Configurable output driver ASIC
A fuel system includes an electronic control module (ECM), at least one injector coupled to the ECM, and a configurable output driver circuit coupled to the at least one injector. The configurable output driver circuit includes a channel that enables adaptation of ECM outputs. The configurable output driver circuit is configurable based on a value stored in a register circuit.
Fuel injector
An electrical module for use within a fuel injector for delivering fuel to an internal combustion engine is described. The electrical module has a variable length. The electrical module comprises electrical contacts for operatively connecting the electrical module to a power plug of a fuel injector. The electrical module also comprises an actuator for operatively controlling a control valve disposed within the fuel injector. The electrical module also comprises electrical conductors arranged within a protective housing. These electrical conductors provide an electrical connection between the electrical contacts and the actuator in order to provide electrical power to the actuator when the electrical contacts are operatively connected to the power plug of the fuel injector. The body of the electrical module is comprised of a compressible elastic element, such that the length of the module is variable by compressing the elastic element. Injectors including such electrical modules are also described.
FUEL INJECTOR WIRING HARNESS TRAY
A tray configured to support a fuel injector wiring harness is disclosed. The tray may include a first end, a second end opposite the first end, a bottom wall extending between the first end and the second end, and the bottom wall may be configured to support the fuel injector wiring harness above a rocker arm support. Moreover, the tray may include a tab outwardly extending from the tray, and the tab may include a top surface, a bottom surface opposite the top surface, and an aperture extending between the top surface and the bottom surface. The aperture may be configured to circumscribe a stud upwardly extending from the rocker arm support.
Connecting arrangement and corresponding method
A connecting arrangement for electrically connecting at least two cable ends of electrical cables, in particular of stranded wires, and for providing a hermetic seal between the cable ends has a connection sleeve for receiving the cable ends. The connection sleeve comprises at least a first chamber for receiving one of the cable ends, wherein the first chamber includes a partition wall with respect to the other cable end.
Process for the preparation of hollow nanoparticles with a metal core
The present invention relates to silica hollow nanoparticles having inside their cavity a metal core consisting of inorganic nanostructures coated by a protective agent and agglomerated with a polymeric aggregating agent, useful in particular in medicine in the bio-imaging techniques and/or in the radio-therapeutic or chemo-therapeutic techniques; the invention moreover refers to a process for the preparation of such nanoparticles.
Fuel injection control device
A fuel injection control device which is provided with an input terminal to which a first pulse signal for driving a liquid fuel injection valve is input and an output terminal from which the first pulse signal is output, and converts the first pulse signal which is input from the input terminal to a second pulse signal for driving a gaseous fuel injection valve, includes: a P-channel field-effect transistor interposed in a wiring which connects the input terminal and the output terminal; a switching control section which performs switching control between an ON state and an OFF state of the field-effect transistor; and a gate drive circuit which maintains the field-effect transistor in the ON state in a case where power supply to the switching control section is not performed.
Method of adaptively sampling data to determine the start of injection in a solenoid actuated valve
A method of adaptively sampling data to determine the start of injection in a solenoid actuated valve of a fluid injector includes, in an operating cycle or portion thereof of the valve, sampling the signal of current through a solenoid of the valve at sampling points having a pre-defined interval therebetween. At each sampling point, determining the value of the first derivative of current and detecting the sampling point at which the first derivative achieves a maximum as the start of injection. Values of the first derivative of the sampling points immediately preceding and immediately following the start of injection are determined. In a subsequent operating cycle, synchronisation of sampling is altered to shift sampling times depending on the values of the first derivative of the sampling points immediately preceding and immediately following the start of injection.
Electrical connector for a SCR doser
An electrical connector is provided to be arranged at the end of an electrical cable for complementary connection of an electro-actuator. The connector has a body defining a passage for the cable. The connector also has a hook to mechanically engage with a complementary feature of the electro-actuator.
FUEL INJECTION VALVE AND FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM
In a fuel injection valve that is inserted along a shape of an attachment hole formed in a cylinder head and that directly injects fuel supplied from a fuel supply section into a combustion chamber via a stepped section, the fuel supply section includes: a fuel cup, an end of which has a tapered section; a seal ring that prevents leakage of the fuel to the outside; and a support ring that supports the seal ring, the stepped section includes: a nozzle that injects the fuel into the combustion chamber; and an attachment shaft that has a larger radius than the nozzle, and a first gap in an axial direction between the tapered section and the support ring is larger than a second gap in the axial direction between the attachment hole and the attachment shaft.
Electric actuation of a valve based on knowledge of the closing point and opening point of the valve
A method for determining an effective injection time of a valve having a coil drive includes determining an opening time of the valve, determining a closing time of the valve, and determining the effective injection time of the electric actuation of the valve for an injection operation based on the defined opening time and the defined closing time.
