Rectification structural body

A rectification structural body includes an inlet port into which air from an air cleaner flows, an outlet port from which air flows out toward an airflow sensor, and a chamber provided between the inlet port and the outlet port. The inlet port and the outlet port are provided in such directions and at such positions that an air flow is bent in the chamber. The chamber includes two cases of a first case and a second case, the chamber being divided into the two cases.

A vehicle air filter housing having a broad band tuner. The housing is formed from a tray having a divider wall defining an unfiltered air induction chamber and a tuner chamber. A cover securable to the tray includes a second divider wall defining a filtered air chamber and a flow path chamber. A filter member provides a seal between the tray and the cover, and holds an air filter between the unfiltered air chamber and the filtered air chamber. A plate securable to the flow path chamber has a plurality of perforations. Air inducted through the inlet passes through the air filter and flows through the flow path chamber at a velocity whereby the filtered air passes over the perforated plate and predetermined frequencies pass through the plate perforations for attenuation in the tuner chamber. The tuners in the tuner chamber may be sized to attenuate different frequencies.

An air cleaner assembly can contain an air filter element to filter contaminant material out of an air stream. In some examples, the air cleaner assembly includes a housing with an integrated noise suppression chamber for supplying air to a downstream compressor. The housing forms a cavity into which an air filter element is inserted. Contaminated air enters the housing and passes through the air filter. Filtered air can discharge from the housing through a first opening supplying air to a combustion engine and a second opening supplying air to a compressor. Air supplied to the compressor passes from the interior of the housing containing the filter element and through the integrated noise suppression chamber before being discharged. The acoustic energy released by the filtered air stream exiting the air cleaner assembly may be reduced by passing through the noise suppression chamber.

An air cleaner assembly can contain an air filter element to filter contaminant material out of an air stream. In some examples, the air cleaner assembly includes a housing with an integrated noise suppression chamber for supplying air to a downstream compressor. Filtered air can discharge from the housing through a first opening supplying air to a combustion engine and a second opening supplying air to a compressor. The acoustic energy released by the filtered air stream exiting the air cleaner assembly may be reduced by passing through the noise suppression chamber.
