The hood (40) having at least one hood-inlet (50) and at least one hood-outlet (52) for air to be fed to the cyclone cells (28). The at least one hood-outlet (52) is designed for surrounding, a plurality of cell-inlets (36) of the cyclone cells (28) of the cyclone block (12). A wall (70) of the hood (40) defines a distributor volume (72) inside the hood (40), which is located between the at least one hood-inlet (50) and the at least one hood-outlet (52). The wall (70) has at least one line or area of inflection (74), where at least one inner surface of the wall (70) changes its curvature.
AIR CLEANER STRUCTURE IN SADDLE-RIDE TYPE VEHICLE
In a saddle-ride type vehicle in which a cleaner case of an air cleaner is configured with first and second case half bodies coupled to each other and arranged in a vehicle width direction, and is arranged in a space surrounded by a vehicle body frame, a first case half body is provided with: a cleaner element insertion/removal port opened outward so as to permit insertion and removal of a cleaner element therethrough; a purified air outlet connected with a connecting tube for guiding purified air to an engine body side; and an outside air suction port for introducing air from an outside into the cleaner case.
BACKPACK TYPE BLOWING APPARATUS
A backpack type blowing apparatus includes an intake pipe that connects an air cleaner fixed to a fan case of an air blower to a carburetor that supplies an evaporated fuel to an engine body, and a top cover fixed to the fan case to cover at least the intake pipe by interposing the intake pipe between the top cover and the fan case. The top cover has a plurality of cover fixing portions fixed to the fan case. An outer circumferential-side fixed portion positioned on an outer circumferential side of the intake pipe in the fan case is included in the plurality of cover fixing portions.
Saddle type vehicle
A saddle type vehicle to improve the workability in fastening a frame and an engine together and thereby to enhance productivity. The saddle type vehicle includes a head pipe, a main frame extending rearwardly from the head pipe, and a seat rail located rearwardly of the main frame for supporting a seat. The main frame is fastened to the engine by fastening members being directed from an outer side toward an inner side in the vehicle widthwise direction. A knock pin is provided between the main frame and the engine, in a position in the vicinity of at least one of the fastening members.
Two-wheeled vehicle
A two-wheeled vehicle includes a frame having a front frame portion, a mid-frame portion, and a rear frame portion. The mid-frame portion is coupled to the rear frame portion and the front frame portion. The vehicle further includes a plurality of ground-engaging members for supporting the frame. The engine includes an air deflector to assist in cooling a rear cylinder of a V-twin engine. An accessory windshield is also shown which may be coupled to the handlebars and front forks of the vehicle. Also, a rear accessory attachment is shown mountable to the rear fender.
Filter elements, air cleaner assemblies, and methods of use and assembly
Air cleaner assemblies, components, and features are described. The features can be used to provide that the air cleaner assembly includes a housing and cover within which primary and secondary filter cartridges, having a media pack and a seal arrangement surrounding the media pack, can be installed. The filter cartridges can include an open end cap with an axially deviating seal arrangement and a plurality of axially extending channels for engaging with ribs on the housing. The filter cartridges can also include extension members extending from the open end cap that include the axially extending channels, entirely or partially. The filter cartridges can also include a guide member extending from the extension members for providing a low friction surface against the housing during installation that allows axial force exerted by the installer to be translated into a rotational force that rotates the filter cartridge during installation.
Hydrocarbon trap and method for manufacture
A hydrocarbon (HC) trap positioned in an intake conduit of an engine is provided. The HC trap includes a stack of consecutively layered polymeric sheets with at least a portion of the sheets impregnated with a HC vapor adsorption/desorption material, the stack of sheets extending from a first exterior surface to a second exterior surface.
Air Intake Assembly and Methods Thereof
Disclosed herein are air intake assemblies for internal combustion engines. In some embodiments, an air intake assembly includes an air filter configured to produce filtered air, a sealed filter housing configured to house the air filter therein, and an intake tube configured to convey the filtered air to an internal combustion engine. The filter housing includes an air intake port configured to provide intake air to the air filter. The air filter is configured to remove particulate matter from the intake air and produce the filtered air, The air filter includes a multi-component coupling interface configured to accept an intake-end portion of the intake tube in the coupling interface. The filter housing includes an aperture configured to accept the coupling interlace of the air filter in the aperture. Also disclosed herein are methods of the air intake assemblies.
Air filter, filter element and filter housing of an air filter
An air filter (10) includes an openable filter housing (12) and a filter element (18). The filter housing (12) includes an inlet (26) and an outlet. A filter element (18) with a filter medium (46) is disposed replaceably in the filter housing separating the inlet (26) from the outlet (22). The filter element (18) features on an exterior side facing away from the element interior space (52) on an axial front face relative to the element axis (32) at least one supporting element (58) having at least one supporting lateral surface (60, 61) with at least one cylindrical portion and/or at least one portion with a variable cross-section in the direction of a main axis.
