A FILTER FOR A HUMIDIFICATION SYSTEM
Filters for surgical procedures including a fluid pathway to transport fluid, such as smoke and/or gases, exhausted from a surgical site, a humidity regulating element located along the fluid pathway, and a filter element located downstream of the humidity regulating element such that the humidity regulating element and the filter element are in fluid communication with each other. The humidity regulating element is configured to remove or reduce humidity from the smoke and/or gases exhausted from the surgical site prior to the smoke and/or gases reaching the filter element. The filter element is configured to filter particulate matter from the smoke and/or gases exhausted from the surgical site.
Device for dispensing fluid product
A fluid dispenser device comprising: a reservoir (10) containing fluid; a dispenser head (20) that is provided with a dispenser orifice (21); dispenser means (25) for dispensing at least a fraction of said fluid through said dispenser orifice (21); and passage means (40) for connecting said reservoir (10) to said dispenser orifice (21) on actuation of said dispenser means (25), said device further comprising at least one porous insert (50) that is made out of porous material so as to suck up, in particular by capillarity, and to trap, at least in part, any residual fluid after actuation; said reservoir (10) including a stopper (25) that closes said reservoir (10) in leaktight manner before actuation.
FILTER CARTRIDGE ASSEMBLIES FOR MANAGING FLUID AND HUMIDITY IN ENDOSCOPIC SURGERY
A filter cartridge for surgical gas delivery systems includes a filter housing configured to be seated in a filter cartridge interface of a surgical gas delivery system, with a plurality of flow paths defined through the filter housing including at least one evacuation/return flow path and at least one insufflation/sensing flow path. A humidity filter element is included in the evacuation/return flow path for removing humidity from an evacuation/return lumen of a tube set. The humidity filter element can include a sintered polymer material configured to provide tortuous flow paths therethrough to condense humidity out of a flow through the humidity filter element.
Wound dressing
A method and apparatus are disclosed for dressing a wound. The apparatus comprises a sealing layer comprising at least one orifice, an absorbent layer over the sealing layer, absorbing wound exude and a liquid impermeable, gas permeable filter layer over the absorbent layer.
MEDICAL COMPONENTS WITH THERMOPLASTIC MOLDINGS BONDED TO SUBSTRATES
A molded member containing a thermoplastic material and a substrate, wherein at least a portion of the substrate is coupled to the thermoplastic material via a silicon-containing linker, and a respiratory apparatus containing the molded member are disclosed. A respiratory apparatus containing a molded member, wherein the molded member contains a thermosetting material and a substrate, and wherein at least a portion of the substrate is coupled to the thermosetting material via a silicon-containing linker is also disclosed.
Medical components with microstructures for humidification and condensate management
New medical circuit components and methods for forming such components are disclosed. These components include microstructures for humidification and/or condensate management. The disclosed microstructures can be incorporated into a variety of components, including tubes (e.g., inspiratory breathing tubes and expiratory breathing tubes and other tubing between various elements of a breathing circuit, such as ventilators, humidifiers, filters, water traps, sample lines, connectors, gas analyzers, and the like), Y-connectors, catheter mounts, humidifiers, and patient interfaces (e.g., masks for covering the nose and face, nasal masks, cannulas, nasal pillows, etc.), floats, probes, and sensors in a variety of medical circuits.
DIALYSIS PATIENT CONNECTOR AND METHOD FOR PRIMING
A patient connector for dialysis is disclosed. In an example, a patient connector includes a housing including an inlet and an outlet and defining at least one aperture. The patient connector also includes a seal initially blocking the outlet and a hydrophobic filter covering the at least one aperture of the housing. The patient connector further includes a check valve positioned and arranged to prevent air from being vented from the housing via the at least one aperture and through the hydrophobic filter when the housing is under atmospheric pressure or negative pressure. The check valve is configured to allow air to be vented from the housing via the at least one aperture and through the hydrophobic filter when the housing is under positive pressure.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LOCKING A CONTROLLED MEDICAL THERAPY DEVICE
A system and method for controlling a locking medication dispensing device is presented herein. The dispensing device can include a housing portion and a nozzle portion that is depressible into the housing to administer a medication. The device can include a vial lock to secure a medicinal vial within the device and a nozzle lock to control administration of medication. The dispensing device can further include sensors for identifying a user such as a biometric sensor and/or micro gesture sensors. Parameters for locking the nozzle and/or vial can be configured via a physician device. Reminders, user pairing, and other user communications can be facilitated via a patient device. The dispensing device can include partial depression sensors and lock-out features to further prevent tampering. A top-loading dispensing device can include a disposable nozzle.
WEARABLE INTRANASAL CLIP APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USE
A wearable intranasal device that dispenses concentrated oils, specifically Aromatherapy and Cannabidiol or CBD, allowing each to evaporate naturally through the nasal cavity providing temporary relief of a variety of symptoms these products have been positively found to impact. The device is a single unit consisting of two barrels on both ends joined by a bridging center arch and which will hug the septum of the user ergonomically not causing any irritation to the user. Each barrel receives a cotton wick which will hold the concentrated oil(s).
OUTFLOW COLLECTION SYSTEMS FOR HYSTEROSCOPIC SURGICAL PROCEDURES
A collection system for collecting outflow from a hysteroscopic surgical procedure includes a surgical drape configured to collect liquid, a collection vessel, a vacuum source, a drape line, a vacuum line, and a filter assembly. The drape line is connected between the surgical drape and the collection vessel. A liquid flow path is defined from the surgical drape, through the drape line, and to the collection vessel. The vacuum line is connected between the vacuum source and the collection vessel. The vacuum source is configured to establish suction to draw liquid from the surgical drape along the liquid flow path. The filter assembly is disposed along the along the liquid flow path and includes a hydrophilic membrane configured to permit passage of liquid along the liquid flow path and impede passage of air along the liquid flow path.
