Drive-Enhanceable Handheld Elongate Medical Device Advancer and Related Systems, Devices and Methods
A drive-enhanceable handheld advancer is provided for advancing an elongate device through a pathway defined in an advancer body that includes a rotatable manual thumbwheel partially embedded in the body for receiving a user-exerted manual control movement from a thumb, and a manual drive having a nip, a transmission, and a reverse clutch. The transmission operatively connects the thumbwheel to the nip for driving advancement, and the reverse clutch maintains a first interference grip connection between the nip and the elongate device. The manual control thumbwheel can move inward responsive to user-applied grip movements to increase grip with the elongate device. The reverse clutch applies augmented force from grip movements to the nip for increasing the grip drive connection, which can be applied at a different angle from the inward movements. The reverse clutch can include slotted pivot supports for the thumbwheel and drive rollers on the advancer body.
Girth adjustable device
A girth adjustable device for dilation and stretch of body orifices for medical applications, massage, body orifice improvement and activities pleasurable to the body, that can repeatedly, gradually increase and decrease a uniform and sustainable pressure against the entire lateral surface area of body orifices. The girth adjustable device comprises at least one controller, a housing, at least one threaded shaft, at least one module, a plurality of shaft members and at least one sheath. The part of the girth adjustable device that has to be inserted into body orifices is the shaft. In a body orifice, the user increases and decreases the girth size of the shaft via the controller.
Contamination free liquid-spray dispensing apparatus and method of use
The present invention is a fluid dispensing apparatus, and method of use, e.g. for mouthwash and medicine, for dispensing a sterile liquid in single doses to prevent bacterial growth from un-used portions pored back into the apparatus. The apparatus has a hollow flexible cap enclosure surrounding a one-way valve inside of a bladder and a push rubber surface for liquid release. When the cap is removed, both the container body and the cap remain sealed from exposure to contaminates. Liquid is first dispensed from the container by inverting the container until a quantity of sterile liquid collects in the cap. The container is then positioned in an upright position and the fluid filled cap is removed from the container. The cap is then inverted again and a pushbutton pressed to dispense sterile liquid from a cap spray nozzle without requiring the user's lips to touch the cap.
PRESSURE JACKETS AND SYRINGE RETENTION FEATURES FOR ANGIOGRAPHY FLUID INJECTORS
An assembly for retaining a pressure jacket (134) and a syringe (132) on a fluid injector, the assembly including a base plate (1902) comprising a body (1904); at least a first retaining arm (1910a) and a second retaining arm (1910b) operatively mounted on the body of the base plate, the first retaining arm having a first retaining surface at a distal end thereof and the second retaining arm having a second retaining surface at a distal end thereof, wherein the first retaining surface and the second retaining surface are configured for abutting a distal surface of at least one of the pressure jacket and the syringe; a linkage assembly operatively connected to at least one of the first retaining arm and the second retaining arm, wherein the linkage assembly is configured to move at least one of the first retaining arm and the second retaining arm between at least a first open position and a closed position.
Ergonomic steering handle
Catheter steering handles that are ergonomically designed to enable an operator to reduce hand fatigue. Various ergonomic aspects of the disclosed steering handles include geometries that more naturally conform to the palm of the hand and that enable the hand to be held in a natural, low stress posture during operation of the steering handle. In another aspect of the disclosure, the catheter steering handle is configured so that the operator can release or partially release the grip on the handle, thereby enabling the operator to relax and flex the hand, thereby reducing fatigue.
AUTO-INJECTOR AND RELATED METHODS OF USE
An injection device may include a housing, a container disposed within the housing, the container enclosing a fluid and having a first end and a second end, a conduit movable relative to the container, wherein the conduit is not in fluid communication with the fluid enclosed by the container while in a first position, and is in fluid communication with the fluid enclosed by the container and configured to deliver the fluid from the container to a patient while in a second position, and a lock that is removable from the housing, the lock having a first portion and a second portion.
Intubation stylets
Certain embodiments are directed to a laryngoscopy device and methods of use thereof, the device having a curved, hollow stylet with a handle and a flexible bougie contained at least partially within the hollow stylet, the bougie being extendable out of the end of the stylet for use in guidance of a hollow endotracheal tube.
RETRACTABLE NEEDLE SYRINGE WITH UNITARY PROPELLANT RELEASE MODULE
A modular retractable needle assembly having a unitary propellant release structure is provided. The modular retractable needle assembly can be coupled to a suitable syringe. A modular filler needle can be provided that is engageable to the syringe. Kits comprising the modular retractable needle assembly, one or more syringes, and a modular filler needle are provided.
Oral irrigation device
The oral irrigation/liquid delivery device provides flow controlled fluid to body areas specifically the mouth, or parts of body or other non-body areas via pump device or connection to water source through a wand handle with bulbous smooth head with multiple openings/orifices for the fluid to flow to ensure that no high-pressure jets result (unless within the design) and can be used in confined area; idea for irrigating or rinsing the mouth after jaw surgery or other situation where it is not possible or recommended to use a high-pressure “water pick” type of device; allows user who may have a problem sucking in water to rinse to have fluids safely delivered to mouth to clear and clean it; allows for the delivery of medicated and or other liquid delivery of water or any other liquid to rinse or even imbibe; said device could also deliver feeding fluids; optional connection via any pump or faucet diverter system to delivery fluids, including option to have a siphon mix of one solution along with another with the secondary solution being introduced to the flow as a result of the pump mechanism or a siphon mechanism based upon the flow of a fluid that is the primary solution. Optionally, a rubber or other suitable tube or hose may be connected between the wand and the tip/connecting point to the pump or fluid delivery device. The same device or its components could be incorporated into other devices such as water bottles or syringe ends.
SEAL-FORMING STRUCTURE, POSITIONING AND STABILIZING STRUCTURE AND DIFFUSER VENT FOR PATIENT INTERFACE
A patient interface to deliver a flow of air at a positive pressure with respect to ambient air pressure to an entrance to the patient's airways to ameliorate sleep disordered breathing includes a frame assembly and a cushion assembly configured to removably and repeatably connect to the frame assembly. The frame assembly and the cushion assembly form at least part of a plenum chamber pressurizable to a therapeutic pressure. The cushion assembly comprises a one-piece construction including a seal-forming structure configured to form a seal with a region of a patient's face surrounding the entrance to the patient's airways and a frame connection structure configured to removably and repeatably connect the cushion assembly to the frame assembly. The seal-forming structure comprises a first elastomeric material and the frame connection structure comprises a second elastomeric material, the first elastomeric material comprising a lower durometer or hardness than the second elastomeric material.
