MICRONEEDLE PATCHES AND METHODS
Microneedle patches and systems, and methods for use of such patches and systems. In one aspect, a microneedle patch is provided including a tab portion for handling the microneedle patch. In another aspect, a system is provided including a microneedle patch and a tray for housing the microneedle patch. In still another aspect, various indicators providing for providing feedback prior to, during, and after administration of the microneedle patch are provided. Advantageously, the described microneedle patches and systems provide improved handling and ease of application of the microneedle patches to skin for the delivery of therapeutic agents.
Palm Activated Drug Delivery Device
Disclosed is a device for the parenteral delivery of a medication, such as a drug. The device includes upper and lower housings in which the upper housing is configured to move relative to the lower housing as a result of application of an external force to permit the user of the device to control the rate at which the drug is administered.
ERGONOMIC CATHETER HANDLE
A handle for maneuvering a catheter, comprises: a handle body having an outer surface and an inner surface, the inner surface defining a tubular passage extending along a longitudinal axis from a proximal end to a distal end of the handle body. The handle includes a coupling mechanism at the proximal end and a strain relief sleeve at the distal end of the handle body. The strain relief sleeve is adapted to irremovably secure a flexible catheter sheath to the handle; and the coupling mechanism is adapted to detachably connect the handle to a patient interface unit (PIU). The handle body is ergonomically sized and shaped for grasping by a single hand of a user, and is configured to linearly engage to and disengage from the PIU via the coupling mechanism. When the handle is attached to the PIU, an imaging core moves linearly inside the tubular passage without bending.
Autoinjector Housing
An autoinjector housing includes a cylindrical case enclosing an interior space capable of accommodating an autoinjector mechanism, a cylindrical cap removably attachable to the cylindrical case, and optionally a cylindrical overmolding. An exterior cross-sectional shape of the cylindrical case is oblong along at least a portion of its axis. An exterior cross-sectional shape of the cylindrical cap may be varied along its axis such that there is a gradual decrease in cross-sectional area from an open end toward a closed end and a step-up in cross-sectional area approaching the closed end. An end of the cylindrical case may be covered by the cylindrical overmolding, which may have non-uniform radial thickness and may be made of a material having elasticity.
INTRAVENOUS PRESSURE ASSEMBLY
An intravenous IV pressure assembly includes a body, an outlet port disposed on the body and a connector coupled to the outlet port, the connector being configured to couple with a fluid reservoir and the IV pressure assembly configured as a pressurized container. IV sets with an IV pressure assembly and methods of operating an IV pressure assembly are also provided.
PORTABLE OXYGEN FLOW REGULATOR
An apparatus for controlling the flow of oxygen to a patient comprises an outer housing extending between first and second ends having a passage therethrough. The housing composes a first portion extending from the first end towards the second end and a second portion extending from the second end towards the first end wherein the second portion is threadably rotatable relative to the first portion so as to longitudinally displaced relative to the first portion under rotation thereof so as to adjust at least a portion of the passage extending therethrough adjusting a flow capacity of the passage. The apparatus further comprises connectors at each of the first and second ends operable to connect to oxygen conduits to fluidically conned the oxygen conduits to the passage through the housing.
Infusion set
A system for providing the collection of advanced, improved, and novel new components and elements in a single package to simplify assembly and use of the infusion set by the user, including one or more of an exemplary pushbutton-type inserter, squeeze-type inserter, contact-type inserter, skin pinching-type inserter, folding retraction-type inserter, and/or multistage-type inserter (700) having at least one reusable stage, an exemplary set (350) having an adhesion means with two or more user-selectable degrees of adhesion strength, a self-sealing tube connection means, a lens feature to view a site beneath the set, exemplary tube management and connection elements (450), insulin supply (475), adhesion concealment means (500), finger loops on the inserter and site preparation wipes or sprays (550) which can be provided as part of the inserter. The system can further include an exemplary package (12) which can hold a number of sets that can be easily released and retrieved from the tray by an inserter, an exemplary insertion needle handle and shroud, an exemplary squeeze-type latch between an upper portion and a lower portion of the set, and/or a tool removable upper portion of the set.
Protective Cover for a Medical Device
A medical device may include a distal connector, which may include a first lever arm and a second lever arm. A distal end of the first lever arm and a first end of the second lever arm may include a first protrusion and a second protrusion, respectively. The distal connector may include a blunt cannula disposed between the first lever arm and the second lever arm. The medical device may include a cover coupled to the distal connector and having an annular wall surrounding the blunt cannula. The first protrusion and the second protrusion may contact at least one catch disposed on an outer surface of the annular wall. A proximal end of the first lever arm and a proximal end of the second lever arm may be configured to be pinched together to remove the first protrusion and the second protrusion from the at least one catch.
Palm activated drug delivery device
A device configured to administer a medication can comprise a lower housing that includes a housing latch. The device can further comprise a needle guard that is movable relative to the lower housing along a first direction from a first position to a second position so as to expose a needle, and an upper housing supported relative to the lower housing. The upper housing can be configured to move with respect to the lower housing along a second direction from a pre-use position to a dispensed position. The housing latch can releasably interfere with the upper housing when the upper housing is in the pre-use position so as to prevent the upper housing from moving toward the dispensed position, and the movement of the needle guard toward the second position, causes the interference to be removed, thereby allowing the upper housing to move toward the second position.
VAPE PEN AND VAPING FLUID DELIVERY CONTAINER PROTECTION DEVICE AND DECORATIVE COVER
A protective sleeve (100) is provided for vape fluid cartridges or ampules (130). Open ends (103, 104) facilitate insertion of a vape fluid cartridge (130). One or more apertures (120A, 120B) may be provided to permit viewing of cartridge fluid level. The sleeve (100) may be formed from an elastic material, such as silicone. An elevated section (110) may be provided to inhibit rolling and/or permit ornamentation.
