FLOATING CORE HEAT EXCHANGER
20210017898 · 2021-01-21 ·

An internal combustion engine having an exhaust gas recirculation system includes a heat exchanger having a core configured to circulate a first fluid therethrough, a housing surrounding the core, and at least one coupler disposed between the core and the housing. The housing is configured to circulate a second fluid therethrough and across the core. The first fluid is different from the second fluid. The core includes a housing interface portion whereby the core interfaces with the housing to allow rotational and axial displacement between the core and the housing. The at least one coupler is configured to rotationally couple the core to the housing.

VEHICLE ENGINE

An engine (1) includes: an exhaust purification system (70) housing a GPF device (73) for purifying exhaust gas; and an EGR passage (52) connected to a portion of the exhaust purification system located downstream of the GPF device, and the engine is mounted in an engine compartment (R) defined in a front portion of a vehicle body. The exhaust purification system is located forward of a dash panel (103) constituting the engine compartment, and is positioned to extend toward a tunnel portion (T) of the dash panel. An upstream end portion (52c) of the EGR passage is connected to a lower portion of the exhaust purification system in a vertical direction of the vehicle.

Engine device

An engine device including a cylinder head provided with a plurality of intake fluid passages for taking fresh air into a plurality of intake ports and a plurality of exhaust fluid passages for emitting an exhaust gas from a plurality of exhaust ports. An intake manifold which aggregates the plurality of intake fluid passages is formed integrally with one of left and right side portions of the cylinder head.

ENGINE

An engine 1 includes an exhaust manifold, an intake manifold, and an EGR device configured to supply EGR gas from the exhaust manifold to the intake manifold. An upper end of the EGR cooler extended downward is attached to a downwardly extending attachment part provided to the exhaust manifold.

Exhaust Gas Management System

The present invention relates to an exhaust gas management system which allows cooled exhaust gas recirculation as well as heat recovery through a single integrated module, located downstream of the exhaust line. Additionally, the present invention relates to a propulsion system wherein the cooled exhaust gas is recirculated to the intake manifold of an internal combustion engine.
