METHOD AND COMPOSITION FOR IMPROVED HYDRATION IN ANIMALS
The present invention discloses oral isotonic compositions to provide hydration to mammals in need, comprising a prebiotic oligosaccharide or fructo-oligosaccharide and at least three members of the group consisting of steviol glycoside, citric acid monohydrate, glutamic acid, monosodium glutamate and glycine.
PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTION OR TREATMENT OF CANCER COMPRISING LEUCONOSTOC SP. AS ACTIVE INGREDIENT
The present disclosure relates to a composition for prevention or treatment of cancer, the composition containing, as an active ingredient, a strain belonging to the genus Leuconostoc, isolated from kimchi, or a culture thereof. The genus Leuconostoc strain or the culture thereof according to the present disclosure exhibits excellent anticancer activity, and thus can be advantageously used as a composition for use in treatment, prevention, alleviation, or the like, of human or animal cancer.
SEAWEED BLEND FEED SUPPLEMENT
Use of a seaweed blend to modify gastrointestinal (GI) microbiota of an animal host. Modifying the GI microbiota may comprise modifying a community of bacteria, wherein the community of bacteria comprises Firmicutes and Bacteriodetes and the seaweed blend modifies the ratio of Firmicutes to Bacteriodetes, such as increasing the ratio of Firmicutes to Bacteriodetes. Further, the seaweed blend modifies specific families of commensal bacteria families including Ruminococceae and Lachnospiraceae within the Phyla Firmicutes. The seaweed blend may comprise (i) 65-80 wt % Ulva; (ii) 3-8 wt % Gracilaria; and (iii) 15-25 wt % Sargassum and/or Ascophyllum.

MILK REPLACERS THAT INCLUDE TEXTURED SOY PROTEIN AND METHODS OF FEEDING THE SAME
Milk replacers include milk and non-milk proteins, and at least a portion of the non-milk protein is provided by textured soy protein. The textured soy protein is ground and extruded such that it is substantially free of anti-nutritional factors that are detrimental to young animal health or development. The milk replacers with textured soy proteins are fed to young animals, who demonstrate equal or improved performance compared to young animals fed milk replacers with the same amount of total protein and same amount of soy protein, but the soy protein is from other than textured soy protein.
Life Extension and Quality of Life Improvement for Humans and Other Mammals
The present invention discloses a system and method for increasing the lifespan and quality of life of human beings and other mammals. This discloses methods for preparing and delivering various health and longevity compositions. The compositions of the present invention are selected and designed for the purpose of efficiently delivering health and longevity enhancing therapies through oral supplementation, misting, nasal spray, suppository, etc. An existing compound known to have capacity for life extending potential, rapamycin, is combined with a non-toxic therapeutic anabolic hormone, e.g., DHEA, and cannabidiol (CBD) to enable absorption and effect. These three compounds work together to dramatically improve both the quality of life in aging humans and other mammals as well as extending the life of humans potentially up to 120 healthy years. One preferred embodiment provides a method for continuous low dose supplementation, e.g., incorporated in or with a daily meal. This invention not only resolves the issue of anti-aging of higher life forms, without toxicity, but provides for an improved method for absorption.
Composition comprising aster sphathulifolius maxim extract for preventing, improving, or treating muscular diseases or for improving muscular functions
The present invention relates to a composition comprising Aster sphathulifolius Maxim extract for preventing, improving, or treating muscular diseases and for improving muscular functions. The Aster sphathulifolius Maxim extract according to the present invention exhibits effects of inhibiting the expression of muscle protein breakdown-related factors and increasing the expression of muscle protein synthesis-related factors, as well as alleviating the reduction of muscle tissue weight and cross-sectional area of muscle fibers, and thus can be useful for preventing, improving, or treating muscular diseases and improving muscular functions.
APPARATUS FOR AND METHOD OF STEAM TREATING OF PLANT FIBRES
An apparatus for steam treating plant fibres is provided, the apparatus comprising: a steam manifold that is adapted to receive steam from a steam source and to distribute steam to a plurality of lances, the lances being configured to deliver steam into the interior volume of a batch of plant fibres; a temperature sensor for sensing a temperature of the batch of plant fibres, and a controller. The controller is configured to receive a signal from the temperature sensor, and to control the supply of steam to the lances to raise the temperature of the plant fibres to a target temperature. A method of steaming plant fibres is also provided.
