A cam follower is provided having a tappet that includes a cylindrical outer surface centered on a longitudinal axis and adapted to slide in a housing surrounding the tappet, a pin extending between two opposite ends along a transverse axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, a roller element movable in rotation relative to the pin around the transverse axis and adapted to roll on a cam, and lubrication channels for lubricating the pin and the roller. The cam follower further provides a support element mounted in the tappet and supporting the pin, and the lubrication channels include at least one pair of consecutive channels formed through the tappet and the support element. The invention also provides an injection pump and a valve actuator for a motor vehicle, each having such a cam follower. The invention finally provides a method for manufacturing such a cam follower.

The fuel pump assembly includes a plunger assembly and a pump block defining a pumping chamber and a plunger assembly cavity in communication with the pumping chamber. The plunger assembly is movable at least partially in the plunger assembly cavity towards and from the pumping chamber. The fuel pump assembly includes a metering valve and a suction channel located between the metering valve and the pumping chamber in an intended direction of flow of the fuel, wherein the fuel pump assembly comprises a leakage return conduit, with a first leakage return conduit opening in fluid communication with said plunger assembly cavity, adapted to return fuel that has leaked from the pumping chamber. The leakage return conduit includes a second leakage return conduit opening located in the suction channel.

A high pressure pump is provided to be used in a fuel feeding system for a vehicle engine and receive a fuel primarily pressurized by a low pressure pump, and secondarily compresses the fuel to increase the pressure of the fuel for supplying the fuel to a fuel injector. The high pressure pump includes a pump body and a camshaft that is rotatably installed in the pump body to be rotated using torque transmitted from an exterior of the pump body. Additionally, a roller bearing rotatably supports the camshaft in the pump body and an inlet port is disposed on the pump body to introduce a primarily pressurized fluid into the pump body. An orifice is configured to supply the fluid to the roller bearing while reducing a pressure of the fluid introduced via the inlet port.

An embodiment system for lubricating a hydrogen injector in a vehicle includes an extraction and separation device configured to collect at least a fraction of an exhaust gas of a hydrogen combustion engine and separate a water component from the collected fraction of the exhaust gas to provide liquid water and dried exhaust gas and a reactor connected to the extraction and separation device and configured to generate nitric acid from the liquid water and a nitrogen oxide content of the dried exhaust gas, wherein the hydrogen injector is connected to the reactor and configured to receive the generated nitric acid for lubrication.

At least the housing is adapted to be substantially filled with oil in use and the guide includes at least one flow passage communicating between the first chamber and the second chamber.
