A deformation inhibiting device for inhibiting deformation of a fuel tank includes a strut member. The strut member includes a bottom support portion and a top support portion configured to support a bottom wall portion and a top wall portion, respectively, of the fuel tank when the strut member is disposed within the fuel tank. The strut member is deformable or movable between an arrangement state for arrangement within the fuel tank and an insertion enabled state configured to be inserted into the fuel tank via the opening.

On-board fuel adjustment by molecular separation

An on-board fuel separation system includes a supply fuel tank configured to store an input fuel stream; a fuel separator fluidly coupled to the supply fuel tank and configured to separate the input fuel stream into a first fractional fuel stream and a second fractional fuel stream. The fuel separator includes a membrane that includes a plurality of pores sized based on a molecular size of one or more components of the first fractional fuel stream. The system includes a first fractional fuel tank fluidly coupled to the fuel separator to receive the first fractional fuel stream passed through the membrane and defined by a first auto-ignition characteristic value. The system includes a second fractional fuel stream coupled to the fuel separator to receive the second fractional fuel stream from the fuel separator that is defined by a second auto-ignition characteristic value that is different than the first auto-ignition characteristic value.

Fuel supply device

A fuel supply device has a module installed in a fuel tank. The module has a cap and a support pillar arranged between the cap and a bottom of the fuel tank. The support pillar supports a suction filter and a level sensor to use the bottom of the fuel tank as a base point for defining proper positions. The cap supports a valve relevant to ventilation of the fuel tank. The valve is supported by a base portion. The valve is positioned in the support pillar. The valve and the support pillar are arranged to overlap each other along the height direction. Various components are arranged in the small cap.

Structure for installing fuel pump in fuel tank

In a structure for installing a fuel pump in a fuel tank, in which the fuel pump is attached to the fuel tank by clamping a flange portion of a pump case of the fuel pump between the fuel tank and a retainer fastened to the fuel tank, an interference portion is formed integrally with an inner peripheral edge of the retainer while being overhung inward in a radial direction, the interference portion being capable of interfering with any one of protruding portions when a relative position in a peripheral direction of the retainer with respect to the flange portion is set at a non-normal position, and a non-normal surface of opposite surfaces of the retainer is faced to the flange portion.
