FILTER FOR INFUSION MEDICAL LINES
20210046243 · 2021-02-18 · ·

A filter for infusion medical lines including a flattened box-like body provided inside which is a plate-shaped element formed on whose one or both of the opposite faces are respective ribs defining inner channels. Arranged on the ribs are respective filtering hydrophilic membranes which separate the channels from respective interspaces delimited by a pair of half-shells. The interspaces are placed in communication with the inlet connector, the channels are placed in communication with the outlet fitting and the interspaces are placed in communication with the outside through vent openings arranged on the end walls of the box-like body.

IV membrane attachment systems and methods

An intravenous delivery system may have a liquid source containing a liquid, tubing, and an anti-run-dry membrane positioned such that the liquid, flowing form the liquid source to the tubing, passes through the anti-run-dry membrane. The anti-run-dry membrane may be positioned within an exterior wall of a drip unit, and may be secured to a seat of the exterior wall by an attachment component. The attachment component may have various forms, such as a secondary exterior wall that cooperates with the exterior wall to define a drip chamber, a washer positioned such that the anti-run-dry membrane is between the washer and the seat, and an adhesive ring formed of a pressure sensitive adhesive and secured to the anti-run-dry membrane and the seat via compression. Interference features may protrude inward from the exterior wall or outward from the anti-run-dry membrane to help keep the anti-run-dry membrane in place.

DEVICE FOR REGULATING LIQUID MEDICINE SUPPLY AND LIQUID MEDICINE INJECTION APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME
20210038809 · 2021-02-11 · ·

The present invention provides a device for regulating liquid medicine supply, wherein air that exists in a liquid medicine or between portions of a liquid medicine is removed in advance by an air removal filter provided on a discharge path in the device so that priming as a preparatory operation for injection of the liquid medicine into a patient can be accelerated and it is possible to reduce an unnecessary loss of the liquid medicine, which is caused by discharge of the liquid medicine for removal of the air existing in the liquid medicine or between portions of the liquid medicine. Further, the present invention provides a device for regulating liquid medicine supply, wherein air existing between portions of a liquid medicine, which may be produced by a difference in flow speeds of the portions of the liquid medicine flowing in the device, is removed by an air removal filter provided on a discharge path in the device so that an increment of the liquid medicine can be rapidly injected and a user can directly and conveniently regulate the injection amount of the liquid medicine as desired.

Moisture wicking conduit and system

A conduit for use in a pressure support system for communicating a flow of pressurized gas to the airway of a patient includes a first strip of a first material disposed helically about a central longitudinal axis such that subsequent helical convolutions of the first strip are disposed adjacent each other, and a second strip of a second material disposed helically about the central longitudinal axis along the first strip. The second strip is coupled between the subsequent helical convolutions of the first strip so as to form a hollow conduit. The first material is structured to prevent the passage of fluids therethrough. The second material is structured to allow passage of a liquid therethrough while inhibiting passage of gases therethrough.

ARRANGEMENT OF ATOMIZATION ASSEMBLIES FOR AEROSOL DELIVERY DEVICE

The present disclosure provides an aerosol delivery device that may comprise a housing defining an outer wall. The device may further include a power source and a control component, an exit aerosol path defined through an opening, a tank portion that includes a reservoir configured to contain a liquid composition, and an atomization assembly configured to vaporize the liquid composition to generate an aerosol. The atomization assembly may comprise two or more vibrating assemblies each of which includes a mesh plate. In some implementations, the mesh plates may be substantially coplanar and substantially perpendicular to the exit aerosol path. In other implementations, the mesh plates may be non-coplanar.

Conduit with heating element

A conduit for a breathing circuit includes a heater associated, at least in part, with a hydrophilic layer. The purpose of the heater is to evaporate any condensed liquid collecting in the conduit, which is first sucked up by the hydrophilic layer. The heated wick reduces the risk of collected water being passed to the patient and causing choking fits or discomfit. It is preferred that the heated wick lies freely in the conduit to settle at low points in the conduit where condensation may collect.

A NASAL SEAL FOR A RESPIRATORY PATIENT INTERFACE
20210213227 · 2021-07-15 ·

A nasal seal for a respiratory therapy mask for contacting the face of a user. The nasal seal has a main body defining a cavity and a fluid inlet, and has two nasal prongs projecting from the main body for the delivery of fluid to the user's nares. A transition fillet is provided around a base of each prong, between the nasal prong and the main body, with each transition fillet having a constant chord length.

Filter assembly

In one embodiment, a filter assembly for use in an insufflation system is described. The filter assembly comprises: a filter medium operative to filter medical gases; a housing comprising an inlet, an outlet and the filter medium, the housing defining a gases flow path through the filter medium between the inlet and the outlet; and at least one heating element being positioned in the housing and being configured to heat the filter medium; and wherein, the at least one heating element is spaced apart from the filter medium and from an inner surface of the housing.

Electronic vapor provision device with absorbent element

A component of an electronic vapor provision device with a reservoir for storing source liquid, an atomizer for vaporizing source liquid from the reservoir and delivering vapor into an air flow path through the device, and an electrical power supply for providing electrical power to the atomizer comprises an absorbent element to collect source liquid escaped from the reservoir and located so as to be upstream of the atomizer with respect to an air flow direction along the air flow path when the component is assembled into the electronic vapor provision device.

BYPASS FILTER
