Circular magnetic field generator and pump
A system may include a magnetic shape memory (MSM) element having a long axis that extends from a first end of the MSM element to a second end of the MSM element. The system may further include a first solenoid, where a longitudinal axis of the first solenoid is positioned at a first angle relative to the long axis of the MSM element. The system may also include a second solenoid, where a longitudinal axis of the second solenoid is positioned at a second angle relative to the long axis of the MSM element and at a third angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the first solenoid, where the longitudinal axis of the first solenoid and the longitudinal axis of the second solenoid are not parallel.
Aftertreatment system, dual fuel system, and dual fuel apparatus
Systems and apparatuses include a selective catalytic reduction system structured to receive exhaust gases from a dual fuel engine system and include a diesel exhaust fluid dosing unit, an ammonia slip catalyst positioned directly downstream of the selective catalytic reduction catalyst, an oxidation catalyst positioned directly downstream of the ammonia slip catalyst, and one or more processing circuits. The circuits receive a system out NOx value, a space velocity, an ammonia to NOx ratio, an exhaust temperature, a substitution rate, and a conversion efficiency target. The circuits determine a conversion efficiency differential, adjust the substitution rate based on the system out NOx value, adjust the ammonia to NOx ratio based on the space velocity, the ammonia to NOx ratio, the exhaust temperature, the substitution rate, the conversion efficiency target, and the conversion efficiency differential, and determine a diesel exhaust fluid dosing rate for the diesel exhaust fluid dosing unit.
Method and system for fuel combustion
A fuel injector assembly for an internal combustion engine includes a proximal end portion, a distal end portion, and a fuel injector extending at least to the distal end portion, the fuel injector including a fuel opening. The fuel injector assembly also includes a chamber formed between the proximal and distal end portions, a flame passage extending from the chamber to the distal end portion, and an atomizer configured to provide atomization of liquid fuel injected into the chamber.
FUEL INJECTOR
An electromagnetic fuel injection valve includes a coupling between an armature and the valve member that allows limited relative movement of the valve member and armature in both the opening and closing directions of the valve member. An injector body includes a non-magnetic section to focus magnetic flux and attractive force through the armature and pole. A modular power group reduces the cost of assembly and includes a plastic encapsulated coil that is protected from environmental moisture and corrosion. A valve seat incorporates a valve seal which improves fuel flow past the valve member when the fuel injection valve is in the open position.
ENGINEERED POWER ON DEMAND
A system, module, and method for generating reliable, high quality power on demand and off-grid includes a photovoltaic array for delivering DC power; a generator having a size ranging from about 5 kW to about 30 kW, and comprising an engine powered by hydrocarbon gas filtered through a coalescing filter and comprising an extended lubrication system; an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) comprising a storage battery, the UPS being coupled to the photovoltaic array for receiving the DC power, and to the generator by a bi-directional inverter for receiving, transmitting, and qualifying DC or AC power; and an intelligent controller coupled to the UPS for controlling output of the DC or AC power to at least one air compressor capable of providing compressed air to one or more pneumatic devices.
METHOD FOR PROCESS-INTEGRATED OXYGEN SUPPLY OF A HYDROGEN CIRCULATION ENGINE COMPRISING RECIRCULATION OF A NOBLE GAS
A method for supplying hydrogen-operated internal combustion engines with oxygen, wherein an inert gas is cycled. An economical local supply of pure oxygen for a closed-cycle hydrogen engine with argon cycling is realized by separating the oxygen from the atmosphere without relying on the useful work of the engine. OSM ceramics and exhaust gas heat and low oxygen partial pressure of the exhaust gas are used to generate oxygen. Two reactors filled with OSM ceramics are used, these reactors being alternately purged with exhaust gas and regenerated with air. Losses of inert gases and the entry of atmospheric nitrogen are avoided by intermediate purging with steam. The steam is generated by the heat of the exhaust gas or exhaust air. A mixture of water vapor, inert gas and oxygen is formed during purging. Subsequently, the oxygen content in the gas phase is markedly increased since water vapor is condensed out.
GAS METERING VALVE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES
A gas metering valve for an internal combustion engine. The gas metering valve includes a housing in which a gas chamber is formed, which includes an inlet opening and an outlet opening. A movable valve element is situated in the gas chamber, which is movable by an electrical actuator against the force of a return spring and which cooperates with a valve seat for opening and closing the inlet opening. A blocking valve is situated between the valve element and the outlet opening, which opens in the flow direction to the outlet opening and blocks in the opposite flow direction.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SUPPLYING FUEL GAS
A system for introducing a gaseous fuel to an internal combustion engine includes a fuel storage device, a compressor, and an air and fuel conduit in fluid communication with the fuel storage device and with the compressor. The air and fuel conduit includes a first passage and a second passage that includes a first portion and a second portion, the second portion being a venturi portion, the second passage being fluidly connected to the compressor in parallel with the first passage.
Fuel module system
A fuel module system is provided. The fuel module system can be mounted on a chassis of a vehicle and deliver a material from a container to an engine at a regulated pressure and a target temperature for optimization of the vehicle. The flow of material can be from the one or more containers to the fuel module system and then to a portion of the engine, wherein the material housed within the one or more containers has a first temperature, a first pressure, and a first flow rate and at the delivery to the portion of engine, the material is adjusted by the fuel module system.
