake line upstream of the intercooler and joining the intake line upstream of the intercooler; a condensed water separation module provided in the condensed water separation line and configured to separate condensed water contained in a mixture flowing through the condensed water separation line; and a four-way valve provided in the intake line between a compressor and the intercooler, and selectively operated so that the mixture of the outside air and the recirculation gas introduced to the upstream of the intercooler passes through the intercooler, flows through the bypass line, or flows through the condensed water separation line.
Control device and method for discharging condensed water
An embodiment control device for discharging condensed water includes a signal receiver configured to receive a power-starting off signal, a temperature receiver configured to receive outdoor air temperature information, and a controller configured to perform a condensed water discharge mode maintaining an engine under an idling condition during a preset power-starting maintenance period in response to the power-starting off signal being received by the signal receiver and the outdoor air temperature information received from the temperature receiver being equal to or lower than a set temperature value.

METHOD FOR OPERATING AN ENGINE
Systems and methods for controlling fuel factions delivered to different cylinders are provided. In one example, a controller is configured to, during a single engine cycle and responsive to a first condition, deliver a lower fraction of a first fuel into a donor cylinder in comparison to a fraction of the first fuel being injected into a non-donor cylinder and deliver a higher fraction of a second fuel into the donor cylinder in comparison to a fraction of the second fuel being injected into the non-donor cylinder.
Solar heated canister
