Engine
An engine includes: a crankcase; a cover that is connected to the crankcase at a mating surface of the cover inclined toward an inner side in a vehicle width direction in going downward when the engine is mounted to a vehicle body, the cover covering a protruding end of a rotary shaft; and attachment bosses that are formed to be integral with the cover, have a predetermined height from the mating surface, and accept fastening members for fastening the cover to the crankcase. Accordingly, when mounted on a two-wheeled motor vehicle, the engine can restrain protrusion in the vehicle width direction and can be disposed at a position as low as possible with reference to the vehicle.
ENGINE WITH ROTATING VALVE ASSEMBLY
An engine with rotating assembly is disclosed. The engine includes a block defining a cylinder bore; a crankshaft mounted for rotation in the block; a piston disposed in the cylinder bore; a connecting rod interconnecting the piston to the crankshaft; and a cylinder head coupled to the block having a combustion chamber aligned with the cylinder bore and having an intake opening and an exhaust opening communicating therewith; an intake port; an exhaust port; a rotatable intake valve barrel disposed between the intake opening and the intake port; and a rotatable exhaust valve barrel disposed between the exhaust opening and the exhaust port. A first electric motor is connected to the intake valve barrel and a second electric motor is connected to the exhaust valve barrel, the first electric motor rotates the intake valve barrel and second electric motor rotates the exhaust valve barrel independently of the intake valve barrel.
BEARING CAP, INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A bearing cap according to one embodiment of this disclosure includes: a concave part that supports a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine; first bosses that are disposed one on each side of the concave part and each have a first bolt hole; and second bosses that are disposed one on each side of a bearing cap main body having the concave part and the first bosses so as to flank the bearing cap main body and each have a second bolt hole. The bearing cap is fixed to a first member of the internal combustion engine by first bolts inserted into the first bolt holes, and to a second member of the internal combustion engine by second bolts inserted into the second bolt holes. At least the pair of second bosses have higher rigidity than a frame.
GEAR COVER AND GEAR HOUSING SYSTEM
A gear housing assembly includes a gear housing and a gear cover for an internal combustion engine. The gear housing includes gear housing drillings, the gear cover includes gear cover drillings, wherein the gear cover is attached to the gear housing such that one of the gear cover drillings is fluidly connected with one of the gear housing drillings via a gasketed interface to supply oil through a debris screen to two fuel pumps mounted on the gear housing. A serviceable access cover is mounted on the gear cover. An idler gear is assembled onto an idler shaft to form a sub-assembly, wherein the idler gear is positioned between the serviceable access cover and the gear housing. The idler shaft is supported by the bushing in the access cover and two bushings mounted in the gear housing to provide radial and thrust load bearing capabilities.
ENGINE
An engine (E) includes a crankcase body (19) including a bottom plate (19a) and a tubular portion (19c), a crankcase cover (20) covering a case opening portion (19b) of the crankcase body (19), a crankshaft (2), a cylinder base portion (21a) located inside the crankcase body (19), a cylinder block (21b) located outside the crankcase body (19), and a camshaft (25) located inside the crankcase body (19) and between the bottom plate (19a) and cylinder base portion (21a). The crankcase body (19) has the bottom plate (19a) detachably attached to the tubular portion (19c).
Work vehicle
A work vehicle includes an engine, a particulate filter, and an oil separator. The particulate filter is connected to the engine to collect particulate matters contained in exhaust gas from the engine. The particulate filter is provided to overlap with the engine when viewed in a height direction along a height of the work vehicle. The oil separator is connected to the engine via a blow-by-gas discharge pipe to catch a liquid component in blow-by-gas from the engine. The oil separator is provided between the engine and the particulate filter to overlap with the particulate filter when viewed in the height direction.
ENGINE
An engine is provided with: a crank case that has a first crank shaft insertion hole and a second crank shaft insertion hole along the vertical direction; a crank shaft that is inserted into the first and second shaft insertion holes; and a cylinder unit that extends in the front-rear direction from the crank case. The cylinder unit is provided with a cylinder base that is positioned inside the crank case, and a cylinder block that is positioned outside the crank case. The cylinder unit is detachably attached to the crank case.
Closure element for closing a housing in a heat-transfer-fluid pump contained in an engine
A closure element is provided for closing a recess in a heat-transfer-fluid pump that is contained in an engine of a vehicle. In particular, in a cylinder block of the engine, the closure element including an element for guiding the flow of heat transfer fluid to an inlet of the pump.
Engine device
An engine device having a flywheel housing (7) in which a flywheel that is rotated integrally with a crankshaft (5) is accommodated on one side portion (303) of a cylinder block (6), in which the cylinder block (6) is integrally formed with housing bracket portions (304) each protruding in a direction away from the crankshaft (5) from each of opposite side portions (301) of the cylinder block (6) extending along a crankshaft axial direction (300), the housing bracket portions (304) protruding from end portions of the opposite side portions (301) close to the one side portion (303) A space surrounded by the one side portion (303), the housing bracket portions (304), and the flywheel housing (7) constitutes a gear case (330) for accommodating therein a gear train.
