FUEL RAIL
A fuel rail for an engine includes a tubular body having an outer surface and an inner surface, the inner surface defining a longitudinally extending fuel bore. The fuel rail also includes a valve bore extending normal to the fuel bore and extending through the outer surface of the tubular body at a first end and completely through the fuel bore to a second end.
INJECTOR ALIGNMENT APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
An apparatus, method, and system for aligning at least one injector body to be installed into an engine block along a first direction. The alignment apparatus includes a first alignment member configured to swing between a clearance position and an alignment position, wherein the first alignment member is configured to align the at least one injector body along a second direction when in the alignment position. The apparatus further includes a second alignment member configured to align the at least one injector body along a third direction by contacting the at least one injector body via a first and second contacting portion.
Fuel supply system for engine
A fuel supply system for an engine having a plurality of cylinders is provided, which includes a plurality of fuel injection valves configured to inject fuel into the cylinders in a given order, a first distribution pipe configured to distributingly supply fuel to some of the plurality of fuel injection valves of which the fuel injection orders are not successive in the given order, a second distribution pipe configured to distributingly supply fuel to a remainder of the plurality of fuel injection valves of which the fuel injection orders are not successive in the given order, a fuel pump part configured to discharge fuel, a first feed pipe connecting a first discharge part of the fuel pump part with the first distribution pipe, and a second feed pipe connecting a second discharge part of the fuel pump part and the second distribution pipe.
Fuel Rail Damper with Locating Features
A fuel injection system includes a fuel rail, and a damper that is disposed inside the fuel rail. The damper includes outwardly protruding first barbs formed integrally on one end of the damper and outwardly protruding second barbs formed integrally on an opposed end of the damper. The first barbs and the second barbs each engage the fuel rail inner surface, whereby the damper is located and retained within the fuel rail. The first barbs and the second barbs may be generally triangular in profile and each extend at an acute angle relative to the damper longitudinal axis. In addition, the first barbs and the second barbs are each oriented in the same direction relative to the longitudinal direction, whereby the damper is asymmetric when viewed in side view.
Wheeled vehicle
Disclosed is a vehicle. The vehicle generally includes a frame to support an engine and one or more ground supports, such as wheels, to support the frame. The engine may include an internal combustion power plant and a fuel supply system therefore.
Fuel pipe
A fuel pipe includes a tubular header pipe and a socket coupled to the header pipe and supplied with fuel from the header pipe. The header pipe and the socket form a joining portion therebetween. The joining portion is shaped to be elongated in a first direction. The joining portion includes a communication hole that connects an inner region of the header pipe and an inner region of the socket. The communication hole is an elongated hole elongated in the first direction.
Combination carburetor and fuel injection system
A combination system may include a carburetor in fluid communication with an engine intake tract and a fuel injector in fluid communication with the engine intake tract.
Pump device and fuel supply device for an internal combustion engine and mixing device, in particular for a motor vehicle
A pump device for an internal combustion engine, having a high-pressure fuel pump for supplying fuel to a first injection device, having at least one low-pressure inlet, via which the fuel is fed to the high-pressure fuel pump from a low-pressure fuel pump, having at least one low-pressure outlet for conducting the fuel conveyed by the low-pressure fuel pump and fed via the low-pressure inlet to the high-pressure fuel pump out of the high-pressure fuel pump, and having at least one low-pressure port, for conducting fuel conveyed by the low-pressure fuel pump to a second injection device. At least one mixing region mixes the fuel flowing through the low-pressure outlet with fuel fed to the mixing region from the low-pressure fuel pump upstream of the high-pressure fuel pump. The low-pressure port is fluidically connected to the mixing region, and the low-pressure inlet is supplied with fuel from the mixing region.
Long injector for fuel injection into an internal combustion engine
Various embodiments may include a long injector for fuel injection comprising: a base portion and an extension portion electrically connected to the base portion. An end of the extension portion may include an electrically conductive terminal with contact clips. The contact clips are spaced at a distance from each other or from a side wall of the electrically conductive terminal. An end of the base portion comprises electrical contacts positioned so each of the electrical contacts can slide into a contact clip of the electrically conductive terminal. The electrically conductive terminal includes a latch mechanism. An electrical connection between the base portion and the extension portion is created when the electrical contacts are inserted into the contact clip and held by the latch mechanism. The long injector further comprises an overmolded body encapsulating the electrical connection between the base portion and the extension portion.
Fuel injection assembly
The present disclosure relates in general to injectors and, more specifically, to a fuel injection assembly that may be used in an internal combustion engine. In some embodiments, a fuel injection assembly may include: a fuel injector with a fuel inlet port and a fuel outlet end; and an injector cup with a recess receiving the fuel inlet port of the fuel injector through an opening of the recess. The injector cup comprises a collar extending circumferentially around the opening. The injector cup comprises a tab extending longitudinally beyond the opening in a direction towards the fuel outlet end. The tab projects axially beyond the collar in a longitudinal direction towards the fuel outlet end. The fuel injector comprises a pocket receiving the tab.
