An electronic cigarette includes a liquid supply including liquid material, a heater operable to heat the liquid material to a temperature sufficient to vaporize the liquid material and form an aerosol, a wick in communication with the liquid material and in communication with the heater such that the wick delivers the liquid material to the heater, at least one air inlet operable to deliver air to a central air passage upstream of the heater, and a mouth end insert having at least two diverging outlets. The electronic cigarette can also include an air flow diverter which directs incoming air away from a heating zone of the heater.

An electronic smoking article includes a liquid supply including liquid material, a heater operable to heat the liquid material to a temperature sufficient to vaporize the liquid material and form an aerosol, a wick in communication with the liquid material and in communication with the heater such that the wick delivers the liquid material to the heater, at least one air inlet operable to deliver air to a central air passage upstream of the heater, and a mouth end insert having at least two diverging outlets.

An integrated drug delivery and biosensor (IDDB) system is implemented on a patch or arm band. The drug delivery system includes needles adapted to pierce the skin and direct injection of a predetermined dosage of medication through the needles into the epidermis of the skin of a patient. The integrated biosensor monitors absorption of the medication into the epidermis of the skin of the patient and may also monitor concentration of the medication or other relevant substances in arterial blood flow of the patient. The integrated biosensor may also monitor a patient's vitals in response to the medication. The integrated biosensor may then alter dosage or frequency of administration of dosages or even halt a dosage of medication in response to the patient's vitals or absorption of the medication.

In one embodiment, the electronic vaping device includes a cartridge and a battery section. The cartridge and the battery section are connectable so as to define an air inlet between a portion of the cartridge and a portion of the battery section.

An aerosol generating device is provided, including: a storage portion configured to store an aerosol-forming substrate, the storage portion having an outer housing and an internal passageway, the storage portion forming a reservoir for the aerosol-forming substrate between the outer housing and the internal passageway; a vaporizer configured to heat the aerosol-forming substrate to form an aerosol, the vaporizer being disposed at least partially inside the internal passageway in the storage portion; and a porous interface at least partially lining the internal passageway and being configured to convey the aerosol-forming substrate from the storage portion towards the vaporizer.

A composition of food or therapeutic and other substances for administration as a cloud of droplets, the cloud comprising readily-soluble droplets having a median size range of approximately 3 microns to approximately 20 microns, or 5 microns to 10 microns, or 6 microns to 10 microns, for introduction to an animal via an ortho-nasal or retro-nasal route. Agonists or antagonists may include one or more of the following: sodium iodide, sodium chloride, magnesium chloride, capsaicin, piperine, linalool, ground cinnamon, a cannabinoid, pimento, onion, clove, thyme, ginger, menthol, or TRPV antagonists, and chocolate, Irish cream, caramel, lemon, lime, mango, raspberry, watermelon, blueberry, strawberry, mint, popcorn, meat, Resolvin D2 or nicotine. Devices for delivering compositions as an aerosol are described.
