An air cleaner includes a housing having an air inlet and an air outlet. The air cleaner further includes a filter media coupled to the housing and positioned between the air inlet and the air outlet, the filter media configured to filter an air flow that enters the housing through the air inlet and exits the housing through the air outlet. The air cleaner includes a rectifier coupled to the housing and positioned at a location downstream of the filter media, the rectifier including an outer ring that is orthogonally oriented with respect to the air flow.
FILTER ELEMENT AND AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
A filter element may include first and second pairs of opposing walls extending along a longitudinal axis of the filter element. The first and second pairs of opposing walls may create a flow passage between an inlet end and an outlet end of the filter element. The filter element may further include filter media configured to separate particulates from air flowing through the flow passage, and a wedge element associated with an exterior surface of at least one of the first pair of opposing walls. The wedge element may be configured to cooperate with an interior surface of a filter housing configured to receive the filter element.
Multi-lipped gasket for an air intake assembly
Systems and methods are disclosed for an air intake assembly comprising an airbox defining a plenum for enclosing an air filter, an intake tube attached to the air filter at a first end of the intake tube, the intake tube having a shoulder, and a multi-lipped gasket for detachably connecting the intake tube to the airbox, the multi-lipped gasket comprising a body portion defining a bore for sealingly engaging the intake tube, a lip adjacent the bore for engaging the shoulder of the intake tube, and a pair of distal lips for sealingly engaging the airbox, wherein the airbox, the air filter, and the intake tube are adapted so that air flows into the airbox, through the air filter, through the intake tube, and into a combustion engine (optionally reaching the combustion engine by first passing through a turbocharger and intercooler) of a vehicle.
Filter Arrangement
A filter housing has a first housing part with a first rim section and a second housing part with a second rim section. The housing parts can be joined and separated from each other in axial mounting direction and define a housing interior for a filter element provided with a circumferentially extending sealing element. The first and second rim sections form a receiving area in which the sealing element is seal-tightly clamped radially between the first and second rim sections when the housing parts are joined in the mounted state. A snap connecting device axially braces the first and second housing parts relative to each other. The snap connecting device is formed integrally on the first and second housing parts such that a clamping force applied by the first and second rim sections on the sealing element in radial direction is decoupled from the snap connecting device.
Air induction systems for internal combustion engines
Air induction systems are for an internal combustion engine. The air induction systems comprise an air intake plenum that conducts intake airflow to an air cleaner for cleaning prior to combustion in the internal combustion engine. The air intake plenum is movable with respect to the air cleaner between an open position separated from the air cleaner and a closed position connected to the air cleaner. A bellows connects the air intake plenum to the air cleaner when the air intake plenum is in the closed position. The bellows has an upstream first end that seals with the air intake plenum and a downstream second end that seals with the air cleaner.

Filtration device having a latch mechanism adapter
A filtration device may include an adapter, a filter element, and a housing. The adapter may include a collar having an upper rim and a lower rim, a plurality of locking tabs extending from the upper rim, and a plurality of snap members extending from the lower rim. The filter element may include a casing and a plurality of receptacles connected to and arranged around a first outer surface of the casing. The plurality of receptacles are configured to receive the plurality of locking tabs. The housing, which is configured to receive the filter element, includes a shell and a plurality of ramp members that are connected to a second outer surface of the shell. The plurality of ramp members are configure to engage the plurality of snap members.
ABNORMALITY DIAGNOSIS DEVICE
An abnormality diagnosis device includes a partially-plugged filter, a pressure difference sensor, a PM sensor, a first estimation portion estimating a diagnosis amount of PM from the partially-plugged filter, according to a running condition of the internal combustion engine, a second estimation portion estimating the diagnosis amount of PM according to an output of the pressure difference sensor, a third estimation portion estimating the diagnosis amount of PM according to an output of the PM sensor, and an abnormality diagnosis portion distinctly determining an abnormality of the internal combustion engine, an abnormality of the partially-plugged filter, and an abnormality of the PM sensor by comparing the diagnosis amount of PM estimated by the first estimation portion, the diagnosis amount of PM estimated by the second estimation portion, and the diagnosis amount of PM estimated by the third estimation portion.
Two-wheeled vehicle
A two-wheeled vehicle includes a frame having a front frame portion, a mid-frame portion, and a rear frame portion. The mid-frame portion is coupled to the rear frame portion and the front frame portion. The vehicle further includes a plurality of ground-engaging members for supporting the frame. The front frame portion is removably coupled to the mid-frame portion with a plurality of frame members extending between the front frame portion and the mid-frame portion.
TURBO-BOOST CONTROLLED INTAKE SYSTEM
A turbo-boost controlled intake system is disclosed that provides a driver of a vehicle with greater control over vehicle performance. The turbo-boost controlled intake system includes a control module that is coupled with an aircharger air intake. The control module instructs an electronic control unit of the vehicle to increase manifold pressure to a higher level before releasing the pressure through a waste gate so as to provide a greater power output of the engine. The turbo-boost controlled intake system further includes a wiring harness and a signal adjuster. The wiring harness couples the control module with a turbo inlet pressure sensor, a manifold absolute pressure sensor, and an electronic control unit of the vehicle. The signal adjuster includes a rheostat that enables manual adjustment of the power output of the engine.
