Method for the conversion of insects into nutrient streams and products resulting therefrom
The present invention relates to a method for converting insects into nutrient streams, such as a puree, an enzymatically hydrolysed puree, a fat fraction and a protein fraction. The invention further relates to the (hydrolysed) puree and to the fractions obtainable by said methods and to their use as a food or feed product or as an ingredient therefore. The invention also relates to a method for converting insect larvae into a composition with anti-oxidant properties. Thus, the invention also relates to a method for converting insect larvae into an antioxidant composition. In addition, the invention relates to a composition with anti-oxidant properties obtainable by said method and to the use of the composition as a health promoting food ingredient or as a feed ingredient.
ENCAPSULATION OF NUTRITIONAL AND/OR COMPOUNDS FOR CONTROLLED RELEASE AND ENHANCING THEIR BIOAVAILABILITY BY LIMITING CHEMICAL OR MICROBIAL EXPOSURE
Described are compositions comprising one or more nutrients encapsulated in a controlled release lipid matrix for feeding an animal.

PRODUCTS AND METHODS FOR INHIBITING RESPIRATORY CONDITIONS
The present disclosure describes products formulated to inhibit respiratory conditions and symptoms in animals, along with associated methods of providing such products to the animals. Feeding methods involve providing animals with a feed product that includes a direct-fed microbial composition, at least one phytogenic compound, and/or at least one vitamin. The direct-fed microbial composition includes one or more strains of Bacillus. The animals can include swine or cattle at risk of developing, or already afflicted with, a respiratory condition. Inhibition of respiratory stress can reduce mortality rates and medication administration relative to animals fed the same diet but lacking the feed product.
Additive composition for ruminant feeds
Dispersion type feed additive compositions for ruminants, containing (A) at least one selected from hydrogenated vegetable oil and hydrogenated animal oil each having a melting point of higher than 50° C. and lower than 90° C., (B) not less than 0.01 wt % and not more than 6 wt % of a surfactant, (C) not less than 16 wt % and not more than 72 wt % of a biologically active substance (excluding L-lysine and a salt thereof), and (D) not less than 1 wt % and not more than 40 wt % of L-lysine or a salt thereof, contain a biologically active substance at a high concentration, show high protection in the rumen, and are also superior in dissolution in the intestinal tract.
CARRIER FOR THE ORAL ABSORPTION OF AN ACTIVE SUBSTANCE BY ANIMALS, METHOD FOR PREPARING SAME AND USES THEREOF
The present invention relates to a carrier for facilitating the oral ingestion of at least one active substance by animals, characterized in that it comprises: at least one bead comprising said at least one active substance, a gelled appetizing matrix surrounding said at least one bead, the pH of said matrix being less than 4, wherein the Aw (residual water) of said matrix and of said at least one bead is identical and from 0.4 to 0.9. The present invention also relates to a method for preparing such a carrier, and also to the uses thereof. The present invention also relates to a non-therapeutic method for feeding animals, in particular dogs and cats, by means of this carrier.

Process for the preparation of powdered probiotic formulations for monogastric animals
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of dry lyophilized powdered formulations of probiotic bacteria for monogastric animal (for example poultry birds) using a combination of different polymers through the process of encapsulation. The resulting lyophilized powders of probiotic bacteria are having increased viability during animal feed processing, storage and upon transfer to the monogastric animal's digestive system.
