20230105416 · 2023-04-06 · ·

A method of making a fluid injector for a gas turbine engine includes depositing material onto a piece of tube stock. The method includes machining the deposited material into a fluid injector component. Depositing can include laser cladding the material onto the piece of tube stock. The method can include placing or flowing braze into a braze joint location between the deposited material and another fluid injector component and forming the braze into a braze joint in the braze joint location.

In general, the subject matter described in this disclosure can be embodied in a fuel injector that includes an upper housing portion that defines an inlet passage adapted to receive fuel, and a lower housing portion that is attached to the upper housing portion and that defines an injector outlet adapted to dispense fuel. The fuel injector includes an electromagnetic coil assembly that is user removable while the upper housing portion remains attached to the lower housing portion. The fuel injector includes a movable pintle that is biased to a closed position that is adapted to prevent fuel from flowing through the injector outlet, and movable, responsive to magnetic force produced by energizing the electromagnetic coil assembly, to an open position that is adapted to permit fuel to flow through the injector outlet.

Fuel injection valve

A fuel injection valve includes a valve body, a fixed core, a movable core, a holder, and a stopper. The movable core has an inner core that contacts the stopper, and an outer core press-fitted to an outer peripheral surface of the inner core. The outer core has, in a moving direction of the movable core, a press-fit region which is press-fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the inner core, and a non-press-fit region which is not press-fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the inner core and is adjacent to the press-fit region in the moving direction. Between the inner peripheral surface of the holder and the outer peripheral surface of the movable core, the smallest gap in the press-fit region is larger than the smallest gap in the non-press-fit region.

NEEDLE STROKE SWITCH AND FUEL INJECTOR HAVING SUCH A NEEDLE STROKE SWITCH

A needle stroke switch and a fuel injector having such a switch, the needle stroke switch including a seat plate having a plate-like main body and a passage connecting the two planar sides of the plate-like main body, an anchor element which can be lifted off from the passage in the seat plate, and a control valve which is arranged on the side of the seat plate opposite the anchor element and is designed to interact with a nozzle needle. The seat plate is electrically isolated from a surrounding injector housing and an electrical connection to the injector housing is possible only via the nozzle needle which interacts with the seat plate. Furthermore, the needle stroke switch is characterised in that at least one ceramic and/or plastic part is provided which contacts the seat plate in order to isolate the seat plate from the surrounding injector housing.

An electromagnetic fuel injection valve includes a coupling between an armature and the valve member that allows limited relative movement of the valve member and armature in both the opening and closing directions of the valve member. An injector body includes a non-magnetic section to focus magnetic flux and attractive force through the armature and pole. A modular power group reduces the cost of assembly and includes a plastic encapsulated coil that is protected from environmental moisture and corrosion. A valve seat incorporates a valve seal which improves fuel flow past the valve member when the fuel injection valve is in the open position.

Valve Assembly for an Injection Valve and Injection Valve

A valve assembly for an injection valve is disclosed, including a valve body with a cavity, a valve needle axially moveable in the cavity, the valve needle being fixedly connected to a retaining element which extends in radial direction and is arranged in an axial region of the valve needle facing away from the fluid outlet portion, and an armature being able to slide on the valve needle and acting on the needle by way of the retaining element. A conical spring is arranged between the retaining element and a top side of the armature facing the retaining element, biasing the armature away from the retaining element.

FUEL INJECTION VALVE

An object of the present invention is to provide a fuel injection valve configured to suppress bouncing of a valve element that is caused as a result of the valve element being rendered elastic when the valve element collides with a valve seat.

The fuel injection valve of the present invention includes the valve element configured to come into contact with the valve seat for closing an injection hole and to separate from the valve seat for unclosing the injection hole, an elastic member urging the valve element toward the valve seat, a movable iron core disposed to be in and out of contact with the valve element, a fixed iron core disposed to be opposed to the movable iron core, and a coil configured to generate electromagnetic force for moving the movable iron core. At least one lower rigidity part having reduced rigidity per axial unit length is provided between a surface where urging force of the elastic member is transmitted to the valve element and a seat part whereat the valve element comes into contact with and separates from the valve seat.
